Giant burger is a small town burger dive. Their meat is thick and hand formed, they even have a double patty burger the whole burger would be 6" tall!! My only suggestion would be; use fresh potatoes, don't overcook them and salt them just after frying. The service is great, it has had the same owner for years. Ordered food today over the phone to go. Food was just okay.. got there to pay and there were $10 worth of upcharges on 3 "meals". I did do some so I expected some however.. there was 3 upcharges at .90 each because the price of meat went up they said!! So cheese, $1.09 upcharge each, ranch $1.09 upcharge each .. so for 3 cheeseburger meals it was over $50 out the door. I told them you cannot charge extra money for the meat when you already quote one price online etc. They said there was a sign in the window; but that didn't help lol for a phone or online order lol. I love the burgers at this place but their closing hours are all screwed up. If they close at 7, they stop in dining at 6:15. They also close the doors at about 6:30. Same if they close at 8:00 they make sure no one dines in 30/45 mins before closing. Their dining room is not that big. So if you go there at night make sure it's an hour before close. Here's my beef...the burgers look amazing and are flavorful but and it's a huge but...the buns are hard on the outside....brick hard and I had to inquire as to why the buns were so hard...the young lady indicated that they put them on the grill...ok...But the outside? Tops and bottoms? The insides weren't at all toasted. The fries and tots arrived lukewarm...not at all hot. Super disappointing... The cheeseburgers are DELICIOUS!!! The meat is tender, juicy, flavorful and the perfect thickness. I get mine with tomatoes, pickles and onions which are nice big fresh slices. The buns are good too. It's not often that you run across a great burger that's been around as long as Giant Burger has been. Especially since it was out in the country for 20+ years before she housing boom hit Rhome. Most places fold or change ownership every few years. Mason is the nicest guy and has owned it since he opened it. It's just been remolded inside with fresh paint and lots of new stuff because a trucker decided to run his semi into the side of the building this summer. We stopped by for lunch and early at that. You better beat the lunch crowd or it's a little wait. They cook everything to order there. That's one of the reason everything tastes so good. Fresh and cooked to order. I paid $15 for a burger, fries and drink. That's one GIANT hamburger patty too. About the same price as a fast food burger that's got a nasty hockey puck for a burger patty. So much flavor in each bite and they use fresh veggies on the burger. Even the bun is so good and not too thick. Don't forget the fries. They're even big but great taste. I went here the other day and ordered double cheese burger and tots and and extra order of tots and paid over 25.00 for this surcharge for each burger and up charge for cheese and up charge for tots for substitution of fries and when ordering this I wasn't told that this would be happening and I called to do a take out order. It would of been nice to have given a heads up and the price while on the call so I could say no thank you and go on my merry way to somewhere else where I wouldn't pay this much. This place is a joke. I posted their stated business hours. Our party arrived at 8:30 PM last night. According to the times of service, they were supposed to be open till 9 PM. I found the doors locked, and I could see through the doors seven or eight employees meandering around and simply fucking off . They were giving me a hand, motions, and gestures that they were closed. The employees were obviously the derelict of society who essentially we're just waiting on the next government a check . The food is good and fresh. If you order the jalapeño poppers and want ranch make sure you order it with your order. I didn't know and went back for a side of ranch and couldn't get it because they also have a minimum for card purchases so I would have needed to buy $5 worth of ranch. read more

I ordered a cheeseburger everything on it with mustard. I got meat cheese one pickle one thin sliced tomato three or four small pieces of lettuce. The person taking the order looked like she heated beaning there the cooks looked like stoners and might just put something in your food that shouldn't be there. I eat some of the meat and fries. This place is connected to the Big Z Travel center down the street from the Rhome police department. Overall service was great, polite and quick while the restaurant itself was clean and organized. I ordered the Specialty Giant Burger with fries which came out to be around $10.81. The burgers are made to order so even after bringing it home the burger was nice and hot. The burger itself is on thick toasted bread with a thick burger patty, melted Swiss cheese, along with sauteed onions and mushrooms. The sauteed mushrooms and onions were lightly salted but the burger patty itself was not seasoned at all so that was a HUGE let down. With no actual condiments or veggies the burger was really bland and even with the addition of hot sauce at home it was still very very bland. The fries were plentiful and unexpectantly good... at first while eating them with the burger they were a let down but after completing the burger and downing some water they are really munch worthy. Crunchy and although unsalted, they have that delicious fry taste. Overall you should try this place but get the burgers with veggies and not the Specialty Giant Burger unless you want a bland burger. read more
