I contacted Chapman after getting rear-ended on I-10 going south. I called 4 other Sprinter service shops in 3 different states and they were the ONLY place that got back to me right away. I live and travel in my van full-time, so this repair literally made me "home" less for about 2 weeks while repairs were being done. I stressed the importance of getting this done as fast as possible as it's extremely expensive staying in a motel. Alexis went above and beyond in this whole process and in dealing with my insurance. The two back doors to my Sprinter were repaired in 10 days flat. Had to be a record. She kept me informed almost every single day about the process so that I didn't book hotels out too far. I am so glad I went with them and the doors look brand new. They even painted the door that wasn't damaged so that both doors matched since one had newer paint. The job is beautiful and it looks brand new. They even washed my van and it was clean and ready to go when I picked it up. I am now back on the road. When I asked to speak to the manager after not getting anywhere with the estimator, the person on the phone laughed before transferring me. My younger sister had her vehicle towed here after a collision back in December or January. It's the END OF MAY and the vehicle is still not complete! The person handling my sisters repair told them and the other insurance company vehicle was read so they returned the rental vehicle and HAVE NOT HAD A VEHICLE FOR OVER TWO MONTHS! Overall the staff here are not concerned about customer satisfaction and to be honest not sure how they get paid when they tickets opened for so long. Their management duck and hide so it makes sense that their staff find it acceptable to not respond to phone calls/emails. Wish I could say good things but there is literally nothing good to say about it. read more

I have had the worst experience with this collision center! I have told about everyone I know not to go here! Don't waste your time, choose a different collision center! I have caught them in numerous lies, they ignore me for days on end and it's been two months going on three - and my car is still yet to be fixed! They will keep your car for a lot longer than needed because they are way too busy! Then they will lie and tell you they are working on things when in fact they are not! After picking up my car after repairs - I noticed that there was a chip in my paint that was not there originally. I showed them proof (see pictures). I also found that the sensors for cruise control we're also not fixed like originally asked. They offered to "make it right" (gave me a rental) After 18 days, they gave it a "clear inspection" and sent me on my way! I now live in a new state and while driving here noticed the sensors are in fact NOT FIXED. Now they are giving me trouble on trying to get it fixed here. THEY ARE THE WORST! read more

Vehicle took more than 7 months, for the initial repair. when returned the vehicle was not clean, there were material defects remaining, including paint and body work deficiencies. This included, non accident related scratches and burned seatbelt, while in their hands. The second time, the vehicle was mainly repaired and clean, but glass and tint deficiencies still being present. This is compounded, with nearly no communication, and numerous missed deadlines. even two months, after the second delivery, there are still incomplete repairs, as not above Although, the only true Honda repair facility, in Tucson, would strongly recommend taking your vehicle to another repair facility. read more

He was very thorough in explaining the estimate process and how long to get the parts and get repairs made. Thieves and incompetents, even by mechanic shops and car lots standards! I am calling my insurance company to get them to deal with this corrupt business. At first they told me my car was unsalvageable, when in reality I just had a damaged wheel well. When the geniuses realized they were probably looking at the wrong car, they gaslit me and acted like no one said such a thing. Their is a total lack of communication between these thieves. They charged me for services they completely neglected (i.e. shocks). They stole my hubcaps. They took my good tires off my car and replaced them with their cheapest tires. Also they took 2 months to get to my car. When I came to pick up my car, they aggressively pushed me out of the place, so that hopefully I wouldn't notice their malfeasance. This place stinks! I have used them a couple times to repair my vehicles and they don't get it right first time. I took my Acura in one time to repair a trunk dent, and I could still see the dent was not fixed properly. I had to point it out so they had to take two more days to repair it. I went to pick it up second time and again it was not fixed properly. Guess who had to point out the defect again..that's right me. So again two more days to wait. The third time the dent was finally fixed right but now the Acura chrome emblems were misaligned. Yup you guessed it I had to show them and it came down to me pulling out my ruler to prove it. Again add one more day for emblems. So my conclusion is they don't have a quality control inspector when the car is completed. read more

