Having been a huge fan of Glenn and his pizza for many years, it hurts to write this review. Our last three pizzas have been really disappointing. Ordered one in January late one night and they never showed up to deliver! Next one was cardboard tasting and NOT an extra large. The last one I ordered I was told there were five orders and deliveries ahead of me. It took a long time to show up and the pizza was cold, limp and had migrated all over the box, and tasted like cardboard. Finally decided to try this place out after seeing it often on VeganEatsNorthCounty on Instagram and am beyond disappointed. Vegan food is understandably more expensive, but $25 for a cold, greasy bland pizza and some pathetic looking garlic sticks is just unreasonable. The crust was rock hard and cheese tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for way too long. The breadsticks looked like something you'd hang up on halloween. No flavor, dripping in grease and like eating cardboard, maybe even worse. Marinara dipping sauce it came with was super watery as well. My girlfriend and I both have years of experience working in restaurants so we are very understanding of circumstances. However we walked in and stood around awkwardly while the workers in the kitchen made eye contact with us but didn't say a single word. "Hi, we'll be right with you" would have been perfect, but we were just ignored silently. Two young males came out from the kitchen in street clothes and reeking of weed, they walked right past the register and out of the restaurant not saying anything. One of the workers in the back even said "wow it really smells like weed". Was excited to try this place and had high hopes, but we will never ever be coming back. Food looks nothing like the pictures online and this was one of the worst customer service experiences ive dealt with. Don't waste your time! This was my 1st (and last) order! Was told delivery in an hour and it took an hour and a half (no fault of the delivery person) All 3 items I ordered, Steak Calzone, Mini Pan Pizza, and Stuffed Bread Sticks were TASTELESS! The Calzone was described as having a buttery garlic sauce - NO SAUCE; the bottom of the breading was burned and the top was undercooked (very doughy). The mini pan pizza crust? The only reason that they're getting a survivable amount of patrons is solely based on their location(next to Home Depot). If H.D. ever left , Gianni's would wither away in a month tops. Their food, service and overall quality is average at best, with a slight lean towards subpar. read more

We really missed the sandwiches here and agreed to give them another try in hopes that they started wearing gloves but when we called them just now for delivery, the girl that answered the phone asked me to hold when she answered, fine. I am terribly disappointed. I used to come here when I was a kid and enjoyed it very much. The pizza was great. I remembered how much I enjoyed it so I ordered a pizza last night and it was not how I remem want ber it. I ordered a think crust pizza and it was thin as paper. I couldn't believe how thin it was. I paid 2 dollars extra for thick crust and 2 dollars for an extra topping which they got wrong. I called up the owner and he didn't to let me talk. Customers are always right but not in this case in his eyes. I know I'm not the first person who will never go back there. Horrible just absolutely horrible. read more

I have never dealt with people as unprofessional as the two girls who work here. They are these two younger girls who seem like they never been trained on customer service. My husband placed an order through this third party app which is called grub hub where customers order food from any local restaurant and get it delivered to them. Three hours passed from the time he had placed the order and no sign of his food. He had to make the phone call to see what was going on. The girl over he phone said that they had called him multiple times and left voicemails... STRANGE! because he didn't receive anything but my calls to him were going thru just fine sooooo? At this point, he was frustrated so he requested a refund. The girl over the phone was so rude and said this was not an option. What???? I've never heard of such a thing. We decided to go pick up the order since of course we had already been charged for it. We came in asking for food to be made fresh again since it had been sitting there for three hours.... Well guess what?? The same girl argued with me about not being able to remake it since my husband didn't answer his phone. Seriously?? What a joke! One of the worst delivery experiences ever. Took an hour and a half for the pizza to leave the shop and another 45 minutes to arrive. Apparently the driver got lost. The food took 40 mins or longer to prepare. I had to ask twice about the calzones that I ordered. And the cashier sort of acted like they were almost ready and pretended not to just remember about the order. There were about 3 people who weren't working there that kept going into the kitchen and hanging around with the employees. The calzones were dinky and they were not made with more than scraps of thrift way meat and rotten vegetables. I was a new customer and what lead me to this place was the entertainment application. After ordering two hot subs and ready to pay for them, the girl with the black nose ring and black finger nails quickly informed me that they no longer accept the entertainment offer and that it was "too bad" as she stated that the owner stopped accepting it because it was unauthorized to be use this year. This girl was not even apologetic or had not offered to do anything to keep my business (kind of a smart ass to me) I was super pissed off and told her ok I do not want the Subs after all and that they just lost a new customer and I would be spreading the word and would not be coming back. *******HEY OWNER******, that was a very stupid move of not accepting the entertainment offer. Even if you break even and do not make any money on this transaction, you would have gained perhaps a happy customer who would spread the word of mouth with positive comments about your place. But now you lost a customer and I will never come back here because you refused service to a coupon that lured me there. Now I will spread the word that "GIANNI'S PIZZA" is the worst place to eat and (owner does not care about his customers) and the place is very filthy and dirty as I have read in most all other reviews. Go figure why your business has a 3 star rating. See how a stupid little mistake can affect your business. Went there on 2/24/15 This place needs a GOOD Cleaning. Tables dirty. Terrible seating. Servers spend most of their time on their I phones instead of cleaning tables & the floors. Pizza is ok. Would not go back. Can't understand they have an A rating. read more

