After having pastries, we continued our journey in search of coffee and finally found Ghoul Coffee Company next door. Our attention was immediately captured by the cool, ghoulish branding of this coffee truck. You will find spooky coffee names like Boo-nana bread latte, minty ghouly, and the blood moon, which add to the experience. A life size skeleton sits firmly in front of the coffee truck. Ghoul is located in a food truck park on Cesar Chavez. A 4.8 Yelp rating with 73 reviews speaks volumes. As we were walking up, you instantly noticed a line at one of the food trucks. Yep, you guessed it was Ghoul. It has a laid-back atmosphere with brightly painted picnic tables in the center of the food truck park. Interestingly, Ghoul Coffee has unusual offerings and flavor combinations you do not typically see. I asked my barista for the most popular coffee offering and she said it was the Maple Boo Butter. OMG...it blew my socks off!!! This was likely one of the best coffees I have had in Austin. It was smooth, flavorful and ice cold. Yum to the nth degree!!! Also, the service was super friendly and quick.
I ordered through door dash. One ponyo joy and a maple boo Ponyo joy had the black sesame and i usually love black sesame but I didnt like it this time round. The maple boo was great though.
Absolutely delicious coffee in a cute food truck circle. I got a vanilla latte with their brown sugar cold foam and it was perfection. Highly recommend!
This is my favorite coffee spot in Austin right now! Stopped here on a whim a couple of weeks ago and couldn't get it off my mind ever since. The Boo-nana matcha is beyond delicious, I am obsessed. The Ponyo latte is also amazing, as is the Campfire. Absolutely love everything we've tried here! They also have a great selection of pastries and are in a really lovely outdoor seating area in the food truck park
Ghoul coffee is located inside an open air food court next to the likes of the Vegan Nom and other food trucks. I've been wanting to try their coffee for a long time but every time I was in the area, I never seemed to sync with their opening hours. Finally, one day, my schedule synced with theirs! Hurray! I ordered a latte and it was... Pretty great! Balanced taste, not overly sweet, coffee was well made, it checked all the boxes. Oh, and they also have free dog treats, so if you have a dog, they'll be happy too. Bonus point for having giant skeleton. You can't go wrong with that!
Ghoul Coffee is a great trailer for anyone who loves creative coffee and tea drinks. The black sesame flavor was my favorite. They use black sesame butter (think almond butter style, not dairy butter) and it gives the drink an extra richness that you don't usually get with just syrup. My matcha latte was delicious too and not too sweet. They specialize in iced drinks and will actually tell you when something's better iced or hot, which I really appreciate. Only downside is no decaf options at the time of this review, so if coffee hits too hard, your options are matcha or chai. It's in the same lot anchored by Vegan Nom and other vegan trailers, although they do have dairy milk if you want it. And best of all, there's a decent size parking lot and street parking.

OMGHOUL!!!! I AM HOOKED, HOOKED, HOOKED! I mean let's face it, Austin has some stellar coffee joints but Ghoul has got to rank in my top 3. My absolute favorite drink is the Furusato. I have never had anything quite like it before. It's so refreshing and satisfies that need for caffeine and more. It's a latte with orange juice and vanilla cream. I tell you it is the greatest drink concoction on the planet. With that said, they have other insanely magical coffee beverages on the menu. Let's talk about the Maple Boo Butter...OMGhoul, GOOD! Maple syrup and housemade brown sugar. It's like the best southern-style dessert in liquid form, without being overly sweet and sappy...see what I did there? Sappy as in syrup. Ha. Honestly, when my family and friends come to town my first place to take them is for coffee at Ghoul.
A great coffee truck tucked away in a food truck lot. The person working the window was quick to take my order. I went with the Kracken special. TBH I don't remember the ingredients but they had me at double espresso and kracken. Let's just say, it was delicious! Definitely a great spot for a morning coffee!
I loved getting to stop by this spot. I love a good seasonal latte and their pumpkin spice latte hit the spot. It also has some cute picnic tables and the staff is so friendly.
MUST GET: The Ponyo Joy actually tastes so much like an Almond Joy bar; I'm rarely surprised by specialty lattes but this one floored me. Would have gotten two of these in a day if I could. The Minty Ghoul was also good, but tasted second to the Ponyo Joy. The black sesame butter is not as prominent as I would expect; the other flavors that it's paired with are more prominent.
Outdoor seating since it's a good truck, plenty of seats! Got the maple boo butter with oat milk latte. It was so creamy and yum. On the sweeter side which I love, but they're willing to reduce the sweetness too. Perfect place for some good coffee and unique drinks.

