Stopped by with my wife because of Ethan L's review. He said it reminded him of Mr. Beefy's. High praise indeed! We had two dogs with everything. One w/peppers and one without. Very good. Fresh ingredients, very tasty and I wish I had ordered two hot dogs! My wife really enjoyed the chocolate shake too and you can get a beer here if you like. Always went here for dogs. We ordered onion rings and poppers for pickup with the hotdogs this time. We got home and the onion rings were in an oil soaked bag crunched up in a ball dripping with grease. It was as if the oil they were fried in was not nearly hot enough. The poppers were the same way. We called Chi-town dogs from home to notify them and they just said sorry. No offers of credit, replacement or anything. We wasted $11.50 for these two inedible items. Went to Chi-Town Dogs on a Friday night for a takeout order. Order a Chicken pita with onions and sauce, 2 large fries and two Gyros. Chicken pita was very good with moist chicken, fresh onions and great pita bread. The hand cuts fried here are awesome. Large order gives you a ton of fries and the taste fantastic. The gyros were very good and my only nitpick is they were a hair light on the sauce but that's not personal preference vs a shortcoming in the meal. Meat was tender and flavorful and an excellent meal. Great staff. Super friendly and great communicators. We'll definitely be back and would recommend that you give them a try if you have not been there yet. read more

Stopped in Chi Town Dogs for the first time, after driving by for years. It was around 2pm Wednesday nobody was in the place. I ordered the two hotdogs with fries and drink special, and a Gyros. The fries were excellent. The hotdogs were good even thoe they were luke warm inside not hot. and the gyro was pre sliced then fried even though they have a gyro spit which was clean and had nothing on it (especially at 2 o'clock in the afternoon). I'll give this place another try next time I'm in the area. I like fresh cut fries, after growing up with Jimmy's hot dogs in Chicago, and Gene and Jude's in River Grove. if the hotdog was hotter inside it could definitely compete with them. I actually talked to the owner about it...she's in there every morning daily to do it the right way. Cut Daily...fried once...and then re-fried when ordered....so so good!! If I am going to splurge...I want it done right!! The Chicago Dogs were perfectly steamed on poppy seed buns! My son had a shake which was really delicious...and the breaded chicken sandwich was a large piece of chicken on a brioche bun...with plenty of toppings. Very impressed...we will be back! read more

Chi-Town Dogs lived up the expectations I had of it. The Food I ordered two CS dogs with fries and a small drink. The food came out rather quickly and was certainly up to par. There isn't much you can dissect about a hot dog, when you've had a good one you know it. The fries were really good, I reached for a few more than I should have and left stuffed. The Service The service was as expected. It neither blew me away or disappointing me. I'd give them a thumbs up as far as their service goes, purely off of how quickly we received the food. Their dogs are very good, their beefs are also very good and their gyros is 10/10. The really small thin slices of onion are a nice touch. Don't miss the all you can eat boneless buffalo wings on Wednesdays for $8. My only complaints is I feel the prices are just a little high and they seem a little slow - especially around lunch time. This is me and my hubbies go to location. The food is great. The one thing that I like to get when I'm there is a gyro salad. And they can make almost anything into a salad they have a list but if you look you will see that Gyros isn't wanted things on the menu. But if you ask for it they will definitely make it for you. My husband normally gets beef and fries and occasionally with my salad you'll catch me with the onion rings. They have really good onion rings. The people there are very friendly and it can be quiet a lot of times we are there. Every time we go there is never a line. Great food and awesome prices! To feed three of us (2 adults and one kid) was under $20. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger, chili cheese dog, fries, kids meal. All were excellent and eaten all up. The fries are super yummy! The kids meal comes with a drink and instead of a cheap styrofoam cup and thin lid - you get a nice plastic cup with a substantial lid. Great, friendly service.
