Small, cute place along our road trip through upstate NewYork. The waitress was friendly and service was quick. Th e food was fantastic.

Best we have had in this area so far on this trip for breakfast. We have been to the famous family blue diner down the road and actually it did not impress. This place was admittedly understaffed for the rush that happened but they hustled through it fine. Coffee was good and food was very good. Gigi's Place (formerly Top of the Hill Cafe) is a small hometown diner serving breakfast (all day) and lunch located at the corner of Main St and Pennsylvania Ave in Apalachin. The food served here is homemade and the prices are reasonable. The place has two dining rooms with booth seating, table seating and counter seating, kitchen in the back. The walls in the dining room are painted in dark pink color and local artwork (for sale) decorates the walls. There was a nice painting of the Delhi Covered Bridge on display in the main dining room. I've driven across that covered bridge many times. The breakfast offerings include the usual suspects: egg platters, omelets (with homefries & toast), breakfast sandwiches, burritos, biscuits sausage gravy, pancakes, French toast, corned beef hash, oatmeal, and muffins. The lunch offerings include a variety of hot sandwiches, burgers, melts, cold sandwiches, salads, soups, chili, and fries. All sandwiches include cole slaw, add a side for $1.25 more. Daily special items are offered too. The prices here are very reasonable, under $10. Boars Head deli meats used here. Pepsi fountain drinks and Mr Koffee (located nearby) coffee is brewed here. I decided to stop at Gigi's Place for lunch recently instead of my usual very popular diner near the highway. I sat myself at an open table in the main dining room. I was told by the waitress that anything with roasted beef (Philly steaks) were not available. For lunch, I decided on the Florida Reuben ($7) with cole slaw and fries (add $1.25). My food was served to me in about 10 minutes. The Florida Reuben was a big sandwich layered with thin deli slices of turkey, cole slaw, 1000 Island dressing, & melted Swiss cheese between two thick grilled slices of multigrain bread. The fries were deep fried to perfection, hot and crispy and salted just right. The homemade cole slaw (shredded cabbage & carrot) were creamy and sugary sweet too. The food I had was excellent and very fresh tasting. The service was friendly and courteous. I'm glad I stopped here and I will definitely have to return here again and try out the breakfast! Great place for breakfast. I had the corn beef hash with taters, eggs, and toast. My sis-in-law had French Toast with sausage patties the size of her hand. Wonderful service in a cool old school diner vibe. read more

We enjoyed our breakfast. Everything was delicious. All of the breakfast's were pleasing to look at and were gone before I could take a picture. The waitress was super friendly and helpful. Plus they offered Swiss chocolate almond coffee. You can't go wrong with that. read more

I'm not going to bother rating the food because we did not eat it. I tossed both mine and my husbands meal. Wasted $25.54 Came here for lunch, placed my order, then the hosted went and called the cook from the other room. She walked out of sitting in the next sitting area placed her phone on the counter and went straight to making the food without washing her hands. The worst thing you can touch and eat is your phone. Think about all the places you take your phone, I.e. the restroom. You can see onto the kitchen from the bar area and I watched this lady wipe her hands on her pants after each seasoning. Went here with my daughter for breakfast It is,a,small place but very pleasant. Waitress was quick taking our order and we were VERY surprised at how quickly the food arrived. I got the cheese omelet and my daughter got French toast. Everything was delicious and we were extremely pleased. Prices were good and u got plenty of food for the price. This Breakfast was delicious!! My friends go here often and it was the first time I made a brunch. Completely worth it and I wish I ordered another serving of the Sweet Potato Home-Fries! Unreal. Just got finished eating here, the food was great, especially the home fries. Not the normal frozen cube potatoes, these where whole potatoes, probably par boiled and smash fried on a skillet with very crispy skin. The restaurant is small, but clean, probably not the best place for a party more then 4 or 5, kid friendly. Service was a little slow but I'm always willing to wait for real, good food and friendly staff ! Make sure to bring cash. read more
