B1 Service came up on my 2017 Mercedes GL-450. I had gotten my A service here, which was a great price (no air filter) at $130. B1 service came out to $615. This included an oil change, brake fluid flush and new air filter. I'm not sure how much cheaper this is from the Mercedes dealership but I'll assume they are much higher. Staff was great. No loaner cars - maybe the only drawback to not using a dealership but I live close so no biggie. read more

I came into the office and asked the two people at the front deak if they work on mini's they said "yes they do" I said I have my 2012 cooper s n18 r56 they asked what's going on i told them a small list of little things I'm noticing trying to get a diagnosis on these little issues to do prevenative maintenance. and they told me its going to need a new engine without even taking a look at the car.... I have no check engine lights what so ever I'm not getting loss of power or boost not loosing oil no leaks there's some small noises I'm trying to narrow down. There were other little issues I wanted fixed that weren't engine related. They told me take it to a dealership that it needs a new engine that they saw another mini recently and it was low on oil... not every car is the same or has the same issues. You're company name is European autoworks. Mini is a euro car... Its obvious they didnt want my business. probably because they Dont want to diagnose and fix they only want to replace so you can pay for labor. If you want lazy customer service take your car here. other wise go to b&d auto repair across the street where they will always try to resolve your issues and are willing to always take a look at any Car you bring. read more

Walked in to see if they could work on my daughters 2010 Volkswagen bug. Simple job to just put the passenger door back together and check the speaker that's not working and the receptionist said flat out we can't help you Chris wont let me take that in. if you've already touched your car. wouldn't take the time to look at it after I asked again. I guess business must be booming. If they're turning away work or they don't even have the time to give me five minutes to maybe suggest an alternative. Horrible customer service. It's a pity because I had other work to be done on the Volkswagen as well like a power steering flush, transmission service, a tune up as well. They will not be getting my business or any of my family anytime soon and I just live down the road. you know the saying, take care of a customer get five referrals. I started bringing my 911 Turbo S to Chris a couple years ago when the warranty expired. They have been doing the regular service interval work and bring anything to my attention that is needed. Recently a window switch and A/C blower motor went bad. My dumb a** thought I could watch a couple you-tube videos and do it myself. Boy was I fooling myself. When I called Chris and told him my mistake, he was more than generous to tell me of course he would help me out. I cannot thank them enough. The work is technically proficient, always at a very reasonable cost and I am more than happy to compensate them for their expertise. I picked up my car the same day (which probably would have taken me a week to figure out, get the right tools, find parts, read over and over to makes sure, and on and on.) These guys did a great job on a tough repair for my AUDI SQ5 and came in under the estimated cost and on the day they said it would be done. What else do you need? They offered a list of work that could / should be done and then worked with me to identify what needs to be done. I thought these were nice guys and I do believe they were honest about what they could do and what the 'right repair' was, but here is my experience for the doit DIY folks out there: BMW 2004 CIC with front right light out. Took it in and for $65 was told the wiring in the assembly looked chewed up and it would cost $2500 for a new assembly installed. Fair enough. Brought it home, had the assembly out in 5 minutes, popped the access cover for the halogen lamp and wires looked pretty bad. Found a youtube video showing a guy with the exact same issue on an E46. Replaced parts of 3 wires and put it back together, works great even turned off the lamp warning dash light. Total time 30 minutes, material cost 0. No doubt had I taken it to a dealer they would have probably wanted to replace the entire assembly also. read more

I just picked up my Mercedes from being repaired as scheduled. Work performed was the Oil Level Sensor- Oil Sender, Oil Filter Kit Drain Plug Gasket, Sealant, Degreaser, Synthetic Oil. A total of $701.36. I noticed my car was not the same after arriving back home in Carlsbad. I called European Autoworks Chris, the owner answered. He was defensive and not accepting responsibility for the fact that my car was not running normal after having it repaired by his shop. I told him it was clearly from the work they had just done because the car felt night and day. He literally laughed in my face and said it's a 20yr old car and it's probably my transmission slipping. The temperature gage went between 80 and 120, it has NEVER had this problem before. In all the years I have properly maintained my Mercedes Benz I had never seen the oil gage higher than at the center where it should be or less. The red light came on with an explanation point- another item on my dashboard I had never seen lit. I called back Chris and he pushed back saying it was not his responsibility to fix new problems with my car. I told him I had just picked up my car a few hours ago at his shop after paying $700.00 for an oil level sensor! Clearly these were related! Talk about denial and not taking responsibility!! Lastly I want to say he tried to push me back till NEXT Tuesday before he could "look over" his work. Five entire days! I am a Realtor and count on my car daily. I really had to demand he view it first thing in the morning. In closing I'd like to say everyone deserves a second chance and I am willing to give Chris/European Autoworks a chance to make things fair.
