I somehow must be living under a rock because apparently this brand of cookies is super popular and I now get the hype. I was told that if you go to the location in Disney Springs that there's always a super long line but thankfully at this location, there was no line at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The set up is very cute in East End market and it's super yummy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the banana bread chocolate chip and a limited edition one. All so great, but I especially loved the banana bread one. The cookies are huge and so delicious. Will definitely get more if I'm back in town.

We came to Easton market for other things, but had to stop at Gideon's for a cookie. We did not eat it on the spot, but ended up bringing it home and heating it up. The cookie was delicious - soft & chocolatey. The staff was quick to get our order at the establishment and there was a line behind us indicating it was a popular choice. Looking forward to trying more options and potentially their cake next time.

If you're looking for a rich indulgent cookie, head to Gideon's but be warned the lines can be super long. When I came to Disney Springs two years ago, I skipped Gideon's as the line was wrapped around a couple corners. This year, I was able to finally try them as the line was only to the end of the block. The line moves quickly which was nice but it ended up being about 20 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is very interesting and slightly creepy - it's giving Tim Burton.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Things to know: 1) at the end of the line, there's a staff member with the menu that you can keep, 2) they limited it to 8 cookies per person, 3) there's a morning and an evening special cookie that runs out and is not remade, 4) there's also cakes and coffee drinks, and 5) there's trading cards if you order a 6 pack. The cookies are about 1.5 inches thick and are soft and chewy. I would say they are on par with levain in nyc and would definitely stop by if the line was less than 30 minutes.

This place has been on my list for AGES!!! we were finally close to Orlando after coming back from our cruise so we stopped by. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is the cutest little place and it's definitely giving Harry Potter vibes. I loved all of the decorations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got there when they opened and we're greeted promptly. It is no secret that Gideons is viral. We tried to go at Disney Springs a few days before but the line just to join the line was outrageous so we skipped it. Instead we went to the East End Market location which was a much better experience in my opinion. We got there around opening on a Thursday morning. There were a few people ahead of us but it only took about five minutes to get through the line. Much more manageable and way less stressful. We ordered four cookies. Two were limited edition which were the cookies and cream and the coffee cake. We also got the original chocolate chip and the pistachio toffee. Everything came out to about $28-30 with tip. Overall I think it is a great cookie. They are certainly dense in a sense but don't taste too indulgent. I do not know if it fully lives up to the hype which is where they lose a star. Still a fun experience and I wish them all the best. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would like to know that there isn't any seating at this location. However, there are a lot of benches that exists right outside the market.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I feel like this was probably the best cookie I ever had. I'm a huge cookie lover and when I heard about this place, I had to try it out! There was a line out the door on a Sunday afternoon but it moved quickly and I was too excited to really notice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place itself has such a Cool vibe. Old books and decor. Reminded me of like St. Augustine or New Orleans vibes. Loved it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The employee was kind and knowledgeable on the products. I've had Gideon's many a time over the years- as gifts. Finally. It was my turn. On the rainy day I happened to be in Disney Springs, I saw the line- for the first time- a reasonable length. After our *unusually* fast wait, I finally entered the world of Gideon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was spookier than I anticipated but still so amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My only complaint was their options of cookies. They have a good variety, but traditional of a bake house, they change. Alas, my trip to Gideon's was long awaited and very enjoyed.

Hands down best cookies in town, but they need to keep their game up as SummerHouse has a few good ones too. I'm normally instantly greeted and they answer all my questions. This is Orlando's gothic cookie company with the hugest cult following, though I'm not sure if non-Disney and non-Orlando people know much about them. This location is housed inside some small food hall type of building, and I was a bit surprised to see no one in line. Now I will say that I was pretty underwhelmed by these cookies, but as you can see, I had to wait a couple of days to eat the original chocolate chip, so I'm willing to give them another try. Another blunder was that the employee got my order wrong, even though she repeated the flavors I wanted properly. So, she ended up inserting a flavor that I did not want or like at all. If I'm buying expensive cookies, I feel like you should at least get my flavors right. The cookies didn't taste very buttery to me. They almost tasted like a mouthful of hardened dough and sugar. I surprisingly enjoyed the peanut butter crunch the most, though I wonder if it's because I ate that one very soon after receiving it (though none of them were warm). I had to wait an extra half day before eating the other ones, since I bought them right before my flight back home. I don't think half a day should have that much effect on the degradation of a cookie. I do appreciate how cool they look in the box, and how carefully wrapped and designed they are. You also get some Tim Burton art style trading cards with your purchase! They were neat souvenirs, so I'll hopefully have a better experience next time.