The receptionist was very sweet and extremely helpful. She was fast and efficient and answered all of my questions. The men who worked on my car did a remarkable job fixing my bumper! Getting my car fixed here has been a terrible experience. Since I use my car for work this has been the most expensive accident repair that was not my fault. Going into the 3rd week to replace a door, WTH. The worst part other than the loss of wages is that it is up to me to check on the status. Due to an unfortunate encounter with a piece of rebar and a parking block it was necessary to replace the bumper on my A5. I chose the dealer's collision center because I knew I wanted original parts and a top notch job. Although the location is quite inconvenient they are Audi-certified so to me it was a no-brainer. I'll admit that I expect perfection. This isn't rocket science. It's replacing a part. No dents to pull out or fill. It's the most basic of repair jobs. Unfortunately, they did not live up to my expectations. Customer service is average. Typically I had to call them as they weren't very good at keeping me informed. When I had a problem at pickup I was told someone would call me. They never did. I had to call them. I went in on a Saturday morning to pick up my car. Within 10 seconds of standing in front of my car I could see that the bumper was not fitted properly. If I could see it why didn't they? I know via conversations with the service rep that they were pushing it to get the car finished Friday night before quitting time. I'm pretty sure the conversation in the shop went something like this.... It's almost 5:00, you got that car done yet? Almost, but this dang bumper isn't fitting properly. Let me see. (pushing and shoving on the bumper) Well, it's quitting time. Button it up. Yeah, it's a chick that owns this car. She won't even notice. Let's just call it good enough. It's beer thirty. I was told at pick up that they couldn't do anything about it that day. I would need to bring it back. Finding time in my very busy work schedule to take the car back when they should have done it correctly in the first place almost ended in a 1 star review. At my insistence, they set up a specific time to fix it so I wouldn't have to leave it overnight or sit around there for hours. Fix-it day arrives....although there was a couple of areas of issues with the fit I only pointed out one when meeting with the service rep. I wanted to see if she would notice the others. She did. Once again I wonder, why would they even consider giving me the car knowing their work was sub par? In the end they stood behind their work and made it right. I appreciate that. Ultimately I asked myself: Will I go back (knock on wood-God forbid I ever need to)? I'd be willing to give them another try considering they are the only Audi-certified repair center in Tucson. I vacillated between them being 2 or 3 star worthy so I rounded up to 3. read more

No follow-up, managers have changed 3 times, promised return phone calls that do not get returned for updates, and estimated completion dates that are not accurate. I am still waiting for the promised return phone calls - I was informed my car would likely be completed this past Friday, Oct 29. No follow up. I called & was told, now likely the beginning of this week. It's the end of Tuesday, Nov 2, 2021 - I placed 2 phone calls and a VM message today with promised returned phone calls that did not happen. Estimated time given to repair rear end damage - 2-3 WEEKS. It actually took almost 3 Months!! With repeated excuses and delays. When the vehicle was eventually collected it had to be returned for further adjustments as the panels protecting the gas tank and exhaust had been incorrectly fitted, scraping the ground. I had a fender bender and took my vehicle in to have the bumper repaired. A man who introduced himself as the mechanic's supervisor came over to speak to me. I asked about having some other work done to fix some scratches, etc. I was promised an estimate and was told that they'd call me before the car was finished, and let me know so that I could decide whether to go ahead with the rest of the work. I never received that call. I only received a call to come get my vehicle. When the mechanic, Jesse, brought my car out, and I asked him for the estimate, he said he couldn't give me one other than between 2 and 3 thousand dollars, roughly. I asked why he couldn't give me a closer estimate and he said that something, "like a clip, could break" and that would change the whole estimate. I said, "So you're telling me you can't give me an estimate because a clip could break?" He replied that he might be fixing a something, have to take off a piece of my vehicle, and might find something broken inside, so then the estimate would change. While I'm aware that a clip can always break, and often they do, I'm also aware that if a repair shop actually wanted my business, they'd give me an estimate, as promised. I guess they aren't hungry for my business. I will never, ever go back there by choice. There are far too many great shops here in Tucson who honor what they say they'll do, like Thoroughbred or Gerber Collision, who both do awesome work. Pity. The job they did on the bumper was pretty good. Oh well. They don't want my business, and now, they don't have it. I'm considering purchasing a new car. Knowing this is how they treat customers, I won't go to any Chapman dealership. read more

