So I'm sitting here chowing down my pasta, finding myself so shocked and disappointed that the average rating is 3.5 stars. I had to come and defend Gianni's. Have you been here?! This place is amazing. First off, if you're looking for Domino's style pizza, this may not be what you're looking for. But, if you're looking for a place run by a caring owner who has really put his heart and soul into every menu item--caring so much that he literally flew his staff to Italy to train and make *authentic* pies--this place is for you. Its modest, hole-in-the-wall vibes playfully pay an homage to the Grateful Dead through the dancing bears and art on the wall. There's a tiny but mighty selection of good beers, too. One thing they pride themselves on is vegan-friendly options, and they truly excel here. Their meat options are just as great, and let me say their gluten-free crust is literally unmatched (not dead, lifeless, or crumbling the way many are). And you don't have to feel bad about having dietary restrictions or allergies! They are so flexible and will work with you. *chef's kiss* They use clean ingredients--i want to say they're mostly, if not totally, organic, too. Trust me, the quality and attention to detail really shines through in the flavor combinations and precision when cooking. They'll try funky flavor combinations and even have a whole section of the menu dedicated to the not-so-mainstream options. I've tried a good handful of menu items but a few favorites: -getting figgy with it (pizza) -naked hippie pasta with meatballs (the vegan meatballs are amazing too!) -my husband is a really big fan of their calzones, too. TLDR; if you're looking for a cozy local hole-in-the-wall spot that uses fresh ingredients, is gluten and vegan-friendly but also fine for meat-eaters (and really, just pizza-lovers in general) try this place. The best vegan pizza I've ever had! Or should I say the best pizza I've ever had! This place was amazing and has tons of vegans options. Definitely a hole in the wall but when you walk in there's tons to look at, they even have beer on tap. The pizza was incredible, I had the bbq chicken pizza made vegan and it was better than regular chicken pizza! The flavor was outstanding, the vegan ranch was so delicious and the crust was perfectly seasoned. I didn't get any pics because we ate it so fast. I can not wait to come back and try more. Gianni's is mine and my husband's favorite pizza place. Their food is ALWAYS good and they have so many vegan options to choose from. The gluten free crust isn't my go-to but I have tried it and it tastes exactly the same as the regular crust in my opinion and when my parents were in town my mom who has celiac disease tried the GF pizza and was amazed. She hasn't tried a gluten free pizza this good in many years. The reason I have it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's not the cleanest restaurant. The vibes are great though, it really feels like that cute small business that has a personality. It's just the wood tables feel like they have years of grime caked on them and I once had a smooshed dead spider on the inside of my cup which I didn't realize was there until I was about 1/3 of the way through my drink (they poured it out and gave me a new glass). I'm not really opposed to this level of uncleanliness which is why I'll keep going back time and time again, it's just something the business could keep in mind. read more

Had a lunch date with my hubby and we will definitely be going back and taking the kids. We got a vegan pizza but substituted the meats for actual meat (we can't have dairy and the vegan pizzas had some seriously tasty options) and the Jughead sandwich on sourdough with no cheeses. I love sandwiches, like, really love them. This was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. Bread was delicious and was packed with meats and veggies. The pizza so so soooo good! The vegan cheese is some of the best I've ever tasted, loaded with yummy toppings, and the dough was so flavorful and the texture was perfect. Looks can be VERY deceiving is what I can say about this place. Do yourself a favor and get pizza at Costco, or better yet, get yourself a frozen pizza and bake it at home. The pizza is just awful. I had a personal pan pizza and my husband had the pizza-by-the-slice and we both felt like we were eating cardboard with an itty bitty amount of sauce and a light layer of cheese. You'd think the toppings would make up for it but no. We were given an estimated amount of time to receive our pizza in 15 minutes but we got it in 30. And normally, I am patient enough to wait on quality food but like I said, we were better off buying a frozen pizza and baking it at home. I'm always on the hunt for a place nearby to feed my family and friends on restricted diets, so I appreciated her conscientious responses. Very small, clean looking, simple menu eatery with delicious crust that is made the old fashioned way. Yummy croutons on the salad. Those were a nice touch, and made in house out of their fresh ciabatta. I left with a menu and intent to return. We are so impressed with the vegan options. Every one of the pizzas we have tried has bn incredibly good. We are going to attempt work our way thru all of them. The vegan salad with balsamic dressing was not as tasty and I'm not sure why but I probably will not order it again. This place is horrible. Customer service is terrible. Theres college girls working here drinking on the job and the products they sell are terrible. I'm still disappointed this place isn't open on Mondays. We'd bring them a ton of monthly business if they were, however, I am once in a while able to get here (three times now with small groups), and I've been happy with the vegan menu, so far. I LOVE the calzones I've tried, but was not impressed with the chicken pickle sandwich. Seems like the cheese didn't meld well with the other flavors involved. There are plenty of other things to try, so no biggie. I wish they offered vegan pizza by the slice, but I understand why they don't. We'll be coming here again. read more

