    Lava/birthday cake
    Dann S.

My wife visited for her birthday dinner after enjoying their to-go location in Chalfont. Our expectations were based on Don Hectors, and Geronimo's lived up to our expectations. It' starts with the staff who were so attentive and informative. They knew the menu and helped us make great choices. The ambience was also a plus, it's a mid to small sized restaurant - it's cozy and active in all the eat ways. The food was wonderful, we started with the classic ceviche (star of the show) which was absolutely amazing! My wife got the Arroz Con Marisvos and I got the Tacu-Tacu. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. We split the lava cake for dessert, which came with some Peruvian ice cream that has a caramel flavor to it. I typed all of this and forgot to mention the amazing butter that accompanied the dinner roll. Zip over to Ambler and check them out, we'll probably see you there.

Five of us dined at Geronimo's on a Friday evening. The restaurant is very nice and well decorated. My husband had the Ceviche Clasico for an appetizer, which I liked more than he did. He had the Pasta Con Mariscos, which he liked. My parents both ordered a Caesar salad - they forgot the croutons on my dad's salad even though only my mom didn't want them. I ordered the salmon, which was very good. My dad had the Lomo Saltado, which he thought was fine but not great. My mom had the Pollo Limon, which she wasn't crazy about. She said that the meat lacked much taste and could have used more seasoning. My daughter had macaroni and cheese from the kids menu - she's 6, so I definitely appreciated that they had this option. Dessert was fine. My parents and my husband both had the Apple Crisp, which takes a long time to come - but is delicious. My daughter wanted Lava Cake, and liked it - but it wasn't hot by the time it came out (probably because they were waiting on the apple crisp) Our server was pleasant but we had to flag her down often for various things, like missing utensils. A fairly expensive meal - above average - I'd try them again in the future.

Excellent food and service and a pleasant atmosphere. Glad we early birded it because it started filling up as we were finishing up.

A really wonderful dining experience. Great service, food was fantastic in a lovely setting. Both proteins (salmon and short rib) were cooked perfectly and were full of flavor. Love that they are byob. Parking in the adjacent lot was free after 6pm.

Cute restaurant we found in Ambler for date night! The ambiance was really romantic. It was not extremely dark which I appreciated. The servers were so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food came out pretty quick too. The calamari was nice and crunchy and I forgot the name of the white sauce that came with it, but it was so tasty! My husband got the chicken special and normally we don't order chicken at restaurants but the chicken was so juicy and tender! The Geronimo sauce came with it and it elevated the taste! I dipped my fries into the her Geronimo sauce as well. My lomo Saltado was cooked to perfection. It was so tender. I recommend giving this restaurant a try! We had a lovely experience here!

Went for an impromptu date night. We had no reservation, but Daniel the host invited us with a huge smile and welcomed us in. Luckily, since it was early in the evening, there were still a few tables available. Daniel explained to us each dish in detail. We got papa a la huancaina for appetizer along with chupe de camarones ( shrimp chowder). For the main course, we got the house special which was baked/rotisserie half chicken with salad and french fries. Finished off with a coffee. Overall, great ambience and great food.

First time at this restaurant First time eating Peruvian food There was 3 people for dinner What we ordered : 3 waters 1 MARACUYA. We were also given on our table warm bread with fig butter on the side Appetizers: Grilled Octopus - excellent , the octopus was grilled to perfection, the purple sauce was very tasty, avocado pieces, grilled red bell peppers and 3 garlic toasted toast Sea Bass Ceviche- corns, red onions, seas bass was soo tender and tasty. Vinegar and lemon combined to perfection. Scallops - 4 shells. Cook with cheese on top, the scallops were cooked to perfection. LOMO SALTADO Stir fry marinated tenderloin cubes with red onions , tomato and French fries, served with rice. My son had this meal, the meal arrived temperature hot. My son enjoyed the meal. His plate was empty. He said he was happy with the food. Seafood Paella special for the night I shared this with my husband The food arrived temperature and so much seafood. The seafood was call cooked to perfection. Nothing was tough or too chewy. 1 lobster cut in half, mussels, squid, scallops. This was so tasty. We enjoyed this meal I only nibbled I was not that hungry Desserts Crema Volteda- looked like flan, the only difference , it was very creamy and firm Lucuma Ice Cream- this ice cream is.very creamy. Per the server she stated that it taste like a combination of strawberry and pineapple. Again, very very creamy Server -Deborah She was excellent She knew all the dishes and knew exactly how to describe the meals The owner came to our table many times. He described the food, he was very hands on owner. My husband asked the owner a question The question, is that true that Peruvian men don't do much Is it true that women do all the work. Like cook, serve dinner, clean the dishes and the house work. The owner said that is not True! We all help as a family. If that was true no men would be married. My husband stated - so the men do help. Thank you for the clarification.

