I'm eating only for beer quality service and availability. I did not try the food, although the menu has some interesting options. This place is pretty large for the area and sparse the way seating and furniture is. Kinda like a beer hall with tables and no booths etc. situated in the outlet mall so that's probably why... they have a decent arrangement of beers that are across the board variety. I tried the double IPA and it is full flavor and strong. Glass is cold and the beer tastes great, especially after some shopping. I hate shopping. read more

What is there to even say? What kind of self-respecting business would allow a place to function like this? I say "self" like a business can reflect in such a way. Silly me. It is extremely obvious this is clearly and in no way the solitary server on duty's fault; it's because of how Gilgamesh chooses to run their business. Let me set the stage: First time visiting. We walk into an absolutely massive "seat yourself" dining room, maybe 20% full, with zero place settings and the smell of old frozen fried fish almost knocks me down. You know the one. I just got out of the hospital, in physical pain, but I'm committed. I choose our seat nearest the door, being the direct furthest from the bar. My partner reads the room but I don't. After a few moments, an exhausted server hustles to us, panic in her eyes and tears in her voice, telling us she's alone, the kitchens about to close, and we're sitting so far away if we could please just only order a beer or reconsider coming back another time. I've never seen a server behave like this and I'm horrified. Does Gilgamesh know this server is crying trying to complete all her tasks? Do they know about the dismal reviews, both here and on Google? And they choose to continue just chuggin' along and allowing that severe mediocrity to persist? Shame on them. Do not give them your money. If they can't support their employees and give coastal customers a superlative experience, they don't belong here. read more

Recommend the cheesy crab dip with chips! That was the highlight of an otherwise regrettable meal. We also ordered salmon fish and chips and cup of clam chowder. The chowder was soup and not very flavorful. The salmon was well fried but the breading was a bit heavy and the chips were a soggy mess. The strawberry cider is very good so if you go you would try it if you like sweet. One waitress while another was socializing. Boyfriend food was not that great. We went to a birthday gathering at Gilgamesh Brewing on Monday 11/10/2025. There were at least 20 in our party and they were busy as they were having their trivia night. Our server did an amazing job. She didn't get rattled and was great and I'm sorry I didn't ask her name. The food was really good and our table got a variety from burgers to salads to fish tacos to pizza. I have to say I will for sure go back. Ahhh, Gilgamesh, how we miss thee in West Salem, but we've gained a friend at the outlet mall. One of the reasons I typically avoid the outlet mall is there is nowhere to eat and after I am drug to many stores I must have something. The outlets are great if you are looking to buy something but I'm normally not. The service here was great. Including the fact that they gave us iced tea drinks to go when we got ready to leave. We had salad and split a great pizza! This is a huge venue which I imagine is packed on the weekends. Luckily we were there on a weekday while school was in session so it was relatively quiet there. Kudos, again to the server (who acts like an owner-maybe so) for they great service. I'll definitely be back again. read more

I really wanted to like our experience here, but it was a crappy experience. We walked in and you seat yourself. There's really only one waitress took about 10 minutes to get menus and then another 10 minutes to get drinks. The bathroom was out of soap and paper towels. When the food arrived 2/4 of our meals had pink hair in them. The excuse was the new 16 year old in the kitchen... we were there for close to 2 hours, the food was not good, could tell it was frozen-ish. Went with some friends that are local to meet up for dinner. There were maybe two tables with other people in a very large seating area. We picked a table as there was a sign when you enter to seat yourself. We saw they had gluten-free buns and figured I could eat as I am dairy and gluten-free because of allergies not because of choice. Our friends are vegan and we saw they had vegan burgers, salads and such. Well, that was the end of that successful part of the evening. We asked about what had any dairy in it or any other animal products and the wait staff person had no idea and had to ask a couple of people different questions like what was in the vegan burgers and they read the side of the box but couldn't really answer the question so our friends went for the salad Then when I asked for a burger, they then said we don't have any gluten-free buns tonight the delivery is tomorrow. My husband ordered fish and chips. He has no allergies. Then they came back and said we have no cod for the fish and chips. OK enough is enough. The four of us got up and left. Our friends were also very clear they would never recommend that place to any of their neighbors or the other locals they know. I have no idea how a restaurant that is as large as that place in a factory outlet store mall could have wait staff was so little knowledge plus such a poorly stocked kitchen, and hope to be able to stay in business. I think there should be an option to leave a review and not have to leave a one star because that was too much. read more

