My boyfriend and I had the best experience here! We are both just getting back into roller skating after a very long break. The help we received at Get Your Bearings was fantastic! We were shown different skates in different price ranges and our feet were measured for a good fit. I went with the Moxi Lolly and my bf got Sure Grips. We are both very happy with our skates and very grateful for the help we received at Get Your Bearings!

Couldn't be happier with my new skates!

Been in 3 times now to upgrade my entire skate setup, from boots to wheels; so I had a lot of questions. The entire staff was super awesome, attentive and patient in helping me get everything together, even when the store got busy. If you want to get skate gear that's the best fit for you, this is the place to go! Special thanks to Sierra as well who was awesome through the whole process.

What a great place! We stopped in to gear my daughter up for derby camp and the two ladies there were super helpful. They really took the time to explain things to us and spent a bit of time making sure that my daughter had all of the safety gear she needed and that it fit right. They did not try to upsell us on anything and were happy to answer all of our questions. This is definitely the place to go for all your roller needs!

Don't let the name of this shop fool you- they have PLENTY for recreational, rink, park and street skaters so please consider this your go to roller skate shop if you live in the Seattle area! I've personally had only amazing experiences- Most recently, I had to get my plate re-mounted because the toe stop was threaded improperly and stuck permanently in my plate. I don't use toe stops, so I literally cut it off with a hack saw until I could get it replaced. Don't ask me how long that took. I paid for rush mounting and it only took the shop two days to call me and let me know that my skates were ready to be picked up! At the shop itself, the staff were so helpful and friendly, even though it was close to the end of their business day both times I visited recently. As far as their prices go, they're standard for any skate shop both online or in person. They get in shipments of both skates and wheels regularly and often announce inventory restocks on their social media. Overall, they're the only skate shop in WA that caters specifically to roller skaters, so please support them instead of ordering from shops online that are in other states (they do have a website too, just saying!) so that we all can have this commodity in our area for as long as we can!

The employees were happy to provide guidance about which wheels to get (and understood that I didn't feel comfortable dropping $$$$ on potentially unsuitable gear for my situation).

Evo Seattle is my home store, and honestly, I'm just so grateful they're here. I've bought two sets…read moreof skis, two pairs of boots, and way too much outerwear and base layers here over the years, so I've spent a lot of time in the shop. The selection is huge, but it's really the people that keep me coming back. The shop team is awesome and they actually listen. If something isn't feeling right with your gear, they're super open to feedback and want to make it right. Matt, the shop manager, is the man. He's incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. It makes a huge difference going into a season knowing your gear was handled by people who care. I also have to give a massive shoutout to Caesar, who helped me with a boot fit recently. I can't say enough good things about him. He sat there and listened to every single complaint I had about my old boots and didn't stop until we found the perfect pair. We tried on at least four different sets, and he was so patient through the whole process. What I appreciated most was how honest he was about the tradeoffs between different fits. He explained exactly what I should be looking for and how to adjust them on the fly. He moved me from a "beginner" comfort fit into a performance boot that feels worlds better on the snow. I really hope he's still there when I'm ready for my next pair, but honestly, with how good he is, he'll probably be running the company by then. Whether you're just starting out or you've been skiing for years, go to Evo. They have the perfect mix of being approachable but also knowing exactly what they're talking about.
