This is a boutique red wine winery. We got a Groupon for 12 tastings, for only $23, totally worth it! Our hostess was Roxie and she put on a show for us, it was like drinks and entertainment. They have a big dog who's a total sweetheart, she was trying to go home with us

First time here yesterday and we found this place because they are dog friendly. The view is SPECTACULAR, i literally felt like i was transported to Italy! Our wine educator was Howard, he was sooo friendly and knowledgeable, he made it a great experience for us. I fell in love with their wine Aestria (spell check?) the art on the wine bottles was also super beautiful which I loved. I'd def come back in the future.

This is a beautiful property and the views are great. The event spaces are nice and the tasting price is good for the experience ($30) a person. This is unique place that is own by European family. The varietials are Itlaian and French based that are appreciated with a lot of knowledge given by the wine expert. The six tasting flight we enjoyed was also paralleled with some Cab/Sauv and Merlot wines that were comped. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable as I expressed earlier. You have to come to experience and appreciate the overall feel and texture of this place. I do have to mention that the wines and pallet may not be for everyone. The methods and preparation for the vintages are unique to the vintner. Also, there are no food options available only pretzels that are given free.

This was my first visit to GBV as it's known around the area. It's located on top of a hill so the views are breathtaking. They are currently under some renovation but we did tasting out back with Howard and had a great time. They are strictly a red wine winery and chose the wines themselves that we tasted, fine by me. Howard guided us through our tastings and told us of fabulous food pairings as well as the tasting notes of each wine. This winery is also dog friendly and the owner had his two dachshunds running freely around the property.

My friends and I stopped by here on a whim, and we were not disappointed! They make big, well balanced reds and they know their business. Howard was very knowledgeable, and Kenny was a great host. The views were amazing, and though the weather was a tad warmer, it was still comfortable to sit outside and enjoy them. I definitely plan to return!

Strange sign in the women's bathroom. Really?? Kinda gives the vibes that there's a hidden camera in there.

This winery was recommended as a stop to our group of wine professionals, including two WSET 3 Somms. (One being my husband) . Driving up, I was very impressed with the building design and vineyards and excited to taste the wines. From there, things got a little weird and surprising actually. We were led through a building that looked like an outdated wedding facility, to a back patio that had round event tables covered in tired, burgundy tablecloths. This is where our tasting was set up. Our tasting menus were laminated with areas to score each wine with a sharpie, which we all thought was really odd. We just wanted to taste through the wines and discuss them. Howard our server was very knowledgeable about the wines themselves, and liked to talk. I wouldn't call him an educator though especially amongst our our group, he's more of a wine salesman, friendly but overwhelming. There were bags of some kind of janky chips on the table, which, if they were to be a palate cleanser, they missed the mark with their spicy saltyness. Howard was very slow to serve us each wine and we could see him on a computer inside the building. There was only one other table of two outside, other than that, the place was empty. At one point I looked in and Howard was at a makeshift tasting counter where he had the open bottles and took a drink right out of a bottle, not kidding. We actually thought this was kind of funny. A man with a dog and a glass of wine mosied through, we figured the owner. He didn't stop to say hello though if he was the owner. My husband and I enjoy seated tastings when the wine is good, the wine steward is knowledgeable and paces it well. None of the wines we tasted were good, I would say even flawed and past their prime. Nothing we tasted was younger than 2018, Howard, said that they like to age their wines longer, maybe they need to rethink this. This winery that looks very charming on the outside but needs a lot of work on the wine program and the overall aesthetics. It has the bones to be a fantastic Winery but the dated 80's vibe, tacky feel, noisy fans, no music, odd tasting menu, cheap seating and bathrooms with odd signs in it all needs an overhaul, it's definitely not the vibe you get from the website. I'm pretty sure from their website that it is mostly a wedding venue and the weddings do look beautiful, so do some areas that we did not see, even a lake apparently! If I could give separate stars, I would've said 5+ for the outside of the building when you drive up and Vineyard views. Zero for pretty much everything else. We bought one bottle of wine as a pity purchase.

A real treat, Howard makes the whole experience a10+++++. He gets an A+. Knows his wines, the establishment and his humour made it a PERFECT WINE-TASTING EXPERIENCE. Gershon Bachus I'm sure realises what an asset he is! Great view, great wines, great labels on their bottles, great ambience. Everyone should make this a must!!!