Came here to grab a cookie on my way to an event and grabbed a chocolate chip for my husband and I wanted to get the limited edition chocolate covered cookie bits in peanut butter but they only had pecan, so I got that one. The worker said the flavors for that are whatever the warehouse has, but I might be able to pre-order so I'll look into that for next time. Another nice visit!

Time after time Gideon's Bakehouse keeps making amazing cookies!!! I love this original Gideon's location located inside East End Market. The cookies are HUGE and loaded with chocolate chips. They always have a limited edition cookie on the menu and I always love to see what it is. This week it is Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl and I cannot wait to see how it tastes. The cookies are large and make for the perfect treat to spread out over a day or two!! Don't skip out on these sweet treats!

Craving a good cookie? There is no other place to get your cookie fix. I've been visiting here for years and love trying all the new flavors for the different holidays. This shop is located inside the East End Market, and while at times the parking can get pretty crazy, persevere because it's worth it. There is a line that starts at the front counter and goes around the corner and out the side door to the building if need be. Just know that certain cookies do sell out. Over the Halloween season I really enjoyed the Frankenstein cookie and Bride of Frankenstein. The Frankenstein cookie was like double chocolate and the Bride of Frankenstein is the blonde version. You also can never go wrong with the OG chocolate chip cookie. These cookies are huge and worth the cost. Something good to nibble on over the course of a couple days. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also appreciate the aesthetic. The library feel plus the merch being sold like yummy smelling candles.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Can't say enough about how good these cookies are. They are INCREDIBLE! I never thought I would stand in line for 45 minutes for a cookies, but I did, and was not disappointed. I hear you can call ahead with a minimum order, but these cookies are something truly special. They are really rich and you probably can't eat a whole cookie is a single sitting. read more

I found this place on Yelp and it was on my list of places to go...we went straight from the airport I really did enjoy the cookie! I got the chocolate chip. I wish there was more cookie and less chocolate chips inside...but still amazing! Would totally recommend!! Try to go early Bc they run out of things by the end of the day. read more

I pre-ordered 6 mixed cookies for collection as I wasn't planning on being around until later in the afternoon and didn't want to run the risk of missing out on the flavours; I'm so pleased I did! Cookies were huge and perfect for sharing. Favourite flavours in the group were pistachio toffee and the cookie flavoured one. So awesome; can't wait to come back and see what else they have to offer! Two days later they still taste great. :) read more

Gideon's was first recommended to me by a coworker that just moved to Orlando and I had been here for several years and never knew about it. They have the best cookies I've ever eaten. I'm a classic kind of guy so the chocolate chip is to die for. The cookies are very thick with a sprinkle of sea salt on the top. Because of their size it's almost like they aren't cooked all the way through which makes it even more awesome. Because of how awesome they are they do sell out fast which thankfully they update the Instagram page letting you know so. Parking can be kind of a pain as I've had to park down the street and walk to it. It took me a minute to find it as it's located in the East End Market. It's definitely my favorite cookies ever and I often frequent there to treat myself. read more

This place is so cute! The market place is so trendy. I was greeted by a friendly cashier who informed me about the cookies and made fresh conversation. The cookies themselves are unlike anything I've ever tried. They are pure Chocolate but hey nothing wrong with that! They are delicious but really overpowering so i recommend splitting one with someone :) but overall really yummy read more

The cookies are just absolutely delicious! So soft and it just melts in your mouth. The only downside to this place is that there is only a small table/barstools to sit at. There is plenty of outdoor seating though! This shop is just one of many little places in this sort of marketplace with lots of goodies. Flavors sell out quickly so try and go early! All in all definitely worth the drive! read more

They make amazing cookies. With gaining popularity their operations are becoming annoying. They often sell out of popular flavors within the first couple hours of opening. Have to wait in long lines with the hopes of obtaining any of the specialty slices or cookies. They should look at their sales and adjust production accordingly. read more

The cookies are the best- large, flavorful, creative and just plain awesome. There was a slight error that had me leave with less cookies than I paid for- but they reached out to me to correct the problem before I even noticed it. They offered a fair, prompt solution- extremely well handled. Not only are these these the best cookies I've ever had, it is the best customer service I've seen in a long time. Went there today (9/14/2020) to pick up some cookies from you, saw a young girl and her family there too around 1:15 pm-ish. The girl was filming the decor and telling her mom excitedly that it reminded her of Harry Potter. The lady you have working the counter (tall, a little chubby, blonde hair) is snobbish and unhelpful. From what I saw, she didn't seem like she want help them out. She just asked 'what do you want?' and went back to whatever she was doing. When they ordered, she told them 'put your card in' and huffed off to pack the cookies. She also seemed like she didn't want the kid to take pictures either. Never even thanked them for purchasing 30$ worth of cookies or for stopping by either. As a returning customer watching, I am very disappointed, heard you're opening a second location in Disney Springs, hope you don't bring that nasty attitude with you over there. read more