Service was HORRIBLE on this date. Slow inattentive servers. Basically, we were invisible at the bar and had to waive them down twice. The restaurant was not busy with only 4 tables and 4 people at the bar. We have been waiting 40 minutes for our food and still not here. After we were advised that the food would be delayed because they were short staffed in the kitchen, our server never came back to check on us and refill our beer. We have been polite even with the inconvenience and unprofessionalism of a well-known restaurant name. I hope the manager reads this and does some retraining with the staff. read more

The service and food reviews are incredibly disappointing to read for this business..I can't imagine this stays here long at all. We walked in and the space is huge, half of the restaurant still had chairs on the tables, closed for seating. There were maybe 6-8 tables with customers. It said seat yourself, but as we scanned the room for tables, a waitress cleaning off a table said "just so you guys know, we're looking at an hour wait" so we turned right around and left. They're basically scaring people off from even eating here with insane wait times for food, and then the service & food as it reads is not worth the wait. read more

We came in on a Monday evening. We ordered pizza, they don't have pizza available nor numerous items from the menu. Our inexperienced server stated she forgot to pull that part of the menu out. Beer one choice, not available. Beer 2 not what I had in mind (my bad) and landed in a decent lager. Our food was hot and delicious, especially the fish and fries. Here's the deal, our experience was much like others who reviewed. This place needs a manager who knows how to manage a menu, teach staff etc. This space is huge and uninspired. I will be surprised if it will survive the season without some serious changes. The potential is here but Gilgamesh which is a stellar performer in Salem, missed the mark on this place. read more

Consistently disappointing. Have visited 3 times to give them another chance and hoping that they would improve. Nope. Incredibly slow service, out of at least one beer that was supposed to be on tap each time (once out of 5, and how can a brewpub be out of their own beers?), and after waiting an extremely long time for food orders to arrive it is average to underwhelming. Best was chicken-bacon-ranch sandwich and it was 3/5 stars. When we have visited it hasn't been busy at all, which makes it even more astounding that a salad can take 45 minutes when there are only two other tables with 2-3 patrons each. read more

Came for lunch on a Tuesday. There were 7 of us. They were very accommodating. We had tasters of the Lager, the Porter and Hefeweizen. We ordered the Lager snd Porter, and the Stoney Fries and Buffalo Wings to start. They were delicious and went a long way considering our numbers. My daughter had the Brewed Awakening Stout, and the grandkids had water. For lunch, two of us had the spinach salad (excellent), and my son In law had the Cobb. It was Taco Tuesday ($3 each and choice of chicken, beef, or pork). My grandson had the Mac and cheese off the kids menu, one had three tacos, and one had the Grand Round pizza. I had the jalapeno burger. It was not good. The burger meat itself was cooked well and tasted okay, aside from having zero seasoning. There was a whole onion slice on the burger, a large handful of Jalapeños and undercooked bacon. It seemed like it was haphazardly put together. AMAZING! Great food, drinks, and stelllar service. It looks like Gilgamesh finally has all the kinks ironed out. They are consistent with the menu and have every item stocked 24/7. Beer taps have a full 24 draft line-up! The servers have obviously been very well trained and we noticed them helping not only every single table and guest but we also saw them being extremely kind and helpful to each which can be rare in restaurants. Every last time we have been to the coast they have treated us like family and showed us some serious appreciation for being there! I would recommend going to another brewery or restaurant. 5 couples in the restaurant and it took over an hour for our food. The waitress spent most of the hour at our table talking about the new manager and the meeting they had had that morning. New rules, more duties, and less service for customers. After I collected all my shoppers, I came back for the food to go and the waitress who was nasty and mean. She had about 6 tables of customers and left twice in that hour to take a break while we waited. Unacceptable on the coast, bet this place doesn't make it a year with service like that. I ordered steak and shrimp and for the price I was thinking I was going to get a nice couple of large shrimp and actual bite size steak but I got couple of extra small shrimp and diced up steak pieces. The fries shouldn't be the main thing on the plate that tastes amazing. I also ordered the black cod and chips and it was also a bummer getting 4 small cod pieces that weren't even fried long even for the breading to be crispy. The price was not worth it. We have been to the Lincoln City location (at the outlet mall) a few times since opening including tonight (7/25/25). Always enjoy our visit, great beer selection, and have tried pizza, burgers, sandwiches while there. Happy with the food, great appetizers too! Always have a nice experience and great service. No way this place could handle a full restaurant. While we waited for our food, nobody ever stopped to check and ask to refill drinks or even check in with us about how long the food was taking. We had to ask after an hour. When we finally got our food, they forgot an order of one of the people in our party and they had to wait even longer. Gilgamesh makes good beers but I'm not sure they are ready for a restaurant. If you're in LC I would skip this place and find another option. I understand staffing can be an issue but if you can't fully staff, maybe scale back down so you can run with speed and efficiency. read more
