My work location is changing, I will miss my weekly German lunches.

Ya'll know I love this place. Food is so yummy, huge portions and great prices. Service is too notch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Grab a table outside or inside for the cute German feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have been voted as st. Pete's best. So don't miss out!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a small indoor and an outdoor space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is limited. But the food is tasty. I enjoyed the spaetzle though I believe the gravy would be better with a touch of sour cream. As it it was a one-note flavor. But still a good little bowl Of comfort food. The sausage, potato salad and sauerkraut were tasty. Enjoyed the side salad which was well dressed and beautifully presented. The service was kind and prompt. I would return when I'm craving comfort food.

I'm usually not a fan of German food but i love trying anything different. That's what life is all about. Try the BRLO cider classic apple wine. It was extremely refreshing! FYI parking is impossible. But if you're willing to pay you can find space on a side street. I would recommend having dinner here. Good food and good service.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is super excellent and friendly. Totally love this place for its vegetarian and vegan options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great location to sit outside and people watch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is excellent and reminds me of being back in Germany.

Authentic and delicious! If you're craving real German food, this place delivers. It's no-frills in the best way--focused on flavor, not flash--and the staff couldn't have been nicer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great location downtown but super casual, no need to dress up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been on the hunt for a solid Jäger schnitzel ever since visiting Switzerland last year, and this totally hit the spot. Rich, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. Can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu!

The owner of this restaurant is so nice. We loved the food, my sister-in-law is Vegan and they had a Vegan sausage in curry sauce. I had spetzle which was delicious and my husband had the vealwurst with potato salad and the best fries I have had in a long time. I can't wait to come back here to eat again.

We let Yelp pick this place for us. I honestly had no idea it existed, but I'm glad i know it does, now! We drove from Tarpon Springs to St. Pete, and got Princess Parking right in front of the eatery. As the weather was beautiful, we opted to sit outside, and the waiter was wonderful, he made sure to get our drinks, i got a can of coke and my friend got a dark german beer. Both were good. We ordered off the menu, i ordered the Vienna Schnitzel, pork with their Best of the Bay fries my friend got 2 different kinds of sausage, some fries and sauerkraut. The food didnt take long to cook and was delivered piping hot. The fries? They live up to the best of the bay. They are delicious and crispy with a hint of garlic. Absolutely amazing. My schnitzel was a huge serving and I ended up taking 1/2 home. My Friends platter was large, the sausages were served with a good ground mustard, and we got curry sauce, which turned out to be delightful! This place is a hit! When in St.Pete, I'd find this place again. My belly was very happy!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a comfortable afternoon so the front patio was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was courteous and prompt. They have a selection of German beers. The menu is quite small--several kinds of sausages, 3 varieties of schnitzel, and just a few salads & sides. I got the knockwurst and bratwurst with potato salad & sauerkraut--all delicious. The Vienna schnitzel was crispy and came with a lemon wedge. The French fries are the best--coated and so crispy.

    Curry schnitzel

We love this place. The curry sauce is so good and they have the best French fries in st Pete. Also great German beer you can't get anywhere else.

    Beignets

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Who would have thought they would have the most amazing beignets?? I seriously can't say I've had any better. Made fresh and with enough powdered sugar!

The veal was incredibly tender, and the gravy was packed with flavor. It was a satisfying entrée that came with two sides. For my sides, I chose the pierogies and spätzle. The pierogies were honestly my favorite part of the meal. They were fluffy, cheesy, and generously filled. So delicious. I could have eaten a whole plate of just those. The spätzle was soft and well prepared, but compared to everything else, I found it a little boring. The restaurant itself is very cute and has a lot of character. I loved browsing the selection of German snacks, candy, and other imported items available for purchase. It added to the overall experience and made the place feel unique. While I'm not that familiar with German food, I thought this was a pretty good restaurant. Overall, I found German cuisine a little more muted than what I'm personally used to, but I still really enjoyed the meal and the experience. I'd be interested in trying more of the menu.

I had such high hopes for this place. :( The selection is very limited and perhaps I missed something (entirely possible), but I did not see a price list for the deli case. We did find a unique assortment of other German products- some we haven't seen in many years. The restaurant portion was quite busy and the customers looked happy. We were flooded with nostalgia and left in hopes of dining in on a less-busy day. I ordered two meats, including the German bologna. During the drive home, my family and I noticed a terrible odor-- the kind where we started pointing fingers at one another. We never suspected that the package from the deli was the source. When we opened it at home, a nauseatingly funky, ammonia-type smell came from the German bologna. While the liverwurst smelled okay, I could not trust it after the bologna and decided against keeping it. Wasted time and money. Dang! The staff is super nice and that was truly a plus. However, I doubt we will be back. My family is very bummed over this.

The decor did make us feel like we were somewhere in Germany. My partner ordered a beer and we looked over the menu. I decided on the chicken schnitzel and Spatzle. Unfortunately our waiter said they were out of Spatzle. He told us they were out of all sides besides potatoe salad and french fries. My partner attempted to order the pork spatzle and was told they were out of it along with a few other dishes. This was disappointing, we wished our waiter had told us this when we sat down instead of after deciding. Our food was delicious, and if I lived in town I would definitely be back. I recommend not taking the last reservation time to avoid them selling out of many things. Our waiter told us this happens on most weekends.

Upon walking in, the impression is very authentic German. We were seated promptly although waitress thought we were with a party of 6 and it was just my husband & I. Seated us and we ordered drinks and shortly thereafter we ordered the food. It arrived quickly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience did not meet our expectations. The potato pancakes lacked flavor and were quite bland. The Wiener schnitzel was especially disappointing -- the veal was very difficult to cut, and the breading fell off almost immediately, causing the dish to fall apart. It did not feel like an authentic German preparation. The rouladen was just ok, lacking flavor also. We were quite surprised, particularly since the owner is from Berlin. It seemed clear that the owner is not the chef or directly involved in the kitchen. My husband is from Germany so we know what authentic German food is. On a positive note, the music was authentic and added a nice touch to the atmosphere, which we did enjoy.
