For our safety we informed the staff that they would be required to mask, which they did during the dinner. While cleaning up Patrick (staff) took off his mask and was asked to please stay masked. He refused, became combative, then called the owner Andre Hampton who came to the pavilion. Rather than instructing his staff to comply and finish the job, Andre became belligerent and aggressive with the guests, forcing his way into our gathering without a mask. When confronted by a medical doctor in our family -- a Native American woman -- he rushed her as though he was going to strike her, then started screaming and spitting inches from her face. At that point, our family had no choice but to expel them from our gathering. Andre Hampton continued cursing at his customers -- throwing the mask he never wore at us as he drove off.

After interviewing several on their list of preferred vendors, we were relieved to find Marguerite and we feel fortunate we were able to work with her. She takes time to get to know the people she is working with and has a wonderful and thoughtful way of figuring out what is wanted and needed. Further, she makes things come together without fuss or fanfare. She is attentive to details but keeps sight of the "forest" in addition to the "trees". We had some unusual requests and she handled them beautifully. Our officiant had had bad experiences with Wedding Planners and he was less than keen to have to someone else "running the show". Marguerite was not offended by his request that she be to the side and take instructions from the officiant during the wedding. We wanted a low key wedding with the focus being the beautiful views and the wildflower meadows present at the venue. We did not want traditional wedding flower arrangements. We wanted to use river rocks and greenery on the tables along with the battery operated candles required by the venue. Marguerite kindly stored the battery operated candles I found so we had ones we liked. She helped us work with a florist to come up with greenery that was just right. Once Marguerite understood the look we were trying to achieve, she worked with us and the tables looked lovely. She even helped collect natural river stones which she then put back in the river. She has a deep rolodex of people with whom she works and we have no doubt what ever kind of wedding you dream of Marguerite can help you make it happen.

I hired Priscilla for the entire planning of my wedding which was 3,000 she collected half upfront and the rest would be 2 weeks before my wedding. From the very beginning, I had a bad feeling about working with this planner. She was often unresponsive to my emails and calls, even during the crucial stage of finding my venue. I personally set up about 10 venue appointments, while she only arranged 4. I was already close to firing her and had even started a claim with my bank to recover my $1,500 deposit. Once she realized how serious I was, she apologized and promised to improve -- and unfortunately, I decided to give her a second chance. She did help me find a florist that matched my vision, and I am grateful for that. However, that small success does not make up for her overall lack of follow-through. Afterward, her effort quickly declined again. I had to repeatedly reach out and remind her to help me find a bakery for my cake, which she never did beyond contacting one vendor that didn't work out. When I asked her for a general sequence of events for the wedding (so I could plan the timing of the toast, cake cutting, and dancing), instead of providing guidance, she just sent me a list of questions. After that, communication dropped off completely. Now, with only three months left before my wedding, she still hadn't checked in or offered any help. I decided to terminate her services, and she dismissed my concerns as "anxiety toward wedding planning." In reality, I paid her $3,000 and received little to no results. Please be aware and make sure you truly connect with and vet your vendors before signing a contract. I am still trying to reach a resolution, but she remains unresponsive. I intend to pursue this matter fully, as it's unfair for professionals to take advantage of clients during such important moments. BE AWARE.
