Clearly this company does not need add'l rave reviews from me, someone who didn't even wind up getting work done with them. But I couldn't NOT leave a review because Natal was so wonderful. Long story short, I changed plans and am no longer getting a new water heater. But the friendly help and stellar communications from Natalia were appreciated and impressive. When I sent her a photo of the existing water heater and expressed concern about what the new, tankless water heater would look like, she sent AI (or photoshop) -generated images showing exactly what it would look like in my garage. When I shifted gears and said "Maybe we can put it outside, she addressed all of the logistical concerns, sent a tech out to go over the situation, then generated an elaborate quote that broke everything down beautifully. And then, of course, I used ChatGPT to troubleshoot what can go wrong with moving a water heater ten feet, while changing from tank to tankless and going from interior to exterior and it gave me about twenty concerns. Most of them seemed like AI nonsense but some of them were good points. Make sure your gas meter is X size, make sure your gas line is 3/4", many concerns about re-circulation situation... I'm sure the Natal and her techs new all of this and knew to determine some things on the day it was installed but Natal took every one of my concerns to heart, realized some were valid concerns that were not addressed on the first time a tech came out to quote the job so sent our another tech to take a closer look. And then I never did the job... Natal was as pleasant and sweet the last day as she was the first day. Just eager to gain my trust and do the job. Clearly, that has been most people's experience, too, as i look at these other reviews. Look, I don't get the impression that On Call Water Heaters shows up with three brand new vans all emblazoned with the name of the company in a full vehicle ad-wrap and the price she gave me reflected that... smaller outfit with less personnel that gives good pricing and good service with a good attitude. As usual, it's one or two people at a company that make it stick out and in this case it's all Natal. read more

There are very few people who truly go above and beyond anymore, but Anthony from Oncall Water Heaters is absolutely one of them. If I could give them 10 STARS I would. This is only a review for getting an estimate. The company does a bait and switch and I believe a lot of the reviews here are false. I don't typically review but don't want someone else to be scammed. I submitted a project through Yelp, specifying our water heater model and error code we were getting. Natalia responded with a $99 flat rate estimate to clear the error code plus a flush service. I called her to get more details, and she was a little confusing and noncommittal but I figured since this is what she wrote, it was fine. She said someone could be there by 9 am. When they were already on their way, she messaged me that they would do a flush for $275 plus diagnostic fees, and a replacement would be $3700-4000 (none of which she said when I talked to her on the phone). I told her we wanted to cancel and she said sorry he's already on the way and she can't reach him. We refused service when he arrived, but it was all in all a very negative experience using misleading bait and switch tactics. read more

I had another problem with another water heater not working. At first, I looked at the blinking red lights, which showed the problem that I needed to fix. Going through the guidebook, I see what type of problem to fix. I called around different plumbing companies but found that On Call Water Heaters had the part that I needed to fix the water heater. They were pretty fast to install the part on the water heater, and it worked for a couple of days. Then, the water heater stopped working again. So I called Natalia from On Call Water Heaters about the problem. It seemed my best solution was to replace the old water heater with a new one. So, Natalia used some of the money that I paid for the fixed part as a deductible to pay and install the new water heater. Just as the plumber was gonna get ready to install a new water heater, he noticed that gallon size was wrong. I needed a 30-gallon size instead of a 40-gallon size. So, it added some extra time to get this water heater problem resolved by exchanging the 40-gallon size one for a 30-gallon size one. By the time the plumber got the new 30-gallon water heater, he went to work, taking out the old one and replacing it with the new one, which was pretty fast. After installing the new water heater, I felt better since hot water was back and cold showers in the winter were going gone. read more
