Delicious cookies - much better than chains like crumbl! I've visited this location once or twice and definitely prefer it to the Disney location since there's such a shorter wait! We only had two people ahead of us and waited about 5-8 minutes u til we were assisted. Our cookie handler was super kind and knowledgeable in explaining the cookies. I tried the butterscotch cookie butter cookie which was so rich and delectable. You definitely need to share these cookies or save them for multiples sittings - they are big and very rich. I have tried the pistachio chocolate and coffee cake cookies before and all are delicious. I'd love to try the cakes in the future.
Came to East End Market to eat and ended up stopping to grab some cookies. I always heard of this bakehouse but never got the chance to try it. Ordered the chocolate chip, ore and banana bread chocolate cookies! All big thick size cookies! Freshly baked and good!
I somehow must be living under a rock because apparently this brand of cookies is super popular and I now get the hype. I was told that if you go to the location in Disney Springs that there's always a super long line but thankfully at this location, there was no line at all. The set up is very cute in East End market and it's super yummy. I ordered the banana bread chocolate chip and a limited edition one. All so great, but I especially loved the banana bread one. The cookies are huge and so delicious. Will definitely get more if I'm back in town.
Yum! What a cool concept in ambience for a cookie shop. I love a good witchy vibe. Not to mention the cookies are massive. We came to Easton market for other things, but had to stop at Gideon's for a cookie. We did not eat it on the spot, but ended up bringing it home and heating it up. The cookie was delicious - soft & chocolatey. The staff was quick to get our order at the establishment and there was a line behind us indicating it was a popular choice. Looking forward to trying more options and potentially their cake next time.
If you're looking for a rich indulgent cookie, head to Gideon's but be warned the lines can be super long. When I came to Disney Springs two years ago, I skipped Gideon's as the line was wrapped around a couple corners. This year, I was able to finally try them as the line was only to the end of the block. The line moves quickly which was nice but it ended up being about 20 minutes. The interior is very interesting and slightly creepy - it's giving Tim Burton. Things to know: 1) at the end of the line, there's a staff member with the menu that you can keep, 2) they limited it to 8 cookies per person, 3) there's a morning and an evening special cookie that runs out and is not remade, 4) there's also cakes and coffee drinks, and 5) there's trading cards if you order a 6 pack. The cookies are about 1.5 inches thick and are soft and chewy. I would say they are on par with levain in nyc and would definitely stop by if the line was less than 30 minutes.
It is no secret that Gideons is viral. We tried to go at Disney Springs a few days before but the line just to join the line was outrageous so we skipped it. Instead we went to the East End Market location which was a much better experience in my opinion. We got there around opening on a Thursday morning. There were a few people ahead of us but it only took about five minutes to get through the line. Much more manageable and way less stressful. We ordered four cookies. Two were limited edition which were the cookies and cream and the coffee cake. We also got the original chocolate chip and the pistachio toffee. Everything came out to about $28-30 with tip. Overall I think it is a great cookie. They are certainly dense in a sense but don't taste too indulgent. I do not know if it fully lives up to the hype which is where they lose a star. Still a fun experience and I wish them all the best. I would like to know that there isn't any seating at this location. However, there are a lot of benches that exists right outside the market.
Hands down best cookies in town, but they need to keep their game up as SummerHouse has a few good ones too. I'm normally instantly greeted and they answer all my questions. It always smells so good that it's hard to make a decision. I try to go for the limited edition flavors. Remember that it's only 2 per person when it comes to those. Keep up the good creativity and delicious treats. Don't forget to check out their candles. They smell just as great as the seasonal flavors.
I feel like this was probably the best cookie I ever had. I'm a huge cookie lover and when I heard about this place, I had to try it out! There was a line out the door on a Sunday afternoon but it moved quickly and I was too excited to really notice. The place itself has such a Cool vibe. Old books and decor. Reminded me of like St. Augustine or New Orleans vibes. Loved it! The employee was kind and knowledgeable on the products. I felt like the prices were fair and the taste was delicious and honestly hard to beat! I will absolutely be back!
This place has been on my list for AGES!!! we were finally close to Orlando after coming back from our cruise so we stopped by. This is the cutest little place and it's definitely giving Harry Potter vibes. I loved all of the decorations. We got there when they opened and we're greeted promptly. We tried four different cookies and all of them were AMAZING.
This is Orlando's gothic cookie company with the hugest cult following, though I'm not sure if non-Disney and non-Orlando people know much about them. This location is housed inside some small food hall type of building, and I was a bit surprised to see no one in line. Now I will say that I was pretty underwhelmed by these cookies, but as you can see, I had to wait a couple of days to eat the original chocolate chip, so I'm willing to give them another try. Another blunder was that the employee got my order wrong, even though she repeated the flavors I wanted properly. So, she ended up inserting a flavor that I did not want or like at all. If I'm buying expensive cookies, I feel like you should at least get my flavors right. The cookies didn't taste very buttery to me. They almost tasted like a mouthful of hardened dough and sugar. I surprisingly enjoyed the peanut butter crunch the most, though I wonder if it's because I ate that one very soon after receiving it (though none of them were warm). I had to wait an extra half day before eating the other ones, since I bought them right before my flight back home. I don't think half a day should have that much effect on the degradation of a cookie. I do appreciate how cool they look in the box, and how carefully wrapped and designed they are. You also get some Tim Burton art style trading cards with your purchase! They were neat souvenirs, so I'll hopefully have a better experience next time.
Craving a good cookie? There is no other place to get your cookie fix. I've been visiting here for years and love trying all the new flavors for the different holidays. This shop is located inside the East End Market, and while at times the parking can get pretty crazy, persevere because it's worth it. There is a line that starts at the front counter and goes around the corner and out the side door to the building if need be. Just know that certain cookies do sell out. Over the Halloween season I really enjoyed the Frankenstein cookie and Bride of Frankenstein. The Frankenstein cookie was like double chocolate and the Bride of Frankenstein is the blonde version. You also can never go wrong with the OG chocolate chip cookie. These cookies are huge and worth the cost. Something good to nibble on over the course of a couple days. I also appreciate the aesthetic. The library feel plus the merch being sold like yummy smelling candles.
I've had Gideon's many a time over the years- as gifts. Finally. It was my turn. On the rainy day I happened to be in Disney Springs, I saw the line- for the first time- a reasonable length. After our *unusually* fast wait, I finally entered the world of Gideon. It was spookier than I anticipated but still so amazing. My only complaint was their options of cookies. They have a good variety, but traditional of a bake house, they change. Alas, my trip to Gideon's was long awaited and very enjoyed.
I have loved Gideon's for years as one of my favorite cookies and bakeries ever. This however is the first time I got over to the East End Market location to try them out. I love this little spot way more than the location in Disney Springs just based on the ability to get in line and it not take hours. We stopped in quick towards the end of the night hopeful for some of their special stuffed sugar cookies but we were too late in the day. No worries though because we ended up getting a few cookies, a slice of their rainbow cake, a candle, and a bag of their cookie bites. The candle smells just like banana bread which is amazing. The cake was dreamy and had the perfect amount of frosting. The cookies and cream cookie is my favorite and it never disappoints. The cookie bites are a newer favorite for just a quick little snack. Plus they are chocolate covered so how can you go wrong? This might be the best (and fastest) way to get cookies from Gideon's in Florida. I will definitely be back to this location next time I am in town. (Also quick PSA: If you plan on traveling with the candle, keep it out of your bag in airport security so they can check it out for you the easy way!)
This is the OG location, it is small but mighty and honestly, I live 10 minutes from the Disney Springs location, but I sometimes chose to come out to this one because it's not a crazy tourist location with hours long virtual accuses and security to go through just to get cookies. I did find out on this trip, while the Disney location has the morning coffee cake cookie, which is my favorite every day until they run out, this location you have to order in advance. But I did specifically come on the day of Friday to get the rainbow pride cake that is only available on Fridays and during pride month (June). I got it no problem only a 3 person line and go out quickly. The ladies working were very nice and I heard them with the other guests they knew all the products very well. If you're a local or you have a car, I would recommend trying this location over the Springs location because you will get what you want in a much nicer time.. parking can be a bit of a hassle but if you go early in the morning, it's not bad. And as always good vibes at both locations! read more
These cookies are not overrated... are they worth waiting hours and hours? Maybe not. But if you are a sweets person and you have a chance to try them, so worth it! I have tried just about every flavor and have enjoyed almost all of them. They are HUGE. I usually eat half and save the rest for later. They last for a couple of days in the fridge and then can be frozen, as well. Gideon's also has delicious cold brew coffee! It is really some of the best coffee in Disney Springs. They have a few flavors here, too, and will sometimes do monthly flavors. While everything in Disney is probably overpriced, these are not overpriced beyond the norm, either. Super cool theming and fun shop. Would be nice if it were way bigger -- the very long lines outside in the sun is the reason I do not come here way more often! Even when they have virtual queue, the physical line is a bit of a nuisance. Cakes are HUGE but quite good, too. read more
To me, the Gideon's cookie is the pinnacle of all sweet treats. There's no cookie, cake, or pastry that could be better than a Gideon's Cookie. My lifelong goal is to try every single specialty flavor. I can tell you that the cookie formerly known as Santa's White Christmas (now the Kris Kringle) is one of my all-time favorites. Hearing that it would be available as a Bite during Christmas in July, I was thrilled and knew I had to try it! On a Wednesday afternoon, there was 1 person in line before me and I was able to get my treats quickly. The Bites came in a pack which helped me to have my sweet treat all week! Since I usually go for the cookies, I had only had a Chocolate Chip Cookie Bite (1/4 of an OG Chocolate Chip Cookie dipped in milk chocolate) once before. The Kris Kringle Bite was about 1/4 of a Kris Kringle Cookie dipped in WHITE chocolate. The Bites are definitely sweeter than the cookies since they are chocolate dips, but they are delicious! Since I was there I also decided to try that week's specialty cookie, the Banana Bread Cookie. I don't normally gravitate towards Gideon's Cookies with nuts in them, as they can have more nut flavor than I personally enjoy, but the Banana Bread Cookie had a more subtle nut flavor. I really enjoyed this one! I rank it top 5 for seasonal flavors (joining Kris Kringle, Cookie Vom Krampus, Frankenstein, and Key Lime) and would love to try it again! The small storefront in East End Market is easy to access and I love the old time, spooky decor. The person I ordered from was kind and answered all my questions! Until next time, Gideon's! read more