I ordered a large thin crust pizza w. 4 toppings for delivery. It was partially burned on top, very dry, basically terrible. The ones you get in the store (I like Signature from Albertson's) are much better and much much cheaper. Very disappointed. Hi. We ordered thru Grub Hub. I was too tired to go pickup and too tired to cook. Spiritos is my fav but they don't deliver. Knockout did not answer the phone....so I ordered Gianni's. I had been there many years ago while shopping at Home Depot. Just got a slice. It was ok...but not used to the cornmeal dusting. They still have the cornmeal dusting....but the pizza they delivered was really good. Got pepperoni and sausage pizza and a small side salad. Pizza was almost hot. Good sauce and meat and plenty of cheese. Thin enough that I can fold it...we are from Jersey...so that is a must ! I will give them a try again. Staff was friendly. Delivered to our business within 45 minutes...wish it was sooner but perhaps they were busy. Sandwich was yummy, good bread and turkey, fresh tasting sandwich although next time I will try it toasted. Other staff had salads, looked yummy, tasted good but they preferred more chicken. Came across this place when my mom wanted Jose's two doors down. Wasn't in a Mexican food mood so I glanced at their menu and it sounded good. Ordered my sandwich to go and took in the atmosphere while I waited. It made me very nostalgic for my college days in NorCal. I like the hippie vibe going on. Didn't take long for my sandwich and I went out and shared a table with my mom. This sandwich was delicious! Best sandwich I've had in years. I ordered a turkey bacon avocado deal on white. I gave one star because I couldn't give a NEGATIVE. Just got off the phone with the OWNER of this place, and Go anywhere ELSE! I ordered pizza, it took TWO hours to get here and I had to complain to get a phone call. Then when I do, the owner wanted to argue with me about why it took TWO HOURS to get the cold pizza. After he repeatedly tried telling me that somehow I was wrong for being upset he continued to try to insult me. I laughed in this guy's face. Look at thief reviews! This has been my go-to pizza place for years. It's a relaxing hippy-ish pizzeria with great grub and tasty beers. I'm eternally thankful that there isn't a TV playing depressing news while I'm trying to enjoy my food. Their prices are good too. I just ordered a pizza from them a few minutes ago. Giannis is definitely nothing special. Very cool store and friendly service. Cool memories all over the place and I'm sure if I had been out drinking all day the pizza would have tasted amazing. But, I just needed a quick snack with my kids and stopped in during off hours and had the greasiest pizza I may have ever had. The theme of Gianni's Pizza is interesting because the theme feels between the 70 & 80's. The have four different sizes of pizza which is good because the small size will work for one or two people, while the bigger size will work for a group of four. I love this pizza place! The pizza reminds me of the east coast where I'm from in Pittsburgh pa. I love the specials! You get a great deal for $5 or $6.