ghoul has such a cute vibe and the service is super friendly! their flavor combinations are really unique, and it's impressive how each component can stand out on its own while still feeling cohesive together. the ponyo joy had these roasted, sweet black sesame and coconut flavors that worked so well, and the kraken had this nutty, creamy pistachio aroma that was sooo good overall, both drinks were amazing, and i'm so excited to come back and try more of their signature creations :)) read more
Came here on a Sunday which is always a nightmare in Austin however there was plenty of parking in the lot behind the coffee truck! The service was also quick and barista was friendly and made great recommendations I got the ponyo joy half sweet and I loved it! It wasn't too sweet and I appreciated the texture with the chocolate pieces in the drink. The banana matcha was just okay. It had an artificial flavor to it. I'm interested in trying the fruit pebble matcha next time. Overall a great experience! 4 stars because it wasn't a stand out and the matcha could have been better. read more

Spooky, dark, goth, and unique offerings of super delicious coffee is my preferred aesthetic and allows me to embrace my middle-school goth self when I walk up to Ghoul Coffee. This little trailer has been my go-to for coffee whenever I am in the area especially on the weekends. Service is fast, quick, and their merch always tempts me to purchase and buy! I have had at least 4 different drinks here by choice including their Ponyo Joy, Maple Boo Butter latte, and a classic mocha and they have all knocked me down with their flavors! I looooove spots like Ghoul Coffee because coming here puts you right in the mix of other local food trucks and sometimes even an artisan market from time to time. Halloween vibes are embraced here as I am someone who loves and lives in Halloween vibes all year long and now with Ghoul Coffee in my coffee rotation I am a happy little ghoul. read more

What a cool coffee truck! But it's not just here for the spooky vibes...the drinks are really good, also (which is important and somewhat rare here in Austin). Creative and fun menu, this East Austin truck offers up delicious drinks, iced or hot. Quick and easy order-at-the-window service, located in a lot with other food trucks, this spot delivers more than just a fun, Instagram-able aesthetic. I was really excited to try their house-made black sesame butter, and it was amazing. I can't wait to revisit! QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, there is a large paid lot available or plenty of street parking in the area. - Non-coffee options? Yes, there is matcha, other teas, orange juice, and milks. DRINKS: - Ponyo Joy (5/5): I'm a huge fan of coconut and almond and chocolate, and this drink is the perfect combination of all 3, plus the yummy signature black sesame butter. Not too sweet and very flavorful! I loved it so much. - Maple Boo Butter (5/5): Basically their version of a brown sugar latte, with maple syrup as well. A lovely latte. Not too sweet! - Vanilla Matcha (3/5): A bit too sweet, like very sweet, and not matcha-y enough for my personal taste. Not the worst matcha I've had, but I probably wouldn't order this again and will stick to their signature drinks! read more