I never knew this location was here,I heard about it on Tik Tok and had never gotten a chance to try the Disney Springs location because the line is always crazy. But with this new info unlocked, we were able to have THE BEST COOKIES we have ever had, and the chocolate marshmallow cake was AMAZING! Been back a couple times now. Cookies? Yes cookies! I had a delicious chocolate chip banana bread cookie today. It was a cake type consistency that was very fresh tasting...like warm banana bread out of the oven. Service was quick and friendly. There were other choices of cookies available as well. Cookies were bigger than my hand. I have heard a lot about Gideons Bakehouse and wanted to check them out while in Orlando. We got a box of 4 different cookies. The flavors that we tried were cookies and cream, triple chocolate, chocolate chip, and banana bread chocolate chip. These cookies are good! A little too sweet for me, but I don't mind that I saved half of my cookie for later. Baked for the perfect amount of time. My favorite was the triple chocolate. My husband's favorite was the banana bread chocolate chip. He ate this one before I could get a picture haha. I love how if you see a picture of one of their cookies you know immediately it is from Gideons just by the extreme amount of toppings on it. We got our cookies pretty quick at this location. Definitely worth the stop! read more
First time trying Gideon's Bakehouse. Cookies were solid, good flavors, soft, chewy, and sweet. I don't actually think there's anything too special except for the aesthetic. Little to no wait when we came on during the week day - I wouldn't wait in line for it at Disney Springs. read more

