The wife told me she was going to run errands while I was busy doing work around the yard but she said I will bring you a smoothie because I will be around smoothie king, just text me the order. Well how could I be upset!? A smoothie? I hile I'm working, nice! She let me know in advance to text the order because I will be going buy there in a few. It seemed easy enough but boy was I wrong. Whose brilliant idea was it in their infinite wisdom to complicate a menu sooo much!? 30 minutes later I finally just told her order me this one even though it didn't seem like something I was craving but at that point I was craving something refreshing, I was frustrated by this ridiculous menu and pissed because I waisted so much time that I could have been getting more of my hunny do's done! I finally just ordered the island impact and it was good, not the best but it was flavorful. The smoothie seemed to have a whipped consistency almost like an orange whip drink. It was reminiscent of the tropical drink from the old orange Julius but not as sweet. It was different than I expected but I enjoyed it. I just don't understand why they can't just have a menu that shows: here are the fruity flavors and here are the meal replacements and this is our bowls and by the way you can build your own. This place is a joke. I placed a pick up order for a goji berry crunch with ACAI. When I arrived I followed the instructions on the board and called. The girl who answered sounded flustered and told me there wasn't anymore acai. I asked her if she could switch my base to Pitaya. She acted like she understood. 10 minutes passes, no smoothie bowl. I go inside to see what's going on only to find out that the girl I spoke to on the phone did not relay the message! So I was waiting for nothing. They have 4 smoothie selections: Slim, Fitness, Wellness, and Break Time. They are currently renovating but they offer caffe style seating to lounge and slurp down their delicious smoothies! I'm astonished by the young man who dropped off my smoothie. I've been coming here for years. I prefer Smoothie King over Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Frankly, it's just better. But, lately I've had to frequent curbside pickup. I have just had a baby. So, I enjoy the convenience of not getting out of the car with the baby. This time when I went to pick up the young man working stood at my car window in expectation of a tip. I thought that this was so ridiculous. And, I was very much offended. They have the menu broken down by types which is really nice, especially because they have so many options it can be overwhelming trying to make a decision. I tried one of their "Wellness" smoothies- the veggie lemon ginger spinach. It was so refreshing, especially after a workout. The sizes are huge and well worth the bang for your buck. In comparison to Tropical smoothie, Smoothie King blows it out of the park. The ingredients truly taste fresh. I've noticed most are organic and hardly use any additive sugars. There isnt many people that come to this location. The location itself is a little difficult to get to as its behind target in a secluded area. Parking is spacious.