I finally had these for the first time (I've been before and they've been sold out of cookies... now I know why). Wow. Tried pistachio toffee, cookies and cream, and peanut butter. All were great but I think I would rank them in that order if I had to. The cookies are really soft, almost like cookie dough consistency but they don't taste raw at all. It's kind of unusual and very delicious!!! read more

Ah the line! Well worth it. What else can I say that others haven't said before except make sure that you enjoy the full experience by going home, sitting down, making up a pot of coffee and EXPERIENCING the cookie. I was in the Orlando area and looking for a spot for an afternoon coffee and pastry. I, naturally, found this bakery on Yelp! It's located in a very cool neighborhood in a also very cool indoor food vendor market. It was a great find and I managed to snag the last of the day's chocolate chip and pistachio cookies. They were very large and very tasty. Nothing better than a fresh baked, delicious cookie and this is the place to find them in Orlando. read more

Just as everyone states, the cookies are huge and you will not be able to eat a whole one in one sitting, or even a day. Extremely rich and almost too sweet but so good. Very fresh and the service is amazing. Thankfully I didn't have to wait in line, but the counter was friendly and willing to talk to you about each flavor and inquire more about each customer, which i LOVED. I ordered classic chocolate chip, the double chocolate and red velvet. Cake was superb and unlike anything I'd ever tried before. I cannot wait to come again. Worth the price indeed! read more

We went to the Market today for my first time today for a late lunch. The lady there was so nice, she let us sit down and eat our lunch at their counter even though we didn't buy it there. My friend got us a cookie from Gideon's Bakehouse and it was probably the very best cookie I have ever had from anywhere. It was a sensational delight and if it was the only reason I had gone to the Market today, it would have been so worth it. If you want an absolute cookie delight, you have to try this shop. I recommend getting more than one because you'll wish you had. read more

Don't believe the hype. Cookies were not worth the wait and drive. If you're so popular, make more cookies that are actually worth waiting for. Most of the time they're sold out. There is a nice ice cream shop near by that servers wonderful desserts with a good attitude. read more

I've given them 2 more tries. 2nd try (last week) the chocolate chip cookies were nicely baked. 3rd try (yesterday) they were raw in the middle. GIDEON'S FOR THE LOVE PLEASE BAKE YOUR COOKIES ALL THE WAY THROUGH! Look I LOVE a chewy cookie, but chewy and RAW are two different things. The cookies would be SO GOOD if you just finished baking them! Yours truly, a concerned cookie lover who just wants what's best for you. read more

This place is very unique, it reminds me of a store you would find in Digaon Alley from Harry Potter and they should be boiling potions instead of making cookies. However, the cookies they make here are good, they are big and warm! I got the triple chocolate cookie, which has a little salt on top. The cookie was pretty good, not gonna lie, but I expected more, I had read lots of amazing reviews about this place but I have to be honest, I was expecting to be blown away. The cookies are good, they are a little overly indulgent for me and I can't eat more than a few bites before feeling like i'm in a sugar coma but don't get me wrong they are worth a trip and checking out. read more

I have come here a few times, I keep coming back because I love their cookies! The location can be hard to find when putting your trust into google maps, however when you get there it can be worth travel. Located in the middle of the east end market, this shop can be hard to miss. The line the few times I have ventured out has been a bit intimidating, and this is the only problem I have to be quite honest, there is a process and very long wait for each costumer. I highly recommend trying this place out still, as far as flavors go, I recommend going with their classic chocolate chip or their cookies and cream. read more

Far superior to their Disney Springs location, this spot exudes charm and delivers an exceptional experience every visit. The staff here are a standout--they're always patient, informative, and happy to guide you through the variety of incredible flavors. Now, about the cookies: these are not your everyday treats. They're decadently rich, almost a meal in themselves! In the three plus years we've been coming, we've yet to finish an entire cookie in one sitting, but that's the beauty of sharing--you get to sample more flavors. This time around, we indulged in peanut butter, chocolate chip, mint chocolate chip, white chocolate chip espresso (December's cookie of the month), and banana nut bread. Every flavor was a hit; not one has ever disappointed. Parking can be tricky, but street parking nearby makes it manageable. PRO TIP: place your order online ahead of time! If I'm not mistaken, orders should be placed the day before. It definitely helps avoid the wait, which I hear can get long. At open, there was a line of about 5 people (on a weekday). By the time I left East End Market (at about noon), that line was out the door.
