In 1924, they donated eight acres of land along south Lake Conway "in consideration of the sun of $10" to Orange County, establishing the county's first public park. This donation was the foundation for what would later become Warren Park. For decades, this beachfront park offered a spot for folks to gather and visit with family and friends. Wilbur Warren also served as the first park commissioner when the Office of the Park Commissioner was established in 1926. In 1996, a park renovation added a dock for kayaks and paddleboards. Warren Park also has a rental pavilion, tennis and pickleball courts, picnic tables and grills, sand volleyball court, and a playground. A paved 0.3-mile walking path with exercise stations encircles the park. Note that the park is in two pieces. You have to cross the street to reach the smaller waterfront portion of the park. Warren Park is an important recreational resource for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. The large shade trees are especially lovely but my favorite part might be the scenic lake view. Take the pups for a walk or the kids for play. This family friendly park has something for everyone.

This site was developed into multiple athletic fields including baseball diamonds and a softball field as well as picnic and playground areas. My favorite part of the park were the paved walking paths that connect the different amenities in the park. The large size of Southport Park makes it ideal for annual events like the Orlando Renaissance Fair and Orlando Oktoberfest. Southport Park is a wonderful recreational resource for community sports, family gatherings, and walkers and jogger seeking a safe place to exercise. Come out for sports, fitness, and family fun. The thoughtful design, variety of amenities, and well kept outdoor spaces keep the Orlando community engaged.

There is plenty of parking here oh, probably because of the sport fields and the reason is that they would have a lot of people playing on the fields all at once. It is also well maintained. If you don't run, that's ok as lots of people come to walk or sit by the water( I enjoyed the water and ducks as well). There are two playgrounds for the little ones , one is covered for the smaller kids with plenty of benches . There are soccer fields and baseball fields which are perfect for weekend sports. It's kinda of crazy as the park is located by driving into the high school so I always thought it was closed during school hours but it's not since it's a public park. It's kept up well and I can't wait for another mid day jog or playground day!

The hotel lobby just like an art museum. The furniture is beautiful and very unique. The sculpture garden has several statues. Many of them is shiny and unique post. It also has a bronze bull showing muscles like the Wall Street. The visit takes 30 minutes the most.

I loved strolling through, snapping photos with the sculptures, and just soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. One standout piece was the shiny, tango dancers' sculpture that instantly reminded me of the famous Bean at Millennium Park in Chicago. I couldn't stop admiring my reflection in it, which made for a really fun and playful experience. We stepped inside the Wave Hotel. The interior is uniquely and beautifully decorated. I felt like walking through a modern art museum. The garden sits under Orlando International airport flight path, so we heard planes passing overhead occasionally. It's just a minor distraction. Most fun activities in Orlando cost money, this sculpture garden is a refreshing exception. We were there in the early morning before weather turned hot. I can only imagine how spectacular it will look once the light projections are up after dark.

5 Star update for a park that is beautiful for stolling during Azalea blooming season, as well as…read morefor events and weddings. This is one of my favorite parks ever. As the name implies, this park is at its peak during azalea season, but don't be discouraged if these colorful blooms are till hidden- there is so much more to discover in this park. Take a walk along the path that meanders under the bridges and around the creek. You'll find tons of special spots where you'll want to pause, take a picture, and enjoy a moment of peace (just thinking about it is putting me in a zen mood!). The park also has a nice stage area which is small, but can be used as a wedding location (I've been a bridesmaid here!). I wouldn't recommend going to the park at night, as it doesn't have lights and can get a bit creepy, but during the day make sure to get your pup on a leash, pack a light lunch, and get ready for the best picnic ever!

It's always been, and still is, a lovely and peaceful park. Full of exploration, adventure, joy, with so many opportunities for so many types of events, get together, celebrations, etc. We reserved a multi-family sight and with support from the park staff we were able to use the group camp site that had a nice big bone fire ring, which is where we had our celebration. It's was just isolated enough from the rest of the park we were able to listen to music, talk, and go adventuring around a little bit. We're definitely coming back next year! This is the PERFECT park for a campfire, bone fire, lake swimming, and overnight camping.

I felt very comfortable walking along the path oh, my soul felt very at ease here. I see cats these little refuges within cities, these little retreats to what the world once was before progress put much of it under asphalt and cement. This park is a great addition to this community. I recommend a visit here if you find yourself in the Conway area of Orlando. It is a great place to chill, to unwind, and to focus not so much as the world around you, but rather the world within you.
