Went for lunch today , first time here . Adorable little spot . Great size menu with good lunch options . All of the entrees came with soup of the day and focaccia with a side of pickled veg. I would have never found out about this place if it wasn't for an online advertisement. People, this is some seriously good food at very reasonable prices. Everything here impressed me, from the bread to the gnocchi. My dining friend was equally impressed. Located in a small strip mall, parking won't be an issue. The carrot soup was so good. We were both treated like family. They do offer specials that won't be found on the main menu. I didn't make it to dessert but i'm sure they are wonderful. The veal according to my friend was superb. We came with a party of four on a Saturday night and we ordered salmon with spinach and cream sauce with the side of vegetables. My husband ordered Veal franchade with pasta. We had a pizza with meatballs and sausage and we have an appetizer of eggplant. Rollatini and then we had a salmon plain with vegetables. Everything was cooked to order, Came out on a timely manner. A gem of a place! Immediately when you walk in, you are greeted by the servers. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area but we opted for outside since it was still nice out. Funny story, while we were perusing the menu one of the customers who just finished paying came over to our table and told us the food is incredible! He certainly did not lie!! Theresa and the team were super attentive, fast and all extremely kind. They explained the specials which all sounded delicious and in the end gave some recommendations for our next visit since we only had so much stomach real estate. There was complimentary FRESH garlic bread which is a garlic lover's dream. Our burrata salad appetizer came next. There were tomatoes, crostinis and olives to pair with the creamy burrata. Afterwards we had a complimentary cream of vegetable soup which was served in those fancy plate-looking bowls which I was excited about because I wanted soup all day. Our entrees includes Rigatoni aka Vodka and the Veal Forestiera. The pasta was perfectly al dente, hot, and had parm shavings. I was surprised to see it had a slight cheese pull when you spoon the pasta onto your plate which just made it all the more appetizing. The veal with its lemon butter white wine sauce came with a side of linguine. That lemon butter white wine sauce was amazing especially when you are alternating between that and the creamy pasta. Needless to say the veal itself was also good. Just when we finally cleaned our plates, one of the other servers mentioned that oh no he should've given us more bread to clear the sauce. We laughed because at that point we were ready to (happily) explode from the food. However. We ended up getting the tiramisu and absolutely no regrets. The Bailey's cream in it made all the difference! The tiramisu from the cake to the cream was just perfect. I used to think I didn't like tiramisu and I realized I only like GOOD ones and dang was this incredible. This dinner was simply amazing and we will definitely be back! This little neighborhood gem doesn't have an extravagant interior, just nice white table cloths, very upbeat and kind waitstaff and most of all, wonderful food! What a welcomed addition to Lighthouse Point! This quaint place is awesome! I had the chicken parmigiana ($23.00) and it was delicious and plentiful served with linguine. The sauce is fantastic and the chicken perfectly done. My wife had the eggplant parmigiana and said it was fantastic ($20.00) We started with the Caesar Salad ($14.00) shared. It is very large and shareable maybe even for three people. But before all this we were brought complimentary toasted garlic bread with diced tomato and garlic on the side. Perfect The restaurant in very small and comfy. The service was spot on and super friendly and attentive. The wine list is also great with a nice variety of Italian Chianti. We had the Chianti Classico Reserva ($46.00) that I definitely recommend if you like Chianti. Plenty of free parking and I definitely recommend it. read more

My parents and I wanted Italian (lasagna to be exact) and after looking around quite a bit for a pet friendly spot with great reviews we found this spot. Our waiters were excellent and the food was SO good. Pricing is very reasonable. The highlight was my mom saying she had "the best calamari ever": it wasn't gummy she said it melted in her mouth, nicely seasoned and the portion was good to share between 3-4 people. The lasagna was excellent and so was the gnocchi. The sauce is made in house and my dad was so impressed with it. We sat outside on the count of my dog and the vibes were lovely! This little gem has such terrific lunch specials. The Grouper Francese was very good and comes with complementary bread and soup. Oops! Forgot to take a picture. On Wednesday., January 14th my friend and I had the pleasure of enjoying an outstanding lunch at BOCCA TRATTORIA & it was a wonderful treat. Our waitress was charming & welcoming. I ordered the Chicken Marsala, a delicious choice & my friend ordered the Shrimp Parmigiana & was equally pleased. We began with an unexpected tasty light soup. I ordered my favorite wine, Sauvignon Blanc (perfect).. Our portions were just right; not too much, not too little. The prices for both entrees was a very reasonable $14.95. A perfect Italian lunch. This restaurant is for a certain type of tastebuds, to those who assume all food should be drowning in butter and cheese. The garlic bread is a thoughtful addition, but it was soaked with butter and Parmesan, really overkill. The bread itself was ok quality so it seemed to try to cover up average ingredients with enough butter and garlic. The "grilled" octopus seemed suspiciously fried and was almost too tough to eat. The balsamic glaze did not complement this tough octopus. The meatballs were excellent, as was the pomedoro sauce it came with. The grouper special was again drowned in a sauce. It seems the heavy hand in the kitchen overpowers the actual food, making it difficult to gauge the quality and freshness of ingredients. read more

Great food in a cute friendly Italian Cafe in an easy to get to location off sample road in Lighthouse Point. The evening weather was great so many families were dining outside but we choose to dine inside. Outside red and white check table cloths, inside, white and lovely fresh flowers. we brought our own wine,not a problem. While wrapping up my day of errands in Lighthouse Pointe, I used Yelp Mobile to look up my favorite type of cuisine and Rocca Trattoria came up. It's located in a strip mall with a few other restaurants so it has plenty of parking. They have both inside and outside seating, but I wanted to luxuriate in the AC. It's a family run shop, and the owner was also my hostess. My plan was to choose between a couple of Italian food tapas between a bunch of course, and started with caprese salad with prosciutto. For starters, it's almost main-course size and rich with flavor. I'm talking about a large bed of fresh greens, plenty of plum tomatoes (my favorite veggie), a creamy ball of burrata cheese all drizzled in olive oil and sweet balsamic vinegar. Add to that a nice amount of lightly salty and thinly sliced prosciutto and you can see why I didn't finish my meatball dish. Speaking of the meatballs - sprinkled with parsley and served in a light yet tasty tomato sauce - I was able to savor the juicy beef for three of them, and delaying gratification on two reheated at home the next day. The to-go portion retained the flavor and the same texture from the restaurant. Besides the rich & filling salad, I had to leave space for their chocolate profiterols. Filled with cream and covered with chocolate, these are fluffy balls of heaven for your sweet tooth. read more

Should've taken pictures, but we ordered the night's special grilled octopus on arugula and tomato spectacular! New York strip on mushroom risotto out of this world... Chicken Parm on point. Whatever the house soup was vegetable yellow creamy broth I could eat it all day every day. They gave us wonderful crispy garlic bread with Parm on deck on for the table. Had a beautiful Sauvignon Blanc from Italy and wrapped it up with cannoli and cappuccino. Theresa was our server and she was a delight. I told my fiancé I want to go back every weekend. Wanted to try this Italian restaurant with an owner chef from Sicily! The Sicilian cuisine is more comfort food versus your tradition Italian. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality food this restaurant delivers. The pasta was el Dente with the sauce perfectly seasoned that coated the noodles so the flavor was in every bite.
