We arrived on a Saturday evening and the wait was extremely long so I would recommend having reservations (we did not), at least on the weekends maybe! I tasted a variety of dishes including the mixed plate (sausages), Wiener schnitzel, German potato soup, and purple cabbage. Although these flavor combos are new to me, they were an interesting, slightly vinegary, and tasty mix. I was happy to experience a new culture and I may be back one day.

The interior brings a lot of charm and nostalgia into a city overtaken by high rises and concrete. We showed up as a party of 6 on a Saturday at 4pm. The main room quickly filled up and FIFA -- France vs. England was on the television. I started out with an Erdinger Wiessbrau while delving further into the menu. They started us out with bread and butter. I went with the German potato soup and Spiessbraten -- pork shoulder stuffed with ground meat, bell peppers, gravy, and dumplings. Others went with the goulash and the Munich lamb shank. I preferred the Goulash out of the various plates. The lamb shank was MASSIVE. That can easily be split by two. We finished off with apple strudel, espresso, and a delicious Irish crème coffee cocktail. This was a great time out with drinks, soccer, delicious German eats, and a warm staff.

We had no wait and were seated promptly. Our waiter, Johnny, was wonderful--friendly, knowledgeable, and with recommendations. He kept my tea and lemonade refilled without me ever having to ask. We all ordered schnitzel, each with a different pairing: fries, an arugula and goat cheese salad, or a Caesar salad. One friend also had a bowl of mushroom and Brie soup, and another ordered a side Caesar. Everything was fantastic. The salads were fresh and flavorful, and the schnitzel was excellent. The mushroom gravy that came with the schnitzel had a subtle wine flavor--so good that I already know I'll be ordering it again next time.

Unfortunately, the location is hidden deep within a popular strip mall but once found you will feel pleasantly transported to another Country. The only decor missing are animal (deer or moose) wall effigies. There is a wide selection of bavarian apps and entrees available. I ordered their huge pretzel which was excellent. However, my group mainly came to drink and party late night. Our boomerang shows the wide variety of liquids available each prepared and served in style. When I return (soon), I'll make sure to be ready to order and taste main entrees then follow up with a detailed food review.

Oh. My. Goodness! Let me start this review by saying that I spent a semester in Berlin. So my test…read morefor a good German restaurant is if a: they have curry ketchup; and b: they sprinkle curry powder on their fries. This restaurant met one out of two requirements which is an automatic pass! I did a random search on Uber Eats for "schnitzel" and not expecting anything to pop up (other than that really expensive place in the Gables), I was surprised that I stumbled upon Epic Eats. And it was very close to me! Their menu looked tasty- a modern twist on German classics. I gave myself a high-five when I saw you could also order curry ketchup. . . By the bottle! I ordered a Bavarian burger and it was delicious! The pretzel bun was le yum, the egg was cooked perfectly, and the veggies were so, so, fresh. The food arrived nicely packaged. I also ordered a lemonade CBD infused drink. I'm so glad I came across this place, but I'm disappointed I wasn't the first to review :(. I can't wait to try other items on the menu. To the owners: thank you for the good German food. You are a unicorn in a field of horses, especially in Miami. Please consider curry powder for the fries, and if you ever made a spaetzel (sp?) side, I would order and eat ALL of it. I will spread the love to all my foodie friends. Once this quarantine is over, I look forward to stopping by! Prost! *please note this review does not include a picture because I devoured ALL of it.

Even though it is a freestanding restaurant, I am told that it can be difficult to find a spot. The venue offers live music on weekend evenings, but we finished eating before it began and were too tired to stay. The restaurant oozes the Irish pub decor and theme. Our waiter, Jordan, was exceptionally friendly and jovial. And he was a master at suggesting alcoholic beverages, once you let him know your likes. We had 2 orders of Irish potato soup, 2 Shepherd's pies with cheddar cheese, 2 orders of the Guinness beef and mushroom pie, 1 cabbage rolls, and one fish and chips. The soup was filled with bacon bits and creamy and luscious. The Guinness pot pies were a bit small, especially because they were so savory. The accompanying mashed potatoes did not come with gravy and there wasn't enough from the pot pies to cover it. The veggies that came with all the entrees were freshly made and without any seasoning. (But it is better to add salt and pepper than to try and remove it.) The fish was a decent size serving, but again, no real seasoning. Nothing that some salt, pepper, and malt vinegar couldn't rectify. The coating was light and crispy. Our alcoholic beverages (Guinness, wine, and a couple of specialty cocktails) were thirst quenching and satisfying. (I loved my prickly pear margarita.) Dinner for 6, including 2 soups, 6 entrees, 8 drinks, tax, and tip was $300.