Tucked in the back of the vegan food truck park in East Austin, you'll find this gem of a coffee shop which might not have any spirits, but they definitely have plenty of Ghouls. Their iced bevs reminded me of my youth. The mint one kina tastes like Thin Mint Ghoul Scout Cookies and the almond mocha was very reminiscent of an Almond Joy. They also have an array of milk options if needed (including cow milk). P.S. Pro tip, there's a parking lot on the back side of the food truck park. read more
Ghoul is hands down my favorite sweet matcha in town. Also, they recently started selling Purply's ube cookies which come from a super sweet couple out of their ghost kitchen business and are some of my favorite cookies of all time. There seem to always be people at Ghoul but the line moves decently fast and the drinks are worth it. I'm not a coffee person but their coffees seem to be very approachable and have fun ingredients if you like a little flair or sweetness. Their vanilla matcha latte is my go-to in town. It's creamy, it's not overpowering, it lives in my head rent free. Love the team here, please support them! Also park on the street if you can to avoid the parking charges, but there is always some room depending on if you are ok to pay. read more
Ponyo joy is the absolute best I get it half sweet with a shot of espresso and it's fan-tastic. Also the staff is super friendly, once I forgot to add the shot and asked to add it after my first sip and they added it free of charge, so nice! I came on a Sunday morning around 8:30am and it wasn't super busy. I decided to go with one of their specialty drinks and ordered the iced maple boo butter with whole milk, which came out to a little over $7 including tax. I was afraid it'd be too sweet, but after trying it, I'm happy to say it's not. Service was fast and friendly so no complaints there! A small detail I appreciate is the fact that they have their logo/business printed on their cup. As someone who buys coffee decently often, most stores just give out plain plastic cups, which isn't a bad thing, but the fact that Ghoul has their logo printed on their cups (which I'm sure costs a little extra as well when ordering supplies) is a little detail that is not going unnoticed! There's plenty of good coffee to be found in Austin, but this place definitely has some uniquely delicious drinks!! We tried the Mint Ghouly and Ponyo Joy which were both super flavorful: made with quality espresso combined with some rather unusual flavors and textures that made for very fun drinks. Service was fairly quick and friendly! Would definitely recommend this place. read more

I think Ghoul Coffee recently opened because I haven't seen much from them until recently, but my friends who also love coffee really liked this coffee shop! I am always down to try new coffee places, and I happened to be in the area and needed a little caffeine boost. I'm really glad I came because the theme of the coffee truck and the drinks is SO cute. Especially during this time of the year? Halloween is definitely one of my favorite holidays. Staff is so friendly, but beware! They're very busy. It's a good thing though because it's a testament to how good their drinks are. I got their most popular latte, which was a brown sugar latte. I usually don't like more watery lattes, but I actually liked how light this one was. The sweetness wasn't overpowering, and I felt like I could drink the whole thing without feeling awful and heavy. Ghoul Coffee has 5 stars for a reason. Hands down, this is the best coffee spot in Austin--and I've tried about 20 different places so far. I originally came here because it's dog-friendly, and I love a good food truck vibe. It's located in a cozy little food park with plenty of seating, so it's a great place to just chill and enjoy a cup of coffee. The service? Phenomenal. I wish I remembered my server's name because she was so friendly and welcoming--she even pet my dog and remembered his name the next time we came back! Now, let's talk about the coffee. I ordered the Maple Boo Butter Latte, and it was everything--bold, creamy, slightly sweet, and just the right amount of rich. Probably the best latte I've had in Austin, no exaggeration. I always joke that I'm a chai connoisseur, but I do seriously love chai all that to say this chai is actually really good! It's gotta be in my top few chais in Austin so far. Their matcha is also super yummy, but we didnt taste the banana but it's ok it was still yummy. The barista was super nice and quick! Easy to park here and cute trucks. read more
Saw people raving about this place on tik tok and have been meaning to come try it out. it's in a cute little food truck park with plenty of parking and shaded seating. I got the ponyo joy and it lasted about 10 minutes, i literally finished it so fast . I loved the sesame flavor and the coconut wasn't too overpowering, my friend got the mint one and said it tasted like mint choco chip ice cream! it's a bit pricey and the menu is limited, but the quality was worth it. read more

If you're in the mood for speciality coffee then this is a must try! Parking in the back of this food truck spot makes it more accessible for a quick trip. The minty ghoul had some of the best mint coffee I've tried that was smooth and had well integrated mint flavor that tasted fresh and authentic. We also tried the furusato but didn't love the orange juice coffee flavor combo. read more

I was so excited to see a new coffee shop since my last visit to Austin, and this will now be on my list for all future visits! They are located in a cool vegan food truck park that has lots of parking in the back (especially around breakfast time)! There is a seating area in the park or the drinks are great on the go! I saw their new special on instagram called "Nightmare on Maple Street" (maple, cinnamon, honey) and also ordered a menu staple "Ponyo Joy" (coconut, toasted almond bitters, chocolate, black sesame butter). The baristas were super friendly and the drinks both tasted amazing!! I LOVE how unique the Ponyo Joy is and highly recommend it as a must-try latte for your self-guided coffee tour of Austin - you can taste and appreciate each of the flavor notes! I will definitely be back and can't wait to try more of their offerings! read more