They have the softest cakes ever. The cookies looked good just too much chocolate for my liking. Although I would really have liked to try their sea turtle cookie. It was sold out. I'm assuming it was something tasty. The line was outside of the building. The employees greeted each customer with flyers that included July's specially featured cookies and cakes. The inside reminds me of a book store. Very unique! read more
The cookies are huge! When I picked up my box of 4 cookies + the lemon poppy cookie that they packed outside the box since they said that flavor overpowers the rest of the cookies in the box, I was like whoa!!! We didn't want to bother with the hustle and bustle of Disney Springs so we opted to drive to this location. This was a cute little booth inside of an indoor market. We wanted to try as many flavors that peaked our interest but also keep realistic about how fast we would be able to eat them since they're so big. $6 each and they're definitely worth every penny. My daughter loved the triple chocolate chip cookie. I loved all the flavors we got and I'm still nibbling on little pieces of each - the lemon poppy crumb, pistachio toffee chocolate chip, and by far my favorite is the original chocolate chip. The vanilla favoring in the chocolate chip cookie is out of this world. My hubby opted for a piece of the Chocolate Everything cake which he loved but said it had a bit too much icing (or fudge) in the middle of the cake layers. The cookies are so very good. I'd definitely come back when I visit Orlando again. read more
East End Market is uniquely Orlando. There is rarely a wait compared to Disney Springs, and you can preorder online. There is still all the spooky vibes and curiosities, but in a quicker, less theatrical experience. The cookies and cakes remain overwhelming and each 1/2 pound cookie lasts me a few days. Parking can be tricky during peak times, but it's a small price to pay. read more

