Do not go here if you have a BMW! Insurance suggested this place to repair my door. They had it for 6 weeks and on the ride home the car was bucking like a bronco along with jolting and stammering upon accelerating. I took it right back and they had it for another week and said they had taken it to the bmw dealership and "fixed it". A day later the drive terrain was malfunctioning and took it back. This time they did take it to the BMW dealership and it was found to have loose wires among other things and currently isn't working. Gerber collision is not taking any responsibility! read more

I would give a MUCH lower rating if I could. This is the absolutely WORST service provider I have ever encountered in any domain. They have dropped the ball at EVERY turn. They have been way late on absolutely EVERY promised date they have given me, they have never called me ONCE to give me any updates. Every update I ever received was because I called them! What is more, they repeatedly failed to do a critical part of the job even though I told them about it FOUR times! They have never ONCE returned a phone call to me. All they do is make excuses and give empty apologies. By all appearances, the employees do not talk to each other. They have ZERO communication which is why I could tell them the same thing 4 times and it still doesn't get done. Why I've asked for call backs 3 times and have never received a single one of them. They have my car right now. I figured I'd wait to give this review until I get my car back, but why wait? I've tried being nice to them. I've tried yelling at them. I've emailed their corporate head office to tell them how terrible their service has been. I've even had my insurance company call them. They STILL haven't provided any updates. So, "hi" to the Gerber PR person who will reply to this comment and tell me how sorry you are to hear about this and how you'll look into it - like you have for every other complaint here. Since I have your attention, can you PLEASE call this branch and tell them to finish the work on my Prius so I can get it back and never have to deal w/ these people again. My next call will be to the Better Business Bureau. Absolutely STUNNING incompetence. Nothing but excuses, unfulfilled promises, complete lack of communication, complete lack of accountability. (UPDATE Below) For me customer service is number one! Do you know a lot of people say this place has good service. Some say no... I know for me I had work done on my car about three years ago and I really liked working with one of the employees there. The work and quote seemed good. Then, I stopped in last week - 12\8- On a Friday. One of the employees was coming out and walking through the parking lot and offered to help me. She snap some pics of the area I wanted some repair on and said she would send a quote out on Monday. I waited. Nothing happened. I called and left a message with the secretary late in the day. Nobody ever called me back Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. So I called and asked to speak to the manager. He answered me back. However, his tone of voice seemed irritated. I couldn't tell if he was irritated with me??? Or if he was irritated that the girl who didn't do her job? Well Long story short, he sent me an email of the quote. It was more than I thought as far as the money and the work to be done. I think because he didn't come and assess the car himself, he misunderstood what I had asked for originally. Instead the work quote was put all together; Where I had requested two areas to be separated out: one for the insurance company to reimburse, and the other for me to pay out-of-pocket. Two stars you ask? Well I emailed him back to explain what I was looking for in my quote and I also asked about some repair he had quoted that I didn't think was necessary. All of this on Wednesday afternoon. Now one week later I have never heard back from him via email. So one of my big QUESTION is: What manager does not check his email? Maybe there is a manager somewhere who doesn't besides the one here at Gerber... But because of this lack of communication and the attitude I heard on the phone, all I can say is Gerber lost some business with this customer and I'm wondering about all of you out in Yelp land. UPDATE: Well I had my car repaired, and I am not very happy at all. I have do you have the rubber lining in my door replaced, and a new window put in along with tinting. The first thing I noticed when I went to pick up my car were scratches in the tiny. I told them they had to redo it.. The Gerber representative totally agreed. BUT that's time out of my schedule to drop off the car and pick up a rental and wait to be notified that my car is ready. To top this all off, they wanted me to pay for the insurance protection on the rental car. I agreed at the place because the manager would not come out to talk to me. I thought about it on the way home and decided: Why should I pay for a rental car that I wouldn't need if it wasn't for their shoddy work? When I got home I called the National office and they took the charges off my credit card.Now that I have the car, the window is very stiff going up and down and it rattles if I leave it down a crack for some air. Also, I can hear the wind howl when I'm driving more than 45 miles an hour, esp. on the freeway. l am Just not in the mood to deal with it anymore. But I'll never go here again. read more

