I have been bringing my Mercedes-Benz here for a little over 5 years. The customer service is always great and I appreciate that Biz is always a straightforward and prperson. He will let you know what the issue is, estimate the cost as well as let you know if in his opinion the repair is worth it compared to the vehicle age, wear and tear, etc.. "Was" a new customer who brought my wife Mercedes to German Service Center, at first these guys were very polite dropped the car off early morning. But once they got my keys the tone then changed, they began saying they weren't pressed for business they have been in business for such amount of time all from me asking a question about how much the diagnosis fee was! That was my first clue. All in all Biz said don't waste your time the car is 15 yrs old then charged me $65. Thanks Biz my regular guy fixed the noise it was the tensioner on the rat control arm $230 solved the problem . read more

Remember that episode of Seinfeld where the mechanic (David putty) cared so much about jerry's car that he couldn't part ways with it? He ended up stealing the car when jerry said he was gonna take his car elsewhere... Well let me say this- German service center cares about your car just as much, but they don't steal your car and you won't want to take it elsewhere. Bring your Mercedes here. The owners and staff care about your car and is genuine unlike so many auto body and mechanic shops out there. They are honest and always do the most amazing and efficient work. They are quick but cut no corners, do the best job but don't cost an arm and a leg, and are the most trusted Mercedes shop in my opinion. The staff is always sure to inform you of everything- from , what work needs done before they do it, what work doesn't need done that another shop had previously told you to get done, and on top of that they'll tell you why you don't need it done so that anyone can understand it. Professional service with a smile! I can't iterate this enough - you catch more flies with honey. Biz & his staff were very informative, provided a timely service; and, most importantly, were honest. They've just gained a client for life - because of INTEGRITY. Unlike another company, they did not cause an unsettling feeling in my stomach when they quoted the price for the body work. This business was recommended by my barber who drives a VERY nice high end Mercedes.I tool my CLK coupe there. This family owned business is one of a kind in the DMV. Today is my 3rd visit in about a year. Everyone there is very nice, courteous and professional. On this trip, I dropped my car this morning because of something I perceived to be a major problem. Received a call from Service Adviser. He gave me details on what what going on and told me not to be concern unless the problem is recurring. So often business as such will up-sell just because they know the average customer don't have a clue. The Service Adviser was great explaining in details the problem. This is not some hole in the wall business with shade-tree mechanics. They are better than the the 3 local Mercedes dealers in the Washington area. VERY professional and hands on. The driver's side low beam on my 2010 Mercedes E550 went out a couple of weeks ago and when it happened, I knew I could have replaced it myself, but the job requires lifting the front of the car and removing the wheel well shield in order to access the bulb and I didn't want to go through the process of jacking the car up in my cold garage. So I called over to the German Service Center to see how much it would cost to change the bulb. When I spoke to the lady who answered the phone, she asked me to hold while she went to the garage to ask the mechanics and when she got back on the phone, she told told me that I needed to bring the car to the shop in order for them to give me an estimate because they didn't know if they needed to take the bumper off in order to change the light bulb. I initially thought this was odd because I did a search on YouTube before calling to see what the repair entailed for my specific vehicle so I knew that the bumper did not need to come off in order to replace the light so I made an appointment to take my car in. When I got to the shop, I asked the older gentleman, who I believe owns the place, what it would cost to replace the lightbulb and he said that I had "expensive tastes that I can't afford" then he asked me what year my car was. At that point I was pretty annoyed but I didn't respond because I wanted to know what the price for the labor was. So I asked him how much it would cost if I already purchased the bulbs for the car then he asked me which bulbs I purchased and told him I purchased the H7 bulbs and then he told me that they were the wrong bulbs. Not an issue, because I could go and order the correct bulbs online and get them delivered in one or two days. I then again asked how much would it cost to replace the bulb and he he said, "have you brought your car here before?" I said yes and the he said, "I can't believe you are one of our customers... asking how much something costs" and he seemed to get agitated by my asking and at that point and then told me that it would cost $85 to replace one bulb. I was pretty exasperated with him and the comments he was making because they were totally unprofessional and absolutely uncalled for. He had one of his drivers pull my car into the garage and they informed me that I had HID bulbs in the car. I asked him how much it would cost to replace the HID bulbs and he told me it would be $300 to replace one bulb. He went on to say how expensive they bulbs were and that was why it costs so much. So I jumped on Amazon and looked up the bulb using the exact same manufacturer and part number and found that I could get two bulbs for about $100. I didn't tell him that I found the bulbs for a cheaper price, so without provocation, he informed me that if I went and bought the bulbs somewhere else and brought them back to him to install them, he would install them but there would be no warranty on the labor or the parts. Which is pretty common practice. He had the technician close the hood of my car and then backed my car out and I said thanks and left. When I drove off, I started to go back inside and have one of the ladies up stairs pull the records for all of the work that had been done on my car at the shop since I bought it so that I could show him all details of the more than $10K worth of work that had been done on my car by his shop since he found it so hard to believe that I was a customer. Very impressed. Came here with my baby (1998 e320). It was in desperate need of some tlc. Jimmy immediately took a notice to some minor injuries that needed repair. I could tell he has a passion for the cars. His son let me know they would take a look at the car and call me with the quotes. He did exactly what he said and they were very honest about what needed to be done and the prices. The was no trying to sell me up or force me. When I came back he talked to me in depth about the car and how we could maintain it. five plus stars, excellent customer service and fair pricing. Great spot. Update 6/2016 Since my original post I still take my car to Jimmy and Biz. They are awesome and with a nearly 20yr old Benz it's needed. Biz is always honest with what to expect and my pricing. I came in after driving from Florida as I was concerned I might have a loose fan belt. I was directed to the technician who was able to get my car looked at ASAP as I was driving back to Florida in 2 days..He troubled shooter what was wrong and was very thorough in explaining all my options for repairs and wanted to make sure my Mercedes would make the trip back. The ladies in the office staff were very helpful and friendly .This seemed like a very well run family business. I would highly recommend using this repair shop as I know a great deal about engines and never for a second felt like I was being told something that wasn't correct . I wish German Auto Center had a branch in Florida. Thank you again for getting me in and fixing my idle pulley and putting a new belt on and pointing out things I should keep an eye out for in the future. read more