Seriously so sinful! I live and Chicago and we dont have it here. So i have to conserve my consumption. One to two bites a day lol. I'm very picky with my cookies and i can honestly say that I would definitely go back for this cookie especially the Triple Chocolate Chip one. If you are in Orlando this is a must try. I would suggest doing a mobile order because their line is always long! One brqnch is in Disney Springs FYI! Happy snacking! read more
This sweet shop located in the Audubon Park area of Orlando within the East End Market. They offer freshly made hefty cookies and rich cakes. With a warm Victorian ambiance this counter service restaurant makes almost half pound ingredient rich cookies. We shared a few cookies and they were delicious. They also have a nice cake selection too. read more

We are frequent fans of Gideons. The concept is fun and unique and we love trying all of their season desserts, especially the two Halloween cookies! This time we tried the butterscotch cookie and the pistachio chocolate chip cookie. The butterscotch was a little more "spiced" than we would have liked, but the pistachio chocolate chip was much better than expected! Not too chocolate-y (I usually stick with the cakes or cookies and cream cookie because I don't like chocolate), and super soft which is my favorite! We also had the Valentina cake which was my husbands favorite - a red velvet cake with cookies and cream marshmallow icing. I can't stand cream cheese icing, so it was a nice change for me too! My favorite cake, however, is the pride cake: a funfetti cake with rainbow vanilla icing and sugar cookie/cake crumbles in between the layers, served 2 days each week during the month of June. Long story short, if you haven't tried Gideons, you should! And the line at the original location is way more manageable than the one at Disney Springs - even on weekends read more

Guys stop reviewing this location everyone is going to catch on LOL! I had never been the this on before and stopped in during our last vacation. Highly recommend. I had a funny thing happen directly my time trying to order I walked up to the counter where ther was a rope and ther were two people queued uo by the case line. K was ushered to join them. So I did. While th4e teo parties in front of me ordeed, 7 more partes quequed up in the actual line that I was initially in. When it came time for me to order, the man in the front of the "real line" (that I was initially in) just started his order, skipping me. The person at the till just took it looking uncomfortable but ti was getting busy so I assumed she would take me next, instead she ushered me to join the BACK of the other line so I ended up waiting behind 9 people when I should have waited behind only 2. Normally this would have really bothered me but it's still a million times better than the mess at the Disney Springs location so it helped me get past it quickly. I ordered 2 cookies, at around 1pm on a Tuesday they were all fully stocked. I got them in separate bags though so I had to ask for a box as I was traveling tomorrow and needed that. I assumed they give everyone a box as part of the whole experience...apparently not. The cookies of course were delicious. They always are. Anyone who says otherwise, I'm just not sure what you expect from a cookie? I do wish they were on GoldBelly so I could order them to my home and skip the waiting in line fr ages on my vacation because that's not really what I want to do, nor do I wan to drive out to Winter Park, if I wasn't already planning to do so. Location is very small. I was surprised how small it was. It was fine just tight and a bit confusing (clearly) in where to queue. read more
Skip the lines at Disney Springs and head to this Gideon's location inside the East End Market! My mouth watered for years thinking about trying a Gideon's cookie, but I couldn't stand the thought of being in a queue for hours at DS. Luckily, this location will leave you with a minimal wait, if any at all. We tried the Maple Walnut Chocolate Chip as well as the regular Chocolate Chip. Both were phenomenal, but would have left us speechless had they been served warm. Not the world's best cookie I've ever had, but it's close to the top 5! read more

