Luckily, today we spotted the owner cooking out back and we are so glad! After asking him all sorts of questions we settled on the hot chicken deluxe sandwich with the seasoned fries and it did NOT disappoint. You can order online and pick up your food at the ice cream shop counter or they'll even bring it to you if you are having a beer at the brewery in the same lot. The chicken itself is delicious - crispy, juicy and huge! Add on all the other toppings and it's perfection. They also own the ice cream shop (same location) so it's kind of a 2 in 1 spot - Ghosted concepts and Cookies & Cream. You can order online and either dine in or take it to go (you can also order in person but wait might be a little longer since they cook to order). This place rocks. Carmen (Owner) is the real deal. He brings a unique twist to the local area with his chicken sandwiches, which by the way blow Chick Fila out of the water. For a 5 bucks, you get a kick butt sandwich that I yet to finish in one sitting. The fries are equally good. Better than any chain around. The Nashville Hot Chicken with cole slaw seems to be my favorite. A bit messy but spot on. The Cuban and Reuben are also respectable. Finally, try a fresh made Cannolis. They have three different toppings. Carmen and the staff are all very pleasant to deal with. Great customer service. FYI. This is carry out only. The prices are very reasonable and the chicken is pretty big! I also got seasoned fries which were delicious. Just not enough fries in my opinion. I got the Nashville hot but regular sandwich since I was worried it would be too spicy, but it wasn't bad at all! will have to try the deluxe version next time so I can taste that sauce. I've ordered from here numerous times over the years and used to be a big fan, but several of my recent experiences have been less than impressive. The prices have increased quite a bit since I first started ordering, while the portions have shrunk. This is understandable given everything that has gone on, but it's disappointing nonetheless. The service, however, remains friendly and efficient, with the staff always happy to make recommendations and answer any questions. Now, let's talk about the chicken sandwiches. While they used to be a work of art, I found that the quality of the food has decreased over time. The chicken is still seasoned well, but it's not as flavorful as it used to be. In addition to the sandwiches, Ghosted Concepts also offers a variety of sides and drinks, although the prices for these have also gone up. The fries are also well seasoned (I get them Nashville hot style), but the portions have decreased significantly. Overall, while I used to be a big fan of Ghosted Concepts, my recent experiences have been less than impressive. The food is still okay, but it's not quite on par with what I remember, and the prices have gone up while the portions have decreased. For those reasons, I cannot recommend it as highly as I used to, and now when I have a hankering for a chicken sandwich, I just go to Chick-fil-a. Beautiful little ice cream shop and restaurant. Immaculately clean and the staff is super friendly and attentive. We got a chicken sandwich combo and an Italian sandwich combo with seasoned fries. Both sandwiches were excellent-- don't forget the sauce if you get the Italian it's critical. My husband said the regular spicy chicken was in fact spicy and he was delighted. Family got takeout from here for the first time last week after hearing much about the sandwiches. We got a regular chicken shack, deluxe shack, and spicy deluxe shack - all done Nashville hot. So everything I write I also told the chef. The chicken sandwich was a good size. It is no thrills like lettuce, tomatoes or onion, but non the less I found it satisfying. I am notnsure if I could have asked for the latter to be put on my sandwich. I did not ask. The fries were cooked to perfection. When I do not need to add salt or use ketchup. To me that is abgreat French fry. The coleslawwas not overly inundated with mayo which I like, but I felt it had too much pepper. I may have misquoted the pepper when I got a taste of celery. Could the pepper have actually been too much celery seed? The menu is online, but you can order and pay in the cookies and cream shop which I was grateful for. We are so happy to have finally had a chance to try this place out! I've been following Ghosted Concepts on social media for awhile, and when we we were in the area we stopped to grab an order to take home. Our family tried the chicken and waffles, and two of the build your own Bella pasta dinners (pink sauce and butter/Parmesan). All of the food was wonderful and cooked perfectly. The kids gobbled up their pastas and my husband commented that the waffle was one of the best he'd ever had. High praise from a foodie! Bottom line: Excellent food and concept. This place is a must try if you love a good fried chicken sandwich! They also have a huuuge menu so if you're not into chicken sandwiches, they also serve quite a few other options that also taste great. First off, they can be confusing to find because it's a drive-up & carry-out place only. You place an order online and then drive past a couple places on the road it's on, make a u-turn around the buildings, and then wait behind the back doors. Call them to let them know you're there to pick up your order and they'll deliver it to your car door. There's no outdoor dining area so you'll need to find somewhere else to eat your food, although when the weather is nice there is a singular little park bench & table on the grass a little further down. I always order the spicy deluxe sandwich, which is ACTUALLY spicy and cooked really well. The coleslaw and pickles taste super fresh and compliment the greasiness to perfection. I recommend their fries which look like a small amount but it's a good portion. They sell dipping sauce for $1 but I think it's worth it because it's a big cup and they don't skimp on it! First time eating their food, I kept seeing awesome posts on the local facebook group about their food being so good and then they have great reviews on Yelp. Based on a few facebook posts, my wife and I decided to order the steak and cheese, hot chicken fries, and the spicy chicken shack sandwich. In particular one person was raving about their steak and cheese mentioning that they were from Philly and knew good steak and cheese sandwiches... but honestly we did not like it. The original cheese tastes fake and has a strange texture, steak was decent but the cheese just ruined it. My wife and I split it, I finished my half but my wife only took two bites and didn't finish the rest. I would not order that again, you can find a much better steak and cheese on the other end of downtown Haymarket. The spicy chicken shack sandwich was actually pretty good although the chicken fillet was pretty thin compared to what is pictured on their website, we were expecting a thicker sandwich. The hot chicken fries were pretty good as well but I agree with another review, the seasoning on the fries is too much with the sauces they put on the the dish, it would have been better with plain fries. Overall, with the exception of the steak and cheese (not good), we thought their food was good but not great. Wow ghosted concepts...what a cool idea for a 21st establishment eatery. The restaurant is pretty much a commercial kitchen. No extra frills no extra nonsense... Just great food. You pull up around back and pick up the food and the way you go. It is just a great way to run a business. What makes this thing so awesome is the fact that you order and it's kind of like a hidden gem. I would compared to some thing like a pop-up restaurant but instead they have awesome barbecue, burgers, and sausage ready to go. The only downside is that some of the food may be a little spicy. I'll preface this review that I had this as a Door Dash order. I ordered the steak and cheese, seasoned fries, house made ranch, and cherry limeade. Door Dash failed in a way that by the time I got my order everything was cold. I made the best out of the meal. I was not impressed by the steak and cheese. The steak was chopped with grilled onions and covered in cheese sauce. The steak was quite salty with a pepper after tone. It was salty enough that I only at 1/2 the sandwich. The fries had a good seasoned/Cajun like flavor. Unfortunately due to them being cold I couldn't fully enjoy them. The ranch was ok, it's more of a seasoned ranch vs traditional. Not pictured was the cherry limeade. It was not what I was expecting. It was a carbonated drink mixed with cherry limeade. I'm full but won't be ordering again.
