I wanted to go with the permanent fix, and Vince is certified by the company that makes and guarantees it. Quality work and quick! Great hours for Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM workers who need to drop off/pick up their car before or after work! The button to raise and lower my driver side window snapped and broke. When initially writing up the quote they were going to charge for an electronic diagnosis. I plead my case for avoiding the electronic diagnosis charge and probably sounded like the "I knooooow this is what is wrong with my car...," client (which I'm sure can be annoying for mechanics), but they were so nice and heard me out. After Vince was called over to take a look, he agreed it was the lever that was broken and we avoided the extra charge. It seems like no big deal, but not many German car shops would do that and especially NOT a dealership. The whole switch panel on the driver door had to be replaced and thank the parts gods, it was in stock and I got my car back the same day. I'm just happy after moving to Oceanside, I have found another trusted mechanic so I can stop driving all the way back to OC to my beloved long time mechanic who I was missing. read more

I called one BMW shop I had been to before and for whatever reason hooking BMW up to their computer they could not fix problem. I called German Autowerke and spoke to Paige to made an appointment for first Tuesday in August 2023. After about 2 hours my cold air was working, inside air and engine filter replaced along with an oil change and oil filter and inspection for possible other problems Next week have appointment for brake fluid and soon brake pads. So I was having some issues with my alarm going off at all times of the night. Like most 530i's I was also having some serious issues with the damn alarm! I recently moved back to Oceanside and was looking for a low cost mechanic to take a look and see what's going on. I checked out a few reviews and decided to check this place out. I had a enough of the alarm going off at 3am and possibly having my neighbors complaining. So I drop off my car and tell them to just disable the alarm because I'm sick of it. Long story short they took a look at it and then disconnected it. Yes it cost 200 but the alarm is not going off anymore. So will I use Hanz again? Yeah most likely because some other European car mechanics in the area are really expensive!!!! Yes Hanz doesn't give you a rental car, doesn't wash your car and doesn't have any chocolate chip cookies but his prices are very fair and his work is good.