One thing that stands out to me is how diverse and knowledgeable the staff is. Many servers are well versed about Latin flavors, and it makes the experience feel more authentic, welcoming, and internationally minded, which is very important to me. The winery itself is beautiful - elegant, clean, and always impressive. The views are some of the best in Temecula (I think they even won an award for it). I'm proud to bring friends and family here when they visit from outside the country because it consistently leaves a great impression. I personally don't drink wine, but when I go with people who do they say it's very good. I also appreciate that they offer excellent non-alcoholic options. Their cappuccino is fantastic, and it's nice that people who don't drink (whether permanently, temporarily, or for health reasons) can still fully enjoy the experience. The food quality has always been excellent. I like high-protein meals, and the steak frites with chimichurri sauce is one of my favorites. Everything tastes fresh, high quality, and consistently well prepared. Overall, this is a classy, welcoming place with outstanding service, great food, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back.

Five of us converged on this winery around 4pm to get there well before it closed at 6pm. Ample time for tasting and food on a Thursday. After a delightful tasting of reds, I ordered a glass of great Tempranillo followed by a fabulous Zinfandel with dinner. Others ordered the Pinot Grigio, and we were all very happy with our choices. The food service was similar to some other wineries where you order at the cashier inside and they bring you the food. The Roman Artichokes were fresh and inviting. The pepperoni and sausage pizza was absolutely delicious! Loved it. Crusty, bubbly and the pepperoni & sausage had authentic Italian flavor. Not too thick not too thin just right. Julie's Favorite - a Margherita pizza with fresh tomato and fresh basil- was lacking & flat in flavor, perked it up with the parmesan and red pepper flakes. Cobb Salad was salad art and more than enough for two people. Polpette e marinara meatballs. Order it. Served warm in a little croc to hold in the warmth. Long review, we weren't there for a long time but we were there for a good time. It's a bit off the main Rancho California Road, but a lovely drive. I decided to do a wine tasting for my birthday with 2 other guests and drove from LA to Temecula on a Sunday. Arriving to the estate was easy, there's plenty of free parking spots surrounding the winery. It's quite an uphill stroll and some stairs are involved, but you definitely get a workout in. They have a covered patio area of tables that are either reserved or you put your name down to get a table on the left side of the winery, the middle/terrace area is usually used for private parties/events such as a bridal shower or birthday party, where there are 2 outside bars and sometimes they offer live music, the back area of the estate has a grassy area with small vendors selling jewelry and such with picnic style tables (no shade or cover), a gazebo of seating facing in my opinion, the best part of the view, and a separate location for wine club members. The inside is where you do the actual wine tasting experience, and has high bar stool tables and chairs for seating as well. Stepping up to the hostess desk, a man who worked there greeted us and very quickly told us what they offer and then walked away (had nothing to do with the check in desk area, so it was a little confusing). The hostesses had the same spiel to give, and I had mentioned it was our first time and we had absolutely no idea how to even begin a wine tasting experience. The explanations were rushed and basically told us to figure it out. We walked away towards the inside/outside terrace of the winery and were stuck walking around for 5 minutes not knowing where to go. We stopped by one of the outside bars and asked for help, the bartender told us we could start our wine tasting experience inside. Now was that so hard to help us navigate where we're supposed to go and what we're supposed to do? Not everything should be explained on a script, most of the time hospitality and customer service goes a longer distance than formalities. We finally get inside and the women working the front for the tastings were really impersonal and standoffish. We finally start getting a tasting experience going, asked for recommendations and none were received or explained so we just picked random options and had them pour. Throughout the 6 tastings we had, each pour was a different amount, if the bottle they were using was running low, they would pour the last bits of it (barely 2 sips), and hand it over, vs a bottle that was more than full, would get a nice even tasting pour. We eventually wanted to order food, and before we even started the tasting, we asked for a table and the hostess told us it would be over an hour wait. We put our names down, they called us in the middle of our 2/6 tasting, which was less than 20 min. So we went to our table and kept having to go back inside one by one to taste our different wines, as we were at a table now and not just doing the tasting experience inside. Food was great, service at the table was also great. Afterwards we left our table and walked towards the gazebo area and sat down by the view. The most enjoyable part of our day just taking in the atmosphere. On our way out, we wanted to experience a different viewpoint which was the bar area with the stools next to the tables of the "reserved/name down" area. I very nicely asked the hostess if we could sit in the empty seats for just a second to finish our last tasting and take in the view, she told us no those are reserved areas and not just open for anyone to sit at as they please. "Sorryyyy those are reserved spaces" with a smile that was clearly not genuine. We understood, dropped our wine glasses off at the bar, and proceeded to our next destination. All in all, the service here was not great. The entire experience felt absolutely rushed, it was not focused on the wine tasting experience at all, they are more focused on selling tables and getting you to order food. There was no explanations on a quick backstory of the wines we were interested in trying, it was just like "which one do you want" "*point*" poured it, and just told us to enjoy. I didn't enjoy my time here at all, and I won't be back to visit, as there are many many other lowkey wineries that are not as highly reviewed or popular as this one, and they are a much better experience.
