This job required extensive engine valley work, and I looked up the parts they didn't overmark anything they did an awesome job and so quick but great! Started noticing that every time we had something done (even an oil change) there ended up being something else (usually expensive) needed shortly there after. Ask for an evaluation for an issue, charged for evaluation and issue worsens? Final straw, after an oil change, oil leaking and causing major repairs ($1000+) needed to be done. And then issue not even resolved? Bad gasket? I think not. Bad practices? I think so. Don't be tempted by the coupons. Not to be trusted. We have learned our lesson. It was expensive. The person I spoke with on the phone specifically stated that checking the fuel injector would be the next step in the diagnostic process--not that it had already been confirmed as the problem. That directly contradicts what you stated in your response. You also stated that repair shops do not keep replaced parts to show customers. That has not been my experience. Every dealership and independent repair shop that has worked on my vehicles has either offered to show me the replaced parts or kept them available until I picked up the vehicle. It is a common practice for shops that value transparency with their customers. At this point, my concern is not just the repair itself but the inconsistent explanations and lack of accountability throughout this process. He stated that he didn't appreciate my insinuating his business did something wrong and that I needed to leave! I said to him I understood what he was saying but I didn't appreciate his delivery and his business may not have a successful future if he speaks to customers in this manner. He became indignant and stated "he didn't need my business and that he had several successful businesses and as the owner he could do and say anything he wants to and there's the door you can leave !" I want Alex to know that my business/$1600 may not mean anything to him but it was a huge sacrifice for me to pay and if future customers are treated in such a way, those dollars or lack of dollars add up and customer retention can make or break a business. So now I am out of lots of money and still can't see to drive after dark because of an electrical issue causing my headlight bulbs to blow out has not been fixed.