I have a gluten allergy (Celiac disease) and oftentimes it's hard to find a good gluten free pizza. Not to mention that 95% of places that offer gluten free crust pizzas only come in the small size of 10" which is annoying at times because I want the normalcy of having a regular size pizza. I tried Giannis pizza for the first time a few days ago and I thoroughly enjoyed my gluten free pizza! The main reason I ended up trying Gianni's pizza was because they stood out! They dont limit gluten free crust to only 10" pizzas like most places do. The team that prepared my pizza did an amazing job because my pizza was loaded with all the toppings I wanted :D It was great quality pizza and the fact that its gluten free = a very happy me and more visits from my behalf. read more

I'm sad to leave a low rating because I appreciate their vegan options and I used to really enjoy this place but recently their quality and service has gone down greatly ): I ordered a Vegan Pepperoni calzone which on the menu says it comes with Vegan pepperoni, Artichoke, Red onion, Portobellos, Vegan cheese.. However, when I received my calzone it was very soup like in the middle, I couldn't eat it properly because it was soggy and it was also very small compared to their usual calzone, and I honestly wasn't gonna complain until it was also missing the artichoke and the vegan pepperoni! ): I went back inside to let them know I thought there might have been a mistake but the boy behind the counter told me he made the calzone himself and knew for a fact it was made correctly. I then tried to show him the calzone and he laughed at me ( he did not look at the calzone) insisting that the calzone was done correct, then offered to make me a new one, even asked if I wanted 2 for an odd reason, I only ordered 1. The new calzone was completely different! The size was almost double , it wasn't soupy this time it was burnt on the top, and very very SALTY, but this time they got all of the toppings inside! This will probably be my last visit to Giannis Pizza for a while as the last few pizzas I bought before this incident were also soggy and unable to eat properly which is very disappointing because this was my go to place for pizza not even a year ago! read more

Legit dough!!! Owner makes everything fresh daily. Got there when ciabatta was being pulled out and ordered a fresh sandwich. Ingredients are high quality. I can tell owner takes pride in his craft. Got a pizza to go as well for family dinner. Pizza is NY style. Crunchy crust, tangy sauce and real mootz. Reminder me of growing up on east coast. Did I mention prices are like 1990's. I loved the very light crispy crust, sauce was great and somehow the crust was crispy but soft on the inside. I REALLY wanted to like this place! It was my first time trying it, but I don't know that I'll go back for a few of reasons. 1. The side or ranch I got tasted like spoiled milk. It wasn't (accidentally) bleu cheese because I actually like bleu cheese! This just tasted spoiled. 2. The pizza crust (without the toppings) was GREAT. Crispy and delish, but the rest of pizza that supported the toppings was really soggy/mushy. I'm a big fan of NY pizza, so I understand that its typically thin, foldable and "floppier", but this was all of those + strangely seemed uncooked. 3. The thing that really did it for me, which I should've addressed while I was there but didn't... After the employee at the front helped the customer in front of me (i.e. checked him out touching his card, the device/register, other items), she then put my salad together, grabbing the ingredients from the bins with her bare hands... without washing them. Pandemic or not, it's just not sanitary nor okay. I'm really disappointed! I do love all of the options they have for vegans and the funky vibe. However, for the aforementioned reasons, I likely won't be back. :( read more