Our first time here, the cookie my dayghter selected was delightful. Easy checkout process, but can be a bit intimidating for a first time visitor. I loved the back wall display with antique books, a seating area in this style would be awesome. I really appreciated that each cookie is wrapped individually and the service person informed me that some of the cookies contain caffeine. We will return, however parking situation is terrible. read more

Been coming to this location for years (infrequently) and it's much better than tolerating the ridiculous line at the Disney Springs location. read more

I love Gideon's! And if you are reading reviews trying to decide if you want to try them out, just go and do it! These cookies are my absolute favorite combination, crunchy on the outside and so chewy on the inside. They have some delicious flavors that change out monthly and sometimes they have limited specials. Definitely check out their social media to see what flavors they are featuring. This one is located inside East End Market, and I usually go in the afternoon during the week and I can usually walk right up to the counter. There is an additional location at Disney Springs but usually the wait is an hour plus, so I highly recommend the East End Market location if you can make it here. Both locations have a really fun vibe and the employees have always been fabulous! Check them out, you won't regret it! read more
These cookies are what Cookie Monster lives for! Have a big cup of milk handy because these cookies aren't your typical batch. Sit down; this is a meal, my friend. I'm a sucker for warm freshly baked cookies. I've only been to the East End location; they limit you to six cookies I believe but if you preorder, there's no limit. This location is easier for me to get to than the Disney Springs location and much less crowded. Although some weekends, I have seen lines out the door and around the building; it's worth the wait tho :) They have different flavors to keep you on your toes and coming back for more. I love the cookies and cream cookie - big Oreo fan. I have also tried the banana bread chocolate chip and I was surprised by how much I liked this one. Great combo - banana and chocolate, who knew? Try the limited edition Kris Kringle cookie! I can't even describe all the flavors this one has. White chocolate, caramel, coconut, some coffee, and sea salt! I wish this can be a permanent menu item but it's only here for the holidays. Sad face emoji. I miss when they had the white chocolate caramel macadamia nut. That's gotta be one of my favorite cookies by far! I have yet to try their humongous cake slices! Heard they were to die for! read more

I always look forward to getting some delicious cookies from Gideon's whenever I'm in the Orlando area. Whether it's a cookies & cream, pistachio chocolate chip, one of their seasonal cookies or just your good old original chocolate chip, you really can't go wrong. These things are nearly a half pound of baked goodness & they're almost impossible to not eat all in one sitting because they're that addicting. They're baked to perfection every time. The outside is a bit crunchy & the inside is soft like they were just taken out of the oven, I don't know how they pull that sorcery off! The flavors of the ingredients really come through, you can taste how fresh everything is. I also really enjoy the fact that they release new menu art monthly & offer exclusive character trading cards when you purchase a box of 3 cookies. There's also a handful of other merch they sell like shirts, candles, & pins with the beautifully creepy work on it. The art is created by the genius "Mr. Eyes" & it really helps tie in the antique/spooky vibe they're going for. The attention to detail put into this bakery is awesome. Much like the one in Disney Springs, this one (located @ East End Market) can definitely get crowded. Being that this was their 1st location it's understandable that it's on the smaller side. If you're in a rush or don't like standing in lines I would recommend using the online ordering they offer. Regardless of how you choose to get your baked goods, the workers always have a friendly attitude when interacting with them. The only negative thing I could say is they're on the pricey side. It's a bit easier to rationalize when you only get it a couple times a year though. I don't like to throw the word "perfect" around too often but there's really not a single bad thing I can point out about these cookies or the cake slices. They're worth every penny. read more
I learned about Gideon's from IG, but didn't know if I would ever get to try it. My husband ended up working in Orlando for a week, so I took the opportunity to work from there. As soon as we arrived, first thing we did was go to Gideon's Bakehouse. We went to the location at East End Market. It's a small marketplace, with various restaurants, coffee stands and other places. The Gideon's stand isn't that large, but it runs very efficiently. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie, an oreo cookie and a piece of red velvet cake. I was so excited to be able to try the chocolate chip cookie and it didnt disappoint at all. The oreo cookie was actually even better to me, than the chocolate chip. BUT let's talk about the red velvet cake. I'm VERY picky when it comes to cake and especially red velvet cake. My family makes red velvet cake and we don't use chocolate in our..so when i saw that bright red cake sitting on the counter, I had to try it. Gideon's has now my GO TO bakery for red velvet cake. It was moist and delicious! It was the absolute best red velvet cake I've ever had, outside of my mom and aunt's! I didn't have a lot of good food while in Orlando, but Gideon's was so good, it made up for it! read more

