He advised us of the manufacturer's warranty on the broken faucet, which we were not aware of. He brought to our attention a small mysterious-looking accessory that came in the box with the new faucet, and showed us how to use it. (It's for keeping the aerator clean.) One recent Saturday, midday I notice small puddle on the guest bathroom floor. Turns out my (less than 20 year old) copper pipe had a pinhole leak. My water lines are in the attic and this leak must have been going on for over a week before we realized it was a leaking pipe. Later in the afternoon, I called several local plumbers with high Yelp reviews. One didn't answer their phone, another I was on hold with forever then the call went to voice mail, and another only had someone available after 8:00 PM. So I called a friend for a recommendation and she gave me Sam's number. Sam answered his phone immediately and was here within an hour. Leak was fixed quickly using a compression fitting rather than soldering, which was cool with me since I didn't like the idea of a flame to solder in my attic with all that 60 year old dry wood. Plumbing work is unfortunately one of those things that may look good when they leave, and then you realize they did the job incorrectly a year later or ten years later when your bathroom is ruined, so, very important to read updates. For us, we still think Sam is a nice guy, but his work is not good and his response to said failures in work are also not good. When installing our toilet, Get That Fixed did not seat it correctly and we subsequently have unsightly brown liquid leaking from the base of our bowl. I called Sam to fix and he never responded. Another plumber explained that the toilet was not seated correctly. Sam was referred to me by a very close friend that is an absolute stickler for quality, craftsmanship, cleanliness & reasonableness of the work done. Sam has experience in full HVAC (Air Conditioning-Heating) & Plumbing, from Snaking clogs in lines all the way up to full re-plumbing, Tankless Water Heating & repairing of main waste lines, as he worked for some larger companies & has since started his own business. Sam installed a new Whole House Shut-Off & Pressure Reducing Valve, new MERV 11 HVAC filters & air scrubbers on our 2 HVAC Units. It took me a few days to decide exactly what I wanted to have installed, as the MERV filters can be fairly complicated to understand. Sam explained everything to me & recommended that I install MERV 11 Filter as opposed to the higher MERV 13 Filters, which may filter smaller particles, but he advised it sometimes, by adding more resistance, creates a bigger pressure drop across the filter choking the unit of air flow & can cause problems with the unit. I ended up doing some research & he was right on. I think the best & most influential reason to use Sam is because he is not only the person that will come out to provide an estimate of the work, but he is actually the one that returns to perform the work to completion, so you know what Ur going to get. He arrived with Booties, gloves & mask & when it can time to sign the receipt, he provided hand sanitizer & wiped down the pen & sprayed the invoice! In today's times, that is very encouraging! I cannot say enough good things about Get That Fixed Plumbing and Sam!! We've used Sam for years! Our house was built in 1927. After having other plumbing companies out to look at the property, tell us what they felt was required, get estimates and finally have work done, We chose Get That Fixed Plumbing. Sam from Get That Fixed came out, did a thorough inspection, told us honestly what was required immediately, what was not as urgent and could wait until later. Gave us a very fair estimate (unlike some of the other estimates received that were RIDICULOUS in price and quantity of work supposedly needed.) Not only did Get That Fixed get the job done in one day (digging out the old cracked cast iron main sewer pipe under the house, having to belly crawl into the crawl space and replacing with new) but also making sure the clean out was properly sloped with a "positive" slope towards the street (the previous plumber had apparently done a shoddy job, leaving it with a "negative" slope, causing (ick!) everything to slope backwards towards the back of the house, creating a backed-up, clogged line that required snaking every 6-8 months!) Get That Fixed also installed a new clean-out in the front yard. Had I not seen one of the guys waist deep in a hole they dug with my own eyes, I never would have believed they had even done ANY work in the front. The front yard looked perfect when they were done!!! They were very good about thoroughly cleaning up and removing everything upon completion. A sign of a good company is how conscientious their employees are at cleaning up after themselves. Sam's come to 6 of my properties since 2009, he's that good! Each time he has easily diagnosed the problem and presented the solution. When money was tight he explained clearly and honestly the pros and cons of cheaper/short term fixes, what future issues to look for and how long repairs could be expected to last. Regardless of my fiances, his repairs have been quality ones. Sam has dug up 1/3 of a front yard to remove a 2' round pine tree root ball in the mainline, he's repaired faucets, replaced toilets and water heaters. Sam's been under houses, in attics, dealing with slabs and driveways, in backyards, constructions sites and 70 yr old houses. Sam's bids have been competitive and I am thankful for his work.
