    Our cake

This review is for the bakery department - The cake decorator currently working there is the best. I showed her my inspiration picture and she was upfront with what can and cannot be done if we used whipped cream instead of buttercreme, told me the cost of adding fruits, and she showed me the colors they had and said she would do her best when I asked for certain pastel colors. The cake turned out amazing with pastel colors and roses just like my kid wanted and it tasted good too. As long as this cake decorator works here, I have found my new go to place for cakes. This half sheet cake cost $53.99 with fresh fruits and whipped cream instead of butter creme.

I really like this location. It is large, clean, and well organized. They have a good variety of specialty items as well, including a special health foods section. Customer Service desk was efficient and friendly for a large gift card purchase I needed to make. I also appreciate the information they had posted at the gift card kiosk/display to warn people about fraud and scam attempts. I haven't seen this at other stores and appreciate the effort to keep their community informed and safe. Always a pleasure shopping here :)

Anemic looking chicken. So dry that sauce couldn't even help. Got stuck in everyone's throat. Definitively one of the worst I've had.

On the TV above Customer Service, there was a coupon for $25 off your first order of $50 as an Amazon Prime member. I scanned it and successfully added it to my Amazon account. See the Tips at the bottom for more info on how to Return items. The store is smaller with the aisles more narrow than normal. With the people shopping for others with their big carts and restockers, it took some maneuvers to get down the aisles. The produce looked fresh enough and shelves were stocked on a Thursday evening at 5:30 pm. On Jan 22, I picked up on sale eggs with a sell by date of Jan 29 and regular price guacamole with Feb 8. I look at dates for the first and items farther back, and it seemed that those were the longest dates I could get, so sell by dates seemed to allow less time than some other stores. I picked up mostly items from the shelves that I tried to find on sale. I noticed a smaller selection of brands in the toilet paper and other areas. Example of price differences: Idahoan instant mashed potatoes 4 oz - $1.00 at Amazon Fresh; $1.89 Giant; $1.27 Walmart. 8 oz for $2.50 Amazon Fresh, $3.69 Giant, $2.82 Walmart - yes, it was .50 cheaper to buy two 4 oz bags at Amazon Fresh. With it being a small store, the long line for self check-out with the staffed checkout line was one. I almost walked out and left my cart due the number of people in line and needing to be somewhere else in 15 minutes, but most seemed to migrate to self checkout, and another staffed checkout line was opened, so I was able to buy my groceries in time. For my three bags of groceries, it came to about $75, but I got $11 off - so $64 which was about $20 - $30 less than when I buy three bags of groceries at Giant. I entered my phone number which got me the sale price but I was NOT able to get the $25 off the $50 first order, since I didn't have time to download, install, and login into the Amazon app at checkout. I didn't have my Amazon card with me, I thought there would be some QR wallet code within the Amazon website somewhere but NO. Tips: 1. Install and login to the Amazon app BEFORE you come. 2. If it is your first time shopping, go to Customer Service and wait and see if there is a coupon on the TV screen that you can take a picture of for additional savings. 3. You can look up the store and see the in-store deals. 4. Bring your Amazon credit card just in case. 5. Amazon Prime members, get $10 off their first Amazon Fresh store purchase of $50+. After that, they get $10 off every monthly on a $100+ purchase only in the stores. YOu need to clip the virtual coupon on the Amazon Fresh site, and it expires. 6. When you enter, the Return area is at Customer Service to the right. It can get crowded with people coming to get their groceries and carts getting wheeled out while you are standing in the line. There is a self serve kiosk where you scan your return QR code against the small screen below. I wasn't able to get it to scan and got help. A label prints from below. If you don't have a bag, there are bags to put your item in then affix the label. A large mailbox style drawer opens to put your package inside, then locks after you close it. Overall, the produce and shelves were stocked fine for me to pick up the staples I wanted and better prices than other grocery stores. Dodging around the big carts with the shoppers who were shopping for others and other shoppers even not crowded made it less enjoyable but for the savings on staples, I might come back periodically and even try the Dash cart next time.

The shelves are barely stocked, no matter when you shop. Help is non existent...it seems this store main priority is Pick up / delivery orders... You ask them a question and they get annoyed like your asking for a dollar. Produce is poor quality or out of stock. Cashiers ?? Crickets. Expect to do self check out. Customer Service dept ... will make you wait... they are too busy scanning and doing online orders.. There's no shopping carts because they are outside in the cart corral, spilling onto the parking lot. Im certain other locations are better.

But, I was really close to this store on Copley Place and decided to pop in. For me, this location was a bit confusing. I am sure if I shopped here more often I would probably get used to the aisles and grocery items. The people who work there were as nice as could be. They pointed me in the right direction and one person, even walked me over to the aisle I was looking for. Unfortunately, this store was out of both items I was shopping for. I did find a few things I needed. But, as I came up to the counter, I saw the cherry tomatoes that I picked up, were rotting at the bottom. So, I gave them back to the person working there. I hate to compare, but I really don't think this store is as clean as the one I usually shop at. So, given that they were out of stock for the items I usually buy and the item I picked up was spoiled. I probably won't be coming back to this Harris Teeter. It is such a shame, because my last review, was 10 years ago, but they had such promise.

Some were good, others were just okay. Here is what I got: CHINESE BROCCOLI - some were long, and others seemed like they were already cut short. I don't know if that is how it is normally sold. Goya PLANTAIN CHIPS - the chips were light overall, but slightly salty. I still enjoyed it. 80% COCONUT WATER WITH PULP - I enjoyed this, but I am not sure I would get it again. I couldn't find a brand on the can and some of the wording said to chill before drinking, but yet it was stocked on a shelf. I may just stick to a brand I know, next time. I also got another juice - Mogu Mogu LYCHEE JUICE with bits of the fruit in the drink, but found that the lychee bits were going down my throat quicker than I had a chance to eat them (not sure I'll get that again even though I enjoyed the drink). BUTTER CREAM BREAD - even though I liked this, it was not as soft. I got one or two other items, but I'll probably get them elsewhere next time due to the high price. Overall, I saw so many flavors and varieties of things. The place stayed busy. I would probably go back again, but with the same friend, and maybe pay more attention to details.