I ordered the chocolate chip & the candied walnut chocolate cookies. So moist & delicious. $6 a piece not counting the 2 limited ones they got which r $6 & some change. This month they went a step further by coupling the purchase of "The Sea Turtle Cookie" with promoting turtle conservation. National Sea Turtle Day takes place in June and a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the Special Edition Cookie go to this worthy effort. Turtle candies originated in 1918 and Gideon's has fashioned a cookie deserving of this well-liked sweet. It worth the 15 or 29 min wait. Amazing cookies and hard to decide so u need extras. You can freeze and eat later that way I won't have regrets. So cool inside so it nice they inky key a few guests in at a time. read more
Stopped by to check out Charcuterie store and seen Gideon's :) as you can see in the case there is a variety of cookies and they have cakes also. I decided on the peanut butter crunch cookie and it did not disappoint :) along with Gideon's...this is an interesting little spot with different eateries and a few little shops. Worth your time to stop by and support these small businesses. read more
Never can go wrong with Gideons cookies. Love this month's (October) limited release. Frankenstein flavor was by far my favorite however, if you're a white chocolate lover, Bride of Frankenstein was equally as good. Definitely will be back as Gideons is our household favorite treat! read more

From the spooky decor and the fun flavored cookies, it's no wonder that Gideon's is such a local hit. The cookies are perfect for those who love a soft baked cookie (my sister dislikes them because they aren't crunchy) so keep that in mind if you don't want to feel like you're eating cookie dough. They are a little pricey for what you get but it is a pound heavy cookie that I don't tend to eat in one seating. I will cut the cookie into fourths and chuck them into the freezer to eat later. Depending on the cookie, they can be a little too sweet so I prefer the ones with salt or dark chocolate when available. The flavors are always rotating so there's plenty of different options throughout the year in addition to their standard offerings. This company use to rely a lot on FOMO marketing in my opinion so it's nice that they offer preorders online now for the East End Market. I can confidently say that Gideon's is definitely in my top 5 dessert spots in Orlando. read more

If you can try it w/o a huge line I'd say definitely go for it Although it is by no means the "Best Cookie in the World" as they're commonly called, Gideon's serves up hefty and delicious cookies at a moderate price (about $5 a pop). The line at East End moves much faster than that at their other locations, so YMMV. I was pretty happy with it, but we only waited about 5 minutes and actually enjoyed it more as cold leftovers than hot out the oven. If I had to wait 30 minutes or more, which can happen pretty often, I would be less willing to try again. read more

Gideon's does not fulfill delivery or shipping orders; you can preorder and pickup from the East End location through their website, but zero delivery. (Also stated on their website in FAQ's).
Are their vegan options on the menu?
They do not have vegan or gluten free options.
Do you have the Frankenstein cookie currently?
Since it is a limited time offering in October, unless you are there for that month, no. It also sells out quickly fairly often on weekends during October, so be sure to go early or on weekdays if you must have one.
Do they have uber eats or grub hub?