    Ceviche

Great service and amazing food ! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the owner who chilled our wine and gave us a quick background on his Peruvian restaurant. The Geronimo ceviche was great as was the langostino soup. We can't wait to come back! Attached pictures say it all!

The food is NOT good and it is expensive. The staff are nice and the white table cloths look nice but don't get sucked in. Waste of money.

Nice to find a place to get pollo à la brasa in the area. The fries were hand cut and perfectly cooked. The side salad was a nice size. I had enough fries and salad leftover for the next day. I tried some of the yucca huancain and it was good. The yucca seemed overcooked. The sauce was a little too thick. It may be because it was take out so the dish got cold. The flavors were on point but the texture not so much. The purple corn drink was so unique. I never had it before but highly recommend it!! I can't even explain it. Not super sweet and a hint of fruit. The sweet potato donuts lacked flavor but the dipping sauce helped. The flan was my favorite. It was thicker and creamier than I'm used to and really enjoyed it.

We generally stick to the rotisserie chicken and it's always flavorful, moist, and well cooked. The only downer for us are the sauces -- a lot of the more authentic sauces seem to be mayo heavy and doesn't hit the same mark as say a sauce from Nando's Peri Peri. But still, Sardi's incredible and we're glad to have them in the area. What you didn't come here for: - Water: There is water at a self-serve soda machine and the water is clean. - Restrooms: There are single occupancy Men & Women's restrooms. - Accessibility: The restaurant is wheelchair accessible - Seating: There is plenty of seating throughout - Will it fill you up? Absolutely enough for one meal - Dietary Notes: If you are vegetarian, you might struggle to find options. There isn't a true vegetarian entree option besides a salad. It'd be nice if they offered a multiple sides platter but oh well.

Well as of recently we both have seen it shared a bit and decided to try it out. We both got the pan con chicharron sandwich . I ordered plantains as a side and he had fries - it was a $4 add on for a side which you save $2.50 each by adding it to the sandwich. The size of the sides are probably both worth the $6.50 on their own. The fries were your basic fries - probably frozen but good. The plain twins were fried nicely and had good flavor - I would have loved a dipping sauce with them. Now since the place is known for their chicken I wanted to try something with chicken. Well they had empanadas (not sure if this is always on the menu) and you could get 3 for $12 with a sauce. We did each of the 3 flavors they had available: Huachana Empanada (this is the house made Salchicha which is a Peruvian sausage w/ eggs), ham & cheese , and the chicken . The sauce I picked to go with them was their signature sauce - the aji pollo. The sauce I have never tasted anything like it - definitely interesting. The chicken empanada was very plain. The chicken definitely did have a unique flavor but was a little dry in the empanada - it was apparently cooked with the same sauce. The ham and cheese was my favorite - I loved the cooper sharp with the ham. The sausage also had a great spice! As for the sandwich the chicharron was cooked so well paired with the sweet potato and pickled onions it gave it a nice balance of sweet and salty as well as different textured bites. I will say overall that most of the items on the menu were a tad dry and could use a sauce or something - however overall the flavor was great. Everything came to $40 which wasn't bad. The restaurant was super clean inside, they had a few tables but we got takeout. It also looked like they served coffee and a few other things. Their online order menu definitely has more items listed than the regular menu. I definitely do want to go back and try the rotisserie chicken on its own with some other sides! A very filling meal though if you're looking for that !

It's tender, well-seasoned, and tastes like someone actually cared about how it was made. If you've never been, don't overthink it. Start with a half chicken and two sides (good for 2-3 people). I suggest one rice-based side and one other. The portions are more substantial than you'd expect. Take it home, build yourself a slop bowl, and top it with the sauce you selected. You'll end up with a meal that's more filling and roughly half the price of two Chipotle burrito bowls. They also offer roast beef and pork options in the sandwich or appetizer section of the menu, which are solid alternatives if you're not into dealing with chicken on the bone or don't feel like deboning. This is primarily a takeout spot, so don't expect bathrooms or fountain soda, though there are a few places to sit if you want to eat there. If you're on a protein kick or just want something different (without getting too adventurous), Dan Hector is absolutely worth trying.