I am just coming out of this shop and I totally regret all of it. I sent my car in to have the grille and a head lamp bezel composite changed. They changed the grille, the head lamp but did not change the bezel, claiming that there was no replacement bezel and later that the one I brought was not painted when in reality they had almost disposed of the item but I insisted I needed to see the box that had my items. Behold my brand new painted bezel in the box about to be "disposed". An apology was offered and I was asked to bring the car in early the following morning for them to right their wrong and that I should go up to pay and all this I did trusting the Head Technician who is tall. Upon righting their wrong, the Tall technician claimed I had to pay again. They threatened to hold back my car. I paid and went away after expressing my feelings to them. Here I warn all who patronize this Center, BEWARE,. KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN. THEY USUALLY WILL NOT WRITE WHAT THEY WILL DO OR WHAT YOU ASK THEM TO DO. This might be the reason; to get more money off you unjustly. read more

I have a very old Mercedes - decided to go to GSC after my old mechanic showed less and less interest in diagnosing and fixing problems. I brought my car in to get the brake pads replaced -this was done very quickly. In addition, Jimmy wouldn't let me leave until he'd fixed my windshield wiper (that I'd been putting off) and he diagnosed and fixed for free a small issue that solved two problems that I just didn't want to deal with: clunky gear shifting and poor A/C performance. Great service, efficient, and well done. And he's been in business so long that he had an original MB part that is no longer produced by MB. I would highly recommend GSC if you have an old Mercedes. read more

I have been having my getting my Mercedes services/repaired/anything you can think of, here for ages and I have so say I feel SO spoiled and blessed because I have never had such a pleasant experience at any other service center or auto center in my life. They always provide quick, honest service, never try to up charge/up sell you and try and work with you to make sure all of your needs are taken care of. Biz and his team have always brought my car back to be in perfect condition, and always are super patient as they explain issues with the car and their recommendations on what should be done, or what can be held off on. Even pondering budget issues they are able to lay out what to prioritize. Incredibly professional, and well priced. I cannot imagine going anywhere else. I recommend everyone go here. read more

Been going to this place for years. Always good customer service.But today 4/16/2014 wanted my car to checked for a trip to Florida, the owner noticed i had new brake rotors and said he was losing money and very busy and could not check my car, because i did not get my brakes changed at his shop. Had a bad experience. Took car in for B service. Asked them to check my blower fan, which was working when I arrived. Was told it needed to be replaced at $1040. I declined. When I arrived to pick up my car, the fan would not work at all! I said it worked when I dropped it off... Immediately left there and went to Ballards Foreign Car. They checked the fan, said it had been disconnected. They reconnected it at no charge. Lesson learned. I will get my diagnostics at the dealer. Watch your back. These folks shade under a money tree. read more

I am VERY impressed with the service at the German Service Center. Mr Jimmy and his ENTIRE staff (mechanics and front office) were very professional, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. This was my first visit to GSC after a recommendation from a colleague. From the time my car was unloaded from the tow truck the mechanics started working on my vehicle (replacing my alternator). I thought they were going to have my car for a few days, but was told that my car would be finish TODAY. I wanted to cry tears of joy, because at my OLD auto shop would keep my car for days (due to ordering parts). They finished my car in a timely manner, they also checked all my fluids, my tire pressures and did a complete diagnosis of my vehicle. Mr Jimmy spoke with me regarding some minor issues that needed to be repaired. I could really tell that he is very passion about cars and he made me feel that he really cared about my vehicle. Any one today who doesn't do due diligence and check prices is an idiot and so to avoid that status, I called around to price out two routine tasks; replace both batteries and figure out how to get into my trunk. The cold snap drained my batteries and the locking mechanism wouldn't open (even with the flat-bladed key). I figured any shop that specializes in MB should be able to handle the task but I always check yelp before I dial. If you have 4 plus stars, you can be included. Anyway, I'm calling around and dial the German Service Center number and mistakenly ask for the wrong shop (I confess I got distracted). When they answer, I realize my mistake and tell them I called the wrong number. I call back later and the wife of the owner gets an attitude....HUGE. Starts out pissed off because I dared to call another shop. I tell her everyone prices jobs today. Well I have to pry the prices for the batteries out of her and then she tells me to schedule the tow for tomorrow. I ask what the shop rates and she goes off on me. Tells me to just cancel the tow and take my car to whatever shop I called earlier. You never know what anyone at anytime is going through so I hope the lady is okay but I'm not ever calling this shop again. read more