I bought a new car from Chapman on 22nd street. The morning after I bought the car, someone backed into my car and left the scene. Needless to say, I was not happy. I called Chapman Collision Center. They were very polite and professional. Upon arriving to drop my vehicle off, I was greeted by Cecilia/Courtney (I had interaction with each of them, so I want to be sure to recognize both of them). They were both nice and started me on their required paperwork. I worked with Trevor. He was incredibly professional and polite as well. My car was completed a day early. When I walked back into their office to pick up my vehicle, I was again greeted by Cecilia and then came back into the office after picking up my car and met with Courtney, they were both very kind and made me feel like I was their only customer. Trevor greeted me and introduced me to Johnny, who brought my car out and did the final walk-around with me. There was one minor issue I pointed out. Johnny looked at it and agreed it needed to be addressed. He asked if I had the time to stick around so he could take it back right away and get it squared away. I did and he did. He brought the car back out to me and the issue was taken care of to my satisfaction. For the record, I am a VERY detail oriented person (maybe even a bit OCD, so if they met my expectation, I submit that the average person would have been completely satisfied with their service). This is for the Speedway location. I would give 6 stars if I could. Went way above and beyond expectations and service, and I am not an easy customer. Very professional and 2 paint booths. NO orange peel in the paint, perfect blend to the old paint, excellent body work on a fender that I thought would have needed to be replaced. Lines and seams were perfect. They were doing a 185k Porsche so these guys are even recommended for you 1%ers. I had them do some work outside of the insurance claim and they were very fair on pricing. I was transferred to a young woman who claimed to know absolutely nothing about why I was even calling. so she transferred me to her boss, who first told me he had to find his IT guy to help him look for the photos. Then he said he could not find his IT guy so would I please send him the photos again. Utter incompetence from start to finish. I will seek to have the repairs done elsewhere. read more

I have been putting off this review for a while, but get frustrated every time I'm in my car so decided to finally do it. I brought my vehicle in for an insurance claim after some terrible hail damage all over the vehicle. I was told that many of the panels need to be replaced and they had the car for a little over a month. I was really excited to have it back. Right when I got home and got out of the car there were two large spots on the seat that looked like some kind of adhesive. I thought okay, I'll give them a call and see what can be done. Then I'm doing another walk around the vehicle with my husband and see a huge gouge on the front fender. It was obviously done as they were putting the pieces back together on the car. I called and left a message since they were closed for the day. I was called back and they asked if I did the damage to the vehicle...um nope. I haven't had it for over a month and all I did was bring it home. Then they agreed to have me bring it back in. I brought it back in and it took another few days for them to do the work. When I looked at the seat it looked way worse. The fabric is all torn up now from them trying to get the adhesive off and it looks terrible. Also can still clearly see the scratch on my fender. I haven't called them back because I had some deaths in the family and got married. It wasn't something I looked forward to dealing with. Also because I hate the work the did and I fear it will be worse. The dents were repaired but now I have other issues to worry about that I didn't even cause. At this point I wish the car was just totaled so I didn't have to deal with the damage that was caused by the shop. On top of the damage that was done everything was put back together so haste-fully that clips broke and panels inside aren't quite secured correctly. The insert to a handle on the hatch of the vehicle was broken and they just left it inside the back and didn't say anything about it. I just wanted to warn everyone. I wish I had taken my vehicle to the dealership instead of taking it here I just thought it would consolidate the process. I can add photos later. read more

Chapman is one of the approved repair shops for my insurance company, so I've been there 3 times now: dented bumper after being rear-ended, busted side mirror after pulling out too close to the side of the garage (oops), and a piece of trunk molding connected to the trunk release falling completely off. Each time, the check-in process has been fairly painless, and with the Enterprise rent-a-car office next door, I've been able to get my service loaner quickly. While I often went a few days without a status update, I was able to call, leave a message, and get an update quickly. The techs have also been cost-conscious when the repair is lower than my deductible. When I needed a new mirror, they offered to order a used one and repaint it to match my car, which saved me a fair bit of money. Plus, they buffed out the scratches caused by the loose chunk of mirror housing dangling around while I drove, and my car has have a thorough scrub and vacuum every time. Overall, I've had good experiences at Chapman and will probably take my car there in the unfortunate event that I have future issues. read more

so i was out and about earlier today and you'd never guess what happened! i was reversing my car out of a parking stall and to my surprise, the parking block ripped the front bumper off my car. thankfully my husband came to the rescue and we didn't have to end up towing my car to the collision center that my insurance directed us to. once we got here, they took a look and gave us a quick quote. i didn't want to have to pay my $500 deductible (it wasn't going to cost that much anyway) so they gave us a couple of tabs to secure the bumper back onto the car. i was grateful that the person from the insurance company and chapman collision center were honest and up front with me. they installed the tabs (free of charge) and sent us on our way. will definitely recommend this place/come back if i ever need to in the future. thanks for saving the day, guys!! read more

Outstanding customer service! This is a reliable, quality auto body shop. You'll be hard pressed to find the same level of expertise anywhere else that both Chapman Collision Center on Palo Verde and the Collision Center on Speedway provide. Unfortunately my husband and I have both our cars worked on at both locations and both collisions did a great job on the repairs. They truly go above and beyond to make sure that you are well taken care off, and that you understand the estimate and repairs being done to your vehicle.
