This my Publix. I've gone to lots of Publix in my day but this one, the one I go to the most is my favorite. It's just chill. Parking isn't an issue. It's in the shade and plentiful. The store is plenty big and spacious and for whatever reason, probably because I'm used to it, laid out well. The best part of this Publix though has to be the service. The folks that work seem to be nicer and more of them. It's often the cashier is waiting in front of their register just waiting for you. How often does that happen at other Publix? Let me tell you another thing, when they ask you did you find everything ok, if you answer no, they will actually make an effort to go find it in the back for you. I love this Publix and have loved it since it first opened. However, I was inspired to write this review today because of the wonderful work of their pharmacy. I was having issues having a medication transferred to this pharmacy, my insurance specifically was giving issues. Instead of asking me to figure it out and get back to her (as most pharmacies would do) Katherine called my insurance for me (which I have known to be no small feat) and got it sorted out so that my medication would be covered. Moving to a new neighborhood can be scary because you never know what your new Publix will turn out like! Thankfully, my West Miami abode is less than a mile from this store and I'm in LOVE. This Publix has everything you could want including a cafe for fresh pastelitos and Cuban coffee, pharmacy, and all your grocery standards. I've even found more of a selection of products here, especially international food, than my old Publix in Brickell. What sets it apart the most for me is just how expansive it feels. While I usually prefer to go in "off" hours, I've never felt like I'm running into people and can really shop in peace. Parking is in a garage and you take an elevator down to the first floor where the store is. I was worried this would be a hassle time after time, but it really doesn't bother me. I do wish there were stairs though so I could run down when in a hurry. All in all, very happy this is my new Publix! read more

I like the fact that it has a parking garage for rainy days. I refer to this as the "guelos market" because it's the addition that West Miami needed without having to drive to the Ponce store. I personally dread the deli line ordeal but that's at every Publix so I conveniently online order all my cuts & if you download the app it becomes even easier. There's only about 4 or 5 layouts that all Florida Publix's follow but this one seems to be a bit more functional than the ones I'm used to. The staff is always helpful in assisting to to locate certain items amongst the aisles. The freezer section is a lot more spacious than the antiquated layouts so it gives you space to browse freely without clipping a running toddler with your cart. It's not exactly a Publix Sabor but due to the demographics in the area, you'll be able to find much more variety on international items and condiments. Exiting the garage is a bit tricky because there's a blind spot on the side that makes it challenging to fully merge without twenty cars trying to run you over but as long as you stop at the stop sign and wait patiently, your turn will come up. Plus, who wants to get wet in the miami rain with groceries? Finally, a parking garage that was designed right! read more

Tips; 1)Publix app. Download it, this is the best tip you'll get in life. The app allows you to create a grocery list, see Publix recipes, check the weekly coupons / specials which you can add to your list with 1 click and more. Best of all is that it puts everything in order by isle depending on what you have set as your home store. You could breeze through grocery shopping in less than 10 minutes! 2) Planning on getting a delicious sub or some cold cuts from the deli? Order it online or through the app and it'll be there waiting for you. Lines are for scrubs. 3) They often have a coupon where you can get $10 off a $50 gas card with 50 in grocery purchases (deli / meals count too). If you're gonna spend that 50, might as well get a few free gallons of gas while you're at it. 4) Thursday. This is when the new BOGOs (buy one get one) and weekly ad come out. Every week I add over $30 worth of crap I don't really need because of this. Delicious, half off, crap. There are often BOGOs on wine and beer if you're into trying new dranks. Products worth trying at least once - you might love 'em like I do; 1) Taylor farms chopped salads: Southwest and BBQ styles are the best. Asian is trash. 2) San Sebastian 'Vintners red' wine. A bit on the sweet side but it's been my favorite for years now. 97% of the people I've treated to it loved it. 3) Newman's own brand: The frozen pizza in particular and the pineapple salsa (... not to be mixed. Although that might actually taste good now that I think about it). They also make great sauces, dressings and wine. 4) Al fresco brand country style breakfast chicken sausage. They also have an apple version that is also delish. 5) Ben and Jerry's ice cream - cheesecake variant of choice... They have strawberry, chocolate, swirlys, birlys, etc... 6) Near east brand quinoa blend "roasted red pepper and basil". 7) Weber brand "kick'n chicken" seasoning That's all I can come up with from my fridge right now. There's a guy who's always behind the counter handing out board head samples- there was a line of 5-9 people and he will literally be trying to talk people into getting some new boars head ham instead of CUTTING THE DELI ITEMS SO THE LINE COULD GO DOWN. read more

