The decor makes the store feel cozy and upscale definitely an elevated version of PublixSupermarket. The isles are well stocked and the overall vibe of the store is calm and relax. You can take your time and there are no lines at the cash register. Publix is a lot busier, has more variety, more isles and very practical and convenient. Milam's has great deli and great selection of hot prepared food items that look almost gourmet while Publix has the famous subs and cakes. If you prefer calm, relax, cute boutique like market then step into Milam's. It you prefer practical, convenient and everyday pricing then Publix will do. Both are great stores.

I think it was primarily because this…read morestore had been hyped up so much by so many people, especially those who'd lived in California and previously shopped at TJ's there and were elated when their stores finally started opening in the Miami area. A few weeks before I came here, one of our neighbors saw us carrying Publix bags and admonished us, telling us we'd save a lot by going to TJ's instead. All that in mind, I came to Trader Joe's fully expecting a mind-blowing adventure in grocery shopping where I'd find amazing foods along with typical grocery store items, all at rock bottom prices. That day I left disappointed and empty handed. I selected a few things, but ended up putting them back as I found that TJ's didn't have many of the standard grocery staples I was looking for on that day, and several items were more expensive than Publix. I'd actually written a review draft, giving this Trader Joe's 3 stars at most after that visit. Fast forward several weeks and I was looking for something unique to make for dinner and I did a search for creative ideas from Trader Joe's. They had several suggestions for buying multiple items at this store and combining them (in some cases using additional ingredients from Publix as well) for a relatively inexpensive and fast meal so I came, found everything I needed and made 2 dinners for two for about $15 each. The first was Birria tacos which hubby is a fan of each time we go to Earls. The second was chicken mole which I often order at Bakan or Koko, both with Mexican rice. Both meals were simple to prepare, turned out really well and were inexpensive to make. If you come here to TJ's looking for lots of standard grocery store staples and basic ingredients, you may be disappointed - and with many things it makes sense to comparison shop as Trader Joes' isn't always the cheapest on price - but for specialty items, frozen prepared foods and meal planning, I found it to be a really good option. I'll be looking for more recipe ideas and return for sure!

Alright, here's my updated take…read more I'll start with the good, because there is some. The location of this Fresh Market is great. Parking is right in front, super easy, no stress. And when you first walk in, the place actually looks nice. It feels like it should be a solid shopping experience. But that feeling does not last long. I know there have been complaints about food temps and standards, and after going back, I can say this clearly. The problem is not the store itself, it is the people running it. That is where everything starts to fall apart. I went back Monday night, my second visit since that brutal local newspaper article. I had just finished a workout and wanted to grab a steak. Quick in and out. That was the plan. Instead, I walked up to the meat department and just stopped. It was rough. Not a little messy. I am talking straight up dirty, disorganized, and honestly kind of gross. Definitely not what you expect when you are about to buy something you plan to eat. What really gets me is this. One of the employees there also works at another nearby supermarket that is known for having high standards. So she knows what right looks like. This is not a training issue. It is a nobody is checking, nobody cares situation. And it shows. The rest of the store felt the same way. Dingy, a little grimy, just not taken care of. The nice layout cannot save it when everything else feels off. I ended up walking out. No steak, no patience left. It is frustrating because this place has potential. Great location, nice setup, all the pieces are there. But right now it feels like nobody is really running the place. Maybe I will give it another shot around October. Hopefully something changes. Right now, it is just not it.

It's time to update my review because I have been frequenting this mercado recently and I am here…read moreto say it still slaps. Graziano's is a family run marketplace that truly has it all. If you want to grocery shop for fine meats, cheeses, wine, beer and snacks - they have got you covered. I do think that their churrasco and chimichurri are the best in Miami. If you haven't tried it, I suggest the spicy chimichurri - it's amazing. I also love the chorizo bombon. Perfect for the grill. And of course, it goes without saying no Miami beach day is complete without picking up a pack of migas or some empanadas. I can't get enough of the spicy beef lately. More recently, though, I have discovered my love of dining at Graziano's. It's right by my gym, so I find myself enjoying a latte and an empanada for breakfast often. They also have a great breakfast menu - featuring omelettes that you can get whole or half. The half is amazing because since it comes with sides like bread and hash browns, the portion is the perfect size and it's under $10. I also enjoy their lunch / dinner menu. They have really well-sized portions of delicious food. My go to is either the Picanha or chicken breast oven roasted sweet potato. The portion is big enough to share, but also great to have leftovers. This spot has become one of my favorite to work from.My go to spot is to post up at the high top tables outside - even if it's hot outside their fans make it nice to be outside and you are shaded. The best is to position yourself there at the end of the day, because once happy hour starts it's a great deal and way to end the day. They have 2-for-1 wine and beer, as well as some assorted snacks from 4-7. Also, they market wine prices don't have an upcharge so you can buy a decently priced bottle and enjoy outside with friends. I love the chill vibes and friendly service. There is a reason Graziano's has been around since 1962 and is always packed - it offers consistently great food and service and a price that is reasonable. I love it here!
