He was very helpful and actually had someone drive to my house five minutes away and pushed in the liner so I can drive the car to his place. He was able to order the part and the fender liner and replaced it promptly when I was able to go in on my day off work. If you're in an accident, don't go here. They play games and will tell you that your car is not totaled so they can get more money. And will order parts before talking to your insurance company and then will not let your car out until your insurance company will cut a deal. Which totally slowed down my process With my accident and getting this all settled. My car was there a month when really it was actually totaled. Make sure you stay on top of everything because they will take advantage and once your car is in there, they charge day by day. Proceed with caution... (TL;DR - quoted $2.1K for a $40 small adjustment fix) I had some loud scary sounds coming from my car and didn't feel safe driving it into work so I decided to carefully drive to the nearest Euro Shop down the road. Upon entering, it was very chaotic, no real parking instructions or anything. Immediately you see how unorganized and messy the shop is. I get in talk with a mechanic, Sam. I told him about the problems I've been having and tell him to take it for a spin so he can hear the noises and feel the car. We get back from the trip and he starts jacking the car up and looking for the problems. After inspection he tells me he's found some problems. What I was told I needed: Rack and Pinion ($650), Lower controller bush w/ bearing ($195x2), Shocks ($220x2), and shock tower ($40x2), Labor ($650). About ~$2.1k total I knew half of the was questionable, but I thought some might need to be fixed, so I call up my mechanic and have him take a look at everything. He jacks it up, and finds that the tires lugs are a bit loose, so he tightens them up and makes small adjustments....FIXED. $40 to fix what was quoted as a needed $2.1K fix. If you are made of money, I'm sure these guys do a fine job on cars, but from an honesty perspective, I'm disgusted at what they tried to pull on me. I asked many questions about the severity of this fix, but they continued to say that these parts need to be fixed to remedy the problem. I would proceed with extreme caution, the whole process didn't feel comfortable and the communication wasn't clear. I would like my $50 inspection fee waived after this ordeal. read more

had a great experience today. My air conditioner was making a loud noise so I called in to get a quote. It's difficult to get a quote on something like this because there are so many variables (I was told the same from other shops) the difference was, instead of being told what they can't do, I was told what they CAN do. Bring it in and we'll look at it free of charge. Turns out it was being rubbed on by some plastic undercarriage. They fixed it immediately, and the cost? Just a handshake!! This was my experience. I called - I live literally around the corner - the Receptionist was far far far far from being polite. Not only that I specifically said I had a vintage Mercedes Roadster. As well as a 2016 Subaru STI that needed some bumper insurance repair as well as new tires and brake pads. SHE LITERALLY SAID WE WORK ONLY ON GERMAN CARS. After a huge accident with my brand new bmw I had my car towed to a bmw authorized body shop recommended by dealer and after two days they called me and said they can't match the paint because my car is a Matt color, so I called around and found German Tek body shop and they said they can take care if it. After my review they addressed all my concerns. I would have liked everything to go smoothly from the beginning but I guess life happens sometimes. I do question some of their vendors for they failed to do a good job with my car but I guess that is beyond German Tek's control. Update: I went back to Germantek after needing to get another issue fixed on my car and had a positive experience. They did the work well and in a timely manner at a competitive price. Everyone I interacted with was kind and kept me posted on the work that was happening on my car. Finding a trustworthy place to get your car worked on can be hard especially if you are like me with limited knowledge on car things. At this point I probably wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Alan at German Tek is the bomb! The only reason German Tek is getting a 5 is because we don't have the option to add in anymore Stars. I went here to get a friends front end fixed on her BMW 5 Series and to be quick and brief: It was cheaper than we expected (and it was suppose to be), he pulled some strings to get us a good rate on a Rental and the Car was completed faster than the original estimate (Oh yeah, and the car looked like brand new when she got the car back). Additionally, I made all the arrangements for my friend up front and admittedly they had every opportunity to "Bump up" the cost with extra charges on her when she picked up her car (since she wasn't there when we were discussing the arrangements).