Counter help is next to nothing, and service overall is BRUTAL. Estimator said he would have it to me in 15 min. I received it next day with fight. If your looking for service don't go here. Was on hold for 45 mins hung up called back was on hold for another 37 mins., I was on hold so long I had time to dive to the shop to pick up the estimate. Had a fender bender on Dec 2022 did not get in till Feb 2023 I dropped my truck on a Mon around 11 am and my truck was stolen that same day . They leave the gate open your keys on the dashboard and no security cameras so anybody can walk up and take your vehicle and I did not receive a call till 3days later from tge police officer so it tells me that the manager does not care about your security of your vehicle. read more

I took my car in for a repair and they broke the covering of my A/c and continued to gaslight me and say oh well it must have been cracked before. It was not and i had led lights that you slide into the cracks to light up your car. They were completely ripped out along with my broken A/c. They told me there is nothing they can do because they "didn't break it". read more

I used this company because it was preferred shop through the insurance of the lady that hit me. They called pretty quick after I talked with the insurance. Their call center called me and we set up the appointment. They said that they would contact the rental car and it would be ready when I got there. I also specifically asked if the car could be dropped off the day of the estimate. When I got there there was no rental car and they said I couldn't drop my car off. Eventually they said I could drop it off but I ended up coming back on a Saturday. The rental car was not there again because they didn't communicate that a car would come pick us up and bring us to Enterprise. ANYWAY... They fixed my bumper and the paint marks on my car! I haven't noticed any problems yet. They updated me in the status of the car and took care of everything. Jose was really nice! I would use this place through other peoples insurance but I am not sure if I would chose it as my preferred shop. read more

Rude counter help. Had estimate using the online application, the estimate included many costs that did not pertain to the four scratches that I wanted repaired, no dents, just very light scratches. So, I scheduled an in person estimate and was told by the counter help that I'd have to go with the online estimate and that if there was a price difference at the point of repair they would let me know after the fact. Stay far away from this place. We brought our truck in for repair. They matched the paint wrong and tried to tell us it was because the paint is oxidized. They later acknowledged they used the wrong paint and repainted it. The bed of the truck was crooked so they raised one side of the tailgate up to match where the damage is. My husband continued to tell them its crooked, they told him there is no way because the welds are not cracked. They told us the truck "looks" fine. We disagreed, took the truck home and found that the tailgate does not shut correctly and the welds are cracked. read more

Alfie and the team at Gerber did a great job!! With the coupon that was available, Gerber had the best prices. I chose Gerber since it was a USAA Star Facility and the proximity to my home. I went in on a Friday morning for a quote, and brought my car back around noon to start the repair. I was quoted 3 days to complete the repair, but Gerber beat their promised time by a full day. I am so happy with the fast and efficient service I received at this shop! I was able to meet with the insurance adjuster Jason, the shop manager Alfie and Roger from Enterprise within minutes of arriving to drop my car off. The shop stayed in touch during the repairs by texts and phone calls. The repair was perfect and I can hardly believe in addition to having no evidence of the damage, it was returned freshly washed and vacuumed!! Best shop I've EVER dealt with. They got me and my vehicle in for service quickly. The onsite Enterprise representative got me into a car that met my family's needs the same day and everyone was courteous and professional every time I interacted with them. The best part was that my car was due to be ready for pickup by September 19th and they called me today (the 7th) informing me that it was already completed! If I could rate this company lower than one star I would. They didn't order the part that was needed until I called back a week later to see why we hadn't received a call back to schedule appointment. They said they would call "twice a day with updates!", which obviously didn't happen because that's unreasonable to any normal person - and why would they need to call us twice a day anyway? They then caused more damage to the car by backing it into another car at their facility and they had to keep it longer to fix this new damage. They didn't return the rental car on time, even though they instructed us to leave it there and they would have it returned, and we were subsequently charged for being a week longer with the rental. So needless to say we are now having to report this to the insurance company so we can be reimbursed and them charged. Worst business and worst experience we have ever had with any type of car service. Front desk help not only unfriendly but the inside of the place is not well kept and looks unprofessional. read more

This place did a horrible job on our Jaguar. When we first picked it up, they tried to pass off a shoddy finish that looked rough and had that orange peel effect. The girl tried to pass it off by saying that's the way the manufacturer sent it with that color and finish. I refused to accept it so they kept it another week. The finish was better but they didn't feather the paint so now you can see the distinctive line on the doors. I'm so irritated about their lousy work that I am trading in the car because I can't stand to look at the imperfections now. read more