How many times am I going to be approached for a donation at Publix? Their prices are high, rivaling Milams and Whole Foods. Their produce has to be scrutinized because you may just take home strawberries that are spoiling. Their avocados are awful and lemons & limes so over-priced and hard as rocks. Yesterday, one of the supervisors by the registers yelled out "DONATIONS! DONATIONS!", demanding their cashiers ask for donations every time. I donate ALL THE TIME to "St. Judes, ASPCA", "IFAW:Koahlas in Australia" and "Ligthhouse for the blind" just to name a few. I don't need to be put on the spot every time I shop. At the register there were candles for the "great price" of $14.99 for 2!!! Ordinary candles worth $3.99 TOPS! across the street at BIG LOTS. Just thinking out loud, I know it is my choice to not buy...which I didn't, but need to express. I was going to buy some flowers for what I thought was 3 bouquets for $12.99. I picked up two, only to realize at the register these ordinary arrangement of daisies were $14.99 EACH. Publix is infamous for limiting their employees to a certain number of hours a week to not pay benefits. Not sure if this is true, but reliable sources (elder employee friends) told me. So in a nutshell: Treat your people better, lower your prices and stop hounding me for a donation. I will end on a positive: The employees at Publix are sooooo nice, and cordial, polite and helpful, no matter which Publix you go to. They are always ready to assist, find an item and go the extra mile. They have an outstanding return-policy and the Customer-service desk is always amazing and helpful! read more

This is my favorite Publix location. One of the main reasons is that I can always pick up a quick snack of spinach empanada, Cuban toast, or pan de Bono, with Café con leche. The Café con leche is perfect and the snacks are fresh, toasty, and delicious! They have a little area where you can have breakfast that is cozy and clean; in the morning, the rays of the sun come through the windows and bathe you with light. This is not my favorite Publix. Some of the drawbacks are that parking is in a garage instead of a lot, teh entrance from the street is a little confusing (2 small entrances instead of 1 large one), and as you enter, it's wide open but then you're forced through a very crowded floral section. However, the rest of the store is fine and spacious. read more

2 stars are because I can never complete my shopping here. I always end up having to go to another Publix to find the rest of my grocery list. Another pet peeve is that their parking garage doesn't have parking on the same floor as the store, so you always have to take the elevator, which can sometimes be a wait. Also, there are no stairs...so no running in to get something quickly. There are workers that are very nice & knowledgeable who even write down items you would like to find in the store so that they can order them. However, I think those workers are likely temporarily there while the store recovers from growing pains. After more than a month, none of the items I requested have been brought to the store. Good luck if you go to the deli. I have had a deli attendant wait on me anywhere from 15-30 minutes, just to get 2 things! This has been my experience there every time so far :( I hope they are able to resolve the issues that are fixable so that I can update my review. The only reason I didn't give them 1 star is because it's always very clean there. read more

If you want to order a sub, don't order online. Every single time I order my sub online, they mess up my order. Whoever is making the subs doesnt pay attention to my order and puts whatever they feel like putting into my sub. I've requested for my sub to not be toasted and they toast it. I've asked for no condiments and they put condiments. One time I arrived to pick up my sub and they had completely forgotten to make it. Will have to physically go in and order from now on and watch them make my sub. read more

