I had an urgent need with house guests arriving on Saturday. Requested quote on Thursday through the Yelp App, and I received a call within minutes of posting. They arrived to take measurements and show samples that same day and the team arrived the next morning exactly as promised with installation complete before 1 pm next day. FANTASTIC!!! They even corrected a prior problem and leveled the new carpet to my hardwood floors. Such attention to detail. They saved the day. Highly recommend.

I paid a deposit months ago for a specific, HOA-approved carpet for a real estate listing. My sales rep, Rodney, took the payment, provided zero proactive communication for weeks, and sent a blanket "Will do!" when I submitted the final HOA approval. Only after I was forced to follow up after more than a week of silence did Rodney admit the warehouse "misplaced" the inventory. Rather than taking accountability for failing to order/secure the product on time, he attempted an unauthorized product swap--sending photos of a completely different alternative carpet and trying to force it onto my project without my consent. When confronted, Rodney scrambled, blamed the HOA, made excuses about warehouse inventory numbers, and admitted the original carpet would take weeks to arrive--confirming he spent weeks hiding severe delays rather than managing the order. THIS IS A DIRECT 24-HOUR NOTICE TO MANAGEMENT: I require store management to contact me directly within 24 hours to either: 1. Provide written confirmation of a firm, expedited delivery and installation date for the exact contracted carpet, OR 2. Process a 100% full refund of my deposit immediately so I can take my business to a professional vendor. If management fails to resolve this within 24 hours, I will be filing a formal credit card chargeback for unfulfilled goods/services and taking further steps to recover financial holding damages caused by these listing delays. Rodney and The Floor Store team on Geary have severely impacted my timeline through gross incompetence. Management needs to fix this today.

After enduring 5 different tenants, each with pets, since 2016, the floors held up extremely well but I thought that they could use a new buffing before I put the unit back on the market because they had recently incurred some water damage from a ceiling leak. Jaime came over the very next day after I had contacted him, and then rebuffed the floors the following day. The price was extremely reasonable. What was most surprising is the Jaime actually moved the kitchen appliances and to remove the accumulated debris under them, despite my suggestion that he need not bother to do this extra work. This is definitely a man who cares about his work: conscientious, efficient, reliable and most importantly, a skilled craftsman!

When I went to Rafael Floors and spoke with Robert Gomez, I was really impressed with his knowledge about flooring and carpeting. It was obvious he had decades of experience. I told him what I was looking for, and he answered a bunch of questions I had about carpet, quality, and the selection. I went home with several samples to check out how they looked in the different light throughout the day. After looking at the samples in my place for a week, I found the perfect carpet and color I wanted. Robert came over for measurements and an estimate. Everything had gone smoothly and professional to this point where in other places there were flags that would stop me cold, and I would stop the process and move on. The whole selection and purchase process with Robert went smoothly, and they were ready to install the carpet before I was because I had some painting that needed to be done, and I had to delay them several times. When I was finally ready, Juan and Douglas arrived on time to install the carpet. It was a two-day process, and I was really impressed how methodical they were. It was like they were putting together a puzzle they were really familiar with and each part was being sized and put in its place. I later found out that Rafael Floors has a lengthy training process for their installers that takes years. It starts with a 5-year apprentice program where they work under a journeyman installer before they can go out to install a carpet. Juan described to me what a momentous and serious occasion it was after 5 years to finally have a project of his own and being responsible for all the materials and making the customer happy. They did a perfect job and I was one happy customer. That was 3 months ago and I wanted to be sure that others would see my review like I saw others' so they would know what I know about Rafael Floors.
