If I could give no stars I would. I was sent here by my insurance as my brand new car was a victim of road gator (diesel thread) and got some body damage. At drop off Brian walked vehicle with me was very kind and explained it could take up to 2 weeks to repair. Shocked, I received a call 2 days later my vehicle was ready. When I went to pick up my vehicle was charged my fee and handed my keys.....nobody to walk and confirm work order was complete.....which it was not. It had chipped paint, parts not fully clipped in and paint overspray on car and interior. I had to request someone to see it was not completed. GM came out. Was informed by GM Micheal that first thing Monday morning he would personally ensure it was corrected. I received nothing from Gerber Monday but received a call from insurance that car would be completed that day. I get a text that production manager Dave ensured my vehicle was done and ready for pick up. I leave work early to arrive before close at 5pm and handed my keys to be gone. I had to request someone to walk my vehicle as it still was not completed. Brian and Dave walk my vehicle now per request and confirm not completed and gave their word it would be corrected. Here we are Tuesday at 4:30 I arrive to pick up since Maria called it was ready. My damages that were needing fixing were finally complete, although the mess they left behind from being in my car is left on my leather. Seat has what appears as grease from where they sat in my car (Brian confirmed this) and on console where they leaned on it with dirty arms. Both men assured their words this would be cleaned up along with overspray. If you don't want your car worse then when you take it in or have work half ass done, I highly discourage you to bring your car here. Have insurance redirect you!! read more

I was recently rear ended. My insurance works with Gerber and this location had good reviews. I brought my car in for my appointment. I was able to leave my car and walk to the Enterprise next door to get my rental. The shops appraiser looked at my car the same day and he called to let me know it was a potential total loss. The next week my insurance confirmed it. Gerber helped me get my belongings out of the trunk (which had been unable to be opened due to the accident), they helped me sign over my title, and empathized with losing my vehicle. While my car was not repaired through them, they made it an easy process, were communicative, and they understood the frustration in dealing with the process after an accident. Do NOT bring your vehicle here. I brought my car in after it was hit in a parking lot. The repairs should have been pretty simple: replace the bumper and paint it. Unfortunately they decided to do a rush job on my car and cut corners in the process. The bumper was crooked when I came to pick it up the first time and they painted the black plastic accent pieces (instead of replacing them) so they didn't match up with the unpainted pieces on the opposite side of the car. My concerns about the poor quality repair were brushed aside by my estimator Brian but he eventually agreed to bring the car back in to fix their poor work. It took a month before they had an opening for me to bring my car back. They ended up keeping it for 5 days the second attempt to do the job right. Unfortunately the bumper was still crooked when I came to pick it up the second time. They brought my vehicle back into the garage an additional 3 times trying to get the bumper on straight and still couldn't get it right. Eventually it was clear they can't do quality work and I decided to cut my losses and take my car with a crooked bumper. I can't imagine how this shop can do quality work on a vehicle with substantial damage when they can't even get simple repair like mine done correctly. Again, avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other body shops worth your business out there. As an added bonus, I included a picture of all of the allen bolts they stripped out to further illuminate how poor of a job they did. read more

We had a little run in with a bucket flying off a truck on the 101 that unfortunately being rush hour there was no way to avoid resulting in damage to our front bumper and lower light. After getting a few quotes, and realizing it was not a small repair we contained our insurance company and they directed us to Gerber. Everything went smoothly and we were able to get our vehicle fixed and back ahead of the timeline that our estimate Brian gave us so overall a great experience, again no one ever wants to visit a body shop, but given the situation, we were 100% satisfied. The entire process was seamless starting from filing my claim with my insurance company GEICO. I was able to find a Gerber location near me, set an appointment and reserve a rental car. Once at Gerber, the process was quick and easy. They even contacted Enterprise on my behalf to pick me up to get my rental. They kept me informed via text through the entire repair process and even finished my car a day in advance. My vehicle was referred to this shop after a collision. My vehicle had less than 4000 miles on it at the time and was in perfect condition. It's been 4 months and I have had to take it back 4 times to thier shop because the repairs are not being done properly. Additionally, evertime I take it back it takes 3 times longer than they say it will take. When I take it back, it always comes back with an additional problem that wasn't there before. They're customer service is ok, but their work is horrible. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this shop. The work they do is subpar and the employees completing the repairs are extremely incompetent! read more

October 19th is when I had an appointment scheduled to drop my vehicle off for repairs, filled out some paperwork turned it in & was advised it could take up to two weeks was told an estimated date of October 31 at 4PM.Let the waiting begin. Not impressed with the work . Paint has run downs . Door hanging ,bolts on hinges pealing and loose . hinge ,door needs to be picked up to close. Door repair horrible air noise when driving . Door don't line up with the body . Including fenders . Puddle of paint on a door that wasn't even damage but was repainted for some reason . Jeep Wrangler was in shop for 3 weeks. read more

I'm extremely surprised this shop has such great reviews, as my experience was literally the opposite. Long story short, they were a nightmare to get ahold of, I left voice mails for the tech that was handling my case, Alberto, that did not get returned. I would ask for updates and never hear back; had to continuously be the one to initiate correspondence, etc. In addition, I was informed my car was finished two separate times, only to be told something came up LAST MINUTE. The second time I was told it actually wasn't ready for pick up and "something came up", I expressed my concern to Alberto and asked if my car was being handled correctly. He responded, essentially stating my car was being handled well. That email was nice and reassuring, until I went to pick up my car the next day. I show up, super excited to get my car after a month of being in the shop, to a HUGE crack in my windshield that WAS NOT THERE when I entrusted Gerber with my car. My accident was rough, and there was a lot of damage to the front end, but absolutely nothing was wrong with my windshield upon drop off at Gerber, and I have photos to prove it. The tech that took me out to inspect my car initially said that they would replace the windshield because the "original" photos of my car did not show any crack, and that they obviously were at fault. I say thank you, he goes back in to finish up, and then comes back out stating that Alberto wants to talk to me about the windshield. He brings up photos that were "the original photos" they took 4 DAYS AFTER I dropped my car off, showing the huge crack in the windshield. Because of this, he said I had to go through my insurance and make a glass claim, and refused to take responsibility for the crack. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Here's what is wrong with that: 1) If this was in fact true, and the crack was there when I dropped off my car, that should have been included in my claim. Gerber should have included that in their estimate. My insurance provider should have been made away of the crack FROM DAY ONE. It was their job as a collision repair shop to document that there was a crack, and to go through my insurance to sort that out. 2) My car was there for a month. In all of that time, not once was the crack mentioned to me OR my insurance provider. As they were tearing apart my car and putting it back again, no one thought the crack MIGHT be an issue? What a joke. Alberto claimed Gerber was taking such good care of my car, and that's why my car was delayed TWICE; because they noticed things that were not upto par and "wanted me to be happy with their service". In the end, I had to contact my insurance provider and battle with them over who would pay for the windshield. I did not care who paid, or how, this was going to be taken care of, but I was not about to let Gerber Collision force me to pay a huge deductible AGAIN for something that was THEIR FAULT. Luckily, Esurance took the hit and paid to get the windshield replaced for me, as they knew Gerber was in the wrong and my insurance adjuster wanted to be sure I was taken care of. Alas, I will be telling my story all over social media, advising people to stay away from this shop. It was the worst car repair experience I've ever had. read more
