My guy drove back to have it remade and was told no, by a bitter angry female manager who was rude and hostile. The manager refused to correct the problem by adding mayo, proclaiming she couldn't do that and she was the manager. And refused to give him Onions to help make it less dry.... I normally order online and pick up because the line can be sooo long at this location. Came in this afternoon for a sandwich. Ended up ordering the club sandwich and got the peppered ham. I really prefer the pepper him over the regular ham. It's not like prosciutto it's been slightly different. Three employees look up from their phones and the fourth, the one who talks to me, is trying to sweep up a mess of stuff on the floor. Why wouldn't I? But there's a reason we call an order in ahead of time... so that we don't have to wait. Two of the male employees look up from their phones at her, then at me, then at her, then back at their phones. Then, a third female calls me TJ and tells me she'll ring me up while the other sandwich is made. I ask for a military discount, and it's given, but there's no offer for an actual discount for selling me a sandwich without all the meat and on bread I don't really want. Terrible customer service. However, a comment that the girl in charge made today was shocking, and this is a PSA for anyone who orders online. I placed an order online at 4:30pm with a pick up time at 4:45pm (per the email confirmation). I show up around 4:50pm, there's a line and our sandwiches weren't made yet. No big deal. I left and went to get gas around the block. I came back, sandwiches still hadn't been started, and many people in the line already got their food and left. I asked the girl in charge if in store customers get priority over online orders and her response was YES to get them out faster.... lol WHAT!!!!! My sandwiches started getting made around 5:25pm! We have loved this location in the past, but the past few times have been so very disappointing to say the least. On our most recent visit, Tuesday Feb 7th, around 7pm, my husband and I went there and the gal making our sandwiches didn't wash her hands, and then she was cutting the bread, and she was pushing the bread against her dirty apron, while cutting through the bread with the knife moving toward her stomach. My husband asked her to please get him new bread, and to please not rub it against her apron, she ignored him. He asked again and she seemed angry and went and got another gal to help us. We explained to this gal that this is not within health code to rub the bread against a dirty apron. She assured us that Jersey Mike's corporate trains them this way and that this is what they all do. I cannot believe this is true, at least I hope not. I have owned two restaurants, and health code would not permit this. PLEASE train your staff at this location about health code, and also about how to be thoughtful when a customer asks for clean bread. We are seeing quite a few health violations at this location at night, please train the staff here properly, we really do love Jersey Mike's and want to continue coming here for dinner. Avianna is the rudest, most unprofessional and incompetent employee at this location. She never greets us when we walk in, regardless of how busy or empty it is in the store. On multiple occasions, she has stopped what she was doing (even if it is standing and chatting with her friends or talking to her boyfriend who visits her at work to get free sandwiches), stared at us with contempt, then turned away WITHOUT ACKNOWLEDGING US. On those same occasions, we have witnessed as she has made sure to immediately welcome and greet several other guests who walk into the restaurant, without even having to turn to look at the door. She is intentionally ignoring us and refusing to greet us upon arrival and throughout the duration of our time in the store. She speaks to us with disdain and a malice that she cannot hide in her voice and facial expressions. She also refused to give us napkins for our online pickup order despite our polite request. I have no idea why she has a personal vendetta against us. Is it because we are Asian? Or does she hate loyal customers who support this company on a daily basis? I sincerely hope that she receives proper training to address this unacceptable behavior and learns how to treat ALL customers with basic respect, not just the ones she selectively caters to. She also has multiple nose piercings but does not wear a mask, which we were told was the company policy. Moreover, she has handled subs without wearing a hat or hair net, which has unfortunately resulted in my sister finding hairs in her sandwiches on multiple occasions.
