IMPERIAL BEACH Ca Sold Wrong Pizza spoke to the owner Alex. he said he would replace it called the next day several times from two different phones... the following day because I thought they were ignoring my phone number. I believed it was going to be a SIMPLE TRANSACTION. Just picking up the pizza that was going to replace the wrong PIZZA. Received. No answers from either number they actually have two telephones numbers to their establishment called both called from my two different numbers android and iPhone no answer. Today he is upset with me because he says he never received a call for me. I don't know if he confused it with the household initial order telephone number which was different from my numbers. But there was no reason for him to be rude. I've worked in customer service all my life helping people find jobs counseling to upgrade their skills, disabled,ex offenders, military, low income and also dealt with unemployment insurance. I recently retired. I am 72 years old honestly, I've never heard anybody so rude. Maybe he's tired or had a bad day but an owner should know better when dealing with customers only trying to receive fairness in their purchases, I do believe even though they've made mistakes in the past their food has been acceptable but then again, I've had the Palm Ave Giant king PIZZA, and they were great also especially their customer service. I've been a customer of Giant King PIZZA since 1986 at the employment development department on 61st and Imperial, I used to go to the Giant King PIZZA off of division in National city they were fantastic! I will update if there are any good changes I pray Alex understands I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just trying to be fair and informative. read more

The only thing I can really comment on is the food. My friend ordered takeout and picked it up. Everything was still warm when it arrived, and the salad was nice and fresh. The pasta was a bit heavy and quite garlicky, but still enjoyable. The house creamy Caesar dressing was excellent. The meatballs were flavorful and nicely tender, not overly dense. We've been ordering from GPK for 7 years. Birthday parties, pizza Fridays, you name it. After today we will be ordering somewhere else. Ordered a half the works pizza and half pepperoni and was charged $42, without tax and tip. Final charge was $53. My husband realized and went in thinking this was an error and was told "oh no we charge for the full the works even if you order half". IN THIS ECONOMY? Got a Groupon. So ya know.. here we go. You know what you sign up for. Never going to be great. Always a 2 star. Maybe a 3. What this place was, was exactly that. I called to place the order. The person who answered didn't seem to know the menu. Which fair enough. I've worked at my job for 2 years and still barely know what we do. But they had to put me on hold several times to ask others simple questions like "can I have double pepperoni" which was annoying. Finally I landed on the hot honey large pizza with 10 wings and 2 liter of soda combo deal. With the Groupon, it came out to be 22 bucks. And I saved about 14 bucks. The pickup was smooth. Showed the Groupon. Was ready in about 20 minutes. Easy to spot. Enough parking spots. Inside the place wasn't spectacular. Couple places to sit. Find it more of a pick up and go place. Was met with a smile. The food was like I said. A 2.5 out of 5. Not life changing. Would not be going back again. Even with a Groupon. I like my pizza greasy. It was a decent amount of it. We were in town and didn't really want to drive out so we used one of those food apps to order food. After cross referencing places via Yelp and the app, we stumbled upon this place. It had good reviews plus there was a discount. We ordered a basic Pepperoni pizza along with the Garlic Cheese Bread. Everything was amazing. The pizza was hot and had a great taste. They definitely did a great job at this one. The garlic cheese bread was also splendid. Great taste and a great garlic kick. The efficiency and quick delivery made me give a whole other star to my review. When I am back on town, I definitely would not mind ordering from here again. This is my go-to place to order pizza from to pick up when I am heading home from work. I am able to order through the Slice app and schedule my order for later. I specifically want to thank the young lady cashier who took my order when I was there , great customer service & very sweet . There are a lot of Giant Pizza King's in the area but for some reason this one is always the go too. Can never go wrong with their Queen size deal that comes with a 2 litter of soda. Plus the garlic butter sauce they put on the crust when it is freshly out the oven makes me want to eat only the crusts! Staff is always friendly whenever I come in to pick up my pizza. Love this place! We ordered a large greek salad, giant pepperoni pizza, large cheese pizza, large veggie pizza, and a large sausage pineapple. They make amazing quality pizza here. Pizza is always really good. Only problem we had is that their website sends you to an app called Slice for ordering. They apparently don't want you to use the app, so why is there a link to it on their site? The delivery driver from Slice never showed so we had to pick up the order.
