Then I found The Rose Cottage about 35 mins away. Each month has a different theme so you'll never get tired of the menu. I went "Let Them Eat Cake" French inspired tea menu. Upon arriving I was greeted and was given a tour and the history the home (I love historical homes). I loved learning about the history of the house and seeing all the amazing craftsmanship and antiques. Quick tip- if you are looking for a specific day to visit call ahead. I called and they were booked two weeks out. I was able to get a reservation at the end of the month. The food was absolutely amazing (as was the tea of course!) The honey butter was to die for! I loved everything. The salad was so fresh and I loved the different textures and flavors. The scone was fresh and perfectly cooked. The savories and sweets were perfectly paired to to the tea. The cakes was so good and I loved finishing off with some chocolate. I loved the mango iced tea- it was so refreshing. The hot tea is one of my favorites and was brewed perfectly. I can't wait to go again.

Welcoming lobby with tea themed gifts to purchase set the tone for your awaited tea service. Staff is family friendly and so attentive making sure your coats are hung and your comfort is addressed. We enjoyed a mid morning seating on a cozy winter Saturday. The tea room, a converted front parlor room of the house is decorated with charming English nods to the queen and tea. About a half dozen tables are set with crisp linen and china. Menu is simple and straight forward. I highly recommend the Tea for Two, or the deluxe version of this if you're really hungry! Tea offerings are plentiful and loose tea brewed. Very authentic! We each got a different flavor of tea under the advice of our wonderful server Dana! Because tea pots are bottomless we were able to sample and share a variety! Highly recommend their Windsor blend as well as the peppermint teas. Soup and quiche of the day were delicious to say the least. Warm creamy tomato bisque and fluffy broccoli cheese quiche started us off. Followed in a timely but not rushed second course of a three tiered tea plate filled with perfectly executed sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam and dainty bite size sweet treats. Crustless, finger sandwiches were filled with creations like the Queen's coronation chicken salad, egg salad, and apple cheddar salad, strawberry cream cheese and cucumber slices. Heavenly! Fresh baked scones were light and fluffy inside and buttery and lightly crisp on the outside. Dainty sweet treats included butterscotch mousse, salted caramel macrons, butterfly tea cakes and caramel chocolate shortbread. Portions are plentiful but not overwhelming. We each took a small box of a few bites that weren't able to be finished. Overall we can't say enough good things about this lovely hidden gem right on Rt 15. It was worth the hour drive and every penny spent. We're looking forward to coming back and enjoying this tea house and their lovely staff many more times in the future.

We dressed up and really got into the spirit lol. We ordered the Windsor Tea for Two option which included a three tiered service of sandwiches, scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream and desserts. It was all very good. My favorite was the coronation chicken, it was so flavorful! We also added two broccoli and cheese quiches, very tasty. The tea was good too although I couldn't finish mine since there was so much of it lol. Maybe they can think about having to go cups? Or if they do offer them at the end of service. The scones were so good! They also have a little bakery when you first walk in which is nice. Great customer service as well.

We always have a great experience-we love the cozy, quaint atmosphere of the tea room. We visited today for the Mother's Day Queen's Tea. I called to make a reservation 2 months in advance since they book up so quickly. In general, reservations are recommended as seating is limited, especially on weekends. When you arrive, you are presented with a prix-fix menu. On non-holidays, you usually have a choice between the soup or the salad of the day. You select your pot of tea from over 60 premium tea flavors. Today, I chose the "Paris" special tea, which had notes of vanilla, caramel, and bergamot. For the Mother's Day Queen's Tea, we had the broccoli and cheddar quiche, a pear, goat cheese, candied walnut, mixed green salad, scones, assorted mini sandwiches, and several mini desserts. Every course was fresh and excellent. The caramel scones are one of the best things I have ever eaten. They are served warm with clotted cream and lemon curd. The caramel is so goey and melts in your mouth. We brought some orange juice and prosecco to have mimosas with our tea. They have glassware in the back that you can request when making your reservation. The service is always top-notch. Holly is the best server! She is super sweet and always hardworking. At the entrance, there is a little gift shop with lots of cute vintage items, tea-themed trinkets, and some of the loose lea tea available in small bags. We love coming here and hope to be back again soon.