Placed an in-store-pickup order for 2 chicken wraps for dinner. Once we got there the person tells us they ran out of chicken, so they couldn't make it, the somebody else came after asking for their chicken sub order as was told the same thing. When asked why we weren't contacted we were told they were busy, so they couldn't call anybody. I guess they rather have people drive there, upset them and have them leave empty handed. I am a regular Publix shopper and I thought this one would be great since it is near my home. I have had very disappointing experiences with the fish and seafood department. They say they will order what you want but even the most common fish are never available. All their seafood is frozen. If you buy the shrimp know that it is the same as the frozen ones that come in a bag. They just open the bag and display it. I complained to corporate and they promised they would fix the problem but even though they keep assuring me they will order the fish I want, it is "never available" from their supplier. Interestingly, the Winn-Dixie (yikes!) down the road has the fish available. As does the Hispanic market also in the same vicinity. They also are untruthful about getting products you want. The staff in the deli are also a problem. They stand around gossiping and socializing while you wait. It took them 30 minutes to slice up two items! read more

I live half a block from your Publix store at 15 street sw 57 Ave coral gables. I have a 13 year old son with special needs, I have been asking the manager for a special needs cart so my son can use while I do my shopping. For the past three years he has been telling me that they are working on it and nothing has happened. The carts that Publix has kiddies can ride fine but a young teen does not fit in those carts. Publish has in other stores carts that have a bench in which early teens can slide in and fit with no problem, why am I being denied this type for my son? This Publix has the best floor plan ever! Products are fresh and high quality but prices are extremely competitive. Recently visited the grand opening of a Fresco y Mas, thinking it would have great specials that day, and found that some products "on sale" cost one penny or five cents less than Publix, making their regular price higher than Publix. The fact that it has the parking garage indoors is wonderful for those pesky Miami rainy days. Love it! So happy! read more

My family and I have been going to this publix since it opened because it's 2 minutes from our home. We've always had an exceptional experience here until this morning, when a lady working at the Bakery yelled at my father repeatedly for dropping a bread that he was putting in the bakery bags. She was very rude and when the Deli manager Jose asked her to please stop screaming at my dad, she didn't. She continued to scream at him in front of customers in a very loud tone. The long awaited addition to the west side of Coral Gables! Free wifi in the cafe, with plenty of seating. Parking entrance is on SW 16 St. Events on most evenings of the opening month (tastings, etc), which is interesting! Compared to Airport Plaza and Ponce this store is big. Pharmacy at this location. Love Publix Subs and Wraps, I mean who doesn't. Went here this morning for a wrap and got EXACTLY one slice of turkey and one slice of cheese!!! Was she upset that I had asked her for Boars Head that she did not have sliced already!? When I asked her why there was only one slice she said that is how much they put in their wraps! Super clean market very convenient and quick service. Pubic was much needed around this area which was lacking markets. I would like them to cary more of the specialties high grade products and more healthier prepared foods like whole foods. Every time I go to the deli at this location they are so disorganized and always make me wait a very long time. And I don't mean wait 5 to 10 minutes. I'm talking 15 minutes or more. They do not have good customer service. Today I waited over 20 minutes just to get chicken tenders out of the hot case. Mind you, there were 7 deli employees behind the counter. I have no idea why it has bad reviews. This publix is CLEAN and I'm ALWAYS greeted with a smile. The employees have gone out of their way to get me a tuna salad from the truck and a gallon of milk from the freezer. The manager has gone out of his way to make sure my shopping is a pleasure. I remember one time I couldn't remember which turkey I had bought, so he asked the woman in the deli to let me try all the roasted turkeys so I knew which one was the one I wanted. I'm a total mess, i paid with the wrong card once and they refunded my money, scanned everything all over again and charged me on the correct card, I also broke a CASE of beer once and immediately the manager came up to me and asked me if i was ok rather than put a face that another idiot customer just broke their merchandise. Nice store, brand new, it's the "other" lay out from the Le Jeune publix that many of us have shopped in for so long, but ok...my complaint was in checking out, neither the cashier, or the woman bagging the groceries spoke English. I was asking to purchase a bag of ice, and they both were unable to understand me and had to find someone else that spoke English to get that request handled. I don't understand a store putting front end personnel that don't speak English in a major store. If they do not want English only speaking customers we can make arrangements to shop elsewhere.
