It seemed cool and was within walking distance to our hotel so my wife and I decided to give this place a try. We do not drink alcohol and only wanted food. I think the drinking alcohol part is what makes the food edible. We were seated right away and the place had a few kids playing pool and 3 guys drinking beer (who spilled 2 while we were there). I got some wings and my wife god the "seafood combo". The wings were ok, nothing special no complaints. The seafood combo was pretty bad. The halibut was very fishy and I'm pretty sure it was all frozen before cooking. I mean c'mon man your at the coast and the halibut is old?! My wife got sick and was throwing up. The bathrooms were kids gross. There was poo stick to the inside of the toilet and there was hair stuck to the walls and sink. I would never go back again. the service was great and we had no issue with our server. unfortunately, my boyfriend got served wings that were bloody and inedible. I know you run the risk getting served undercooked food when you eat out, however, it was 2-3 pieces of chicken that were completely bloody. that is far from acceptable. When we first walked in I loved the atmosphere, it is like an old honkey tonk. We decided to go with a flight which was super reasonable, we got to try 8 beers for only $15. We really liked a lot of what we tried but the Steady As She Gose and the Golden Hour were definitely stand outs for us. As for food it is your general bar food but it was good. The deep fried mushrooms were crunchy on the outside but fresh on the inside. Our mushroom burger was huge and juicy the beer battered fries that came with it were also very good. This bar is absolutely adorable! The old vintage auto theme is so well done--full of nostalgic details and charming touches everywhere you look. We stopped in for their pretty sweet Bloody Mary bar, and that was definitely the highlight. The food and service were just okay, so I'm taking off two stars for the quality and attentiveness. Stopped in for beers (hoping for darks) and liunch on Sunday. Service was excellent from the door to the table service. Sadly, they were out of 2 of the 4 darks on the menu and the available were just ok. Really would have liked a good chocolate porter or stout. Menu prices are a bit higg for bar food, but there are some good offerings on the menu, which would make great shareables. The loaded fries with smoked pork and the potato skins w burnt ends are goid sized and tasty shareables. The pretzels are ihugw and tasty and msny folks there were very much enjoying the bloody mary bar....which has some tasty toppings and is priced right! Tap room was closed and looked like maybe not opening (moving supplies inside). Would have been a special treat to tour the brewery and try out the tap room! French dip and salad w shrimp skewer were both tasty. Onion rings good. Next time i would like to try the burnt ends (either a sand or on a salad), try a bloody Mary and get some more of their ahmazing house made bbq ranch sauce..... please keep that tap list dark friendly and interesting friends!!! read more

Stopped in at Rusty Truck Brewing about a month ago for a friend's birthday. It was a Saturday and during a Duck game. Place seemed relatively busy, but they are big enough to have had plenty of seating. My wife and I joined a group of 4 friends. They had already started with appetizers and some drinks. I got a Pepsi and my wife got a Strawberry ale of some kind that came in a mason jar drinking glass. My Pepsi was fine, but the strawberry ale was not good. I don't drink alcohol, but my wife only had 1/3 of it and apologized that she didn't drink it. Her best friend, whose birthday it was, also had one. Neither finished it. It didn't taste like strawberry or honey as the description said. They both said it was very bitter. They got a Dr. Pepper with Captain Morgan after that and both said that was very good. For food, my wife got the fish and chips. It was a decent portion size and she wasn't able to finish it. She said it was good, though. I tried a unique item (at least to me) -- a burger with bbq pulled pork, coleslaw, and an onion ring. I've had burgers and I've had pulled pork sandwiches, but never together. I was skeptical, but it actually works. It ends up being a pretty big bite. It got a bit messy to eat thanks to the coleslaw. However, it was very tasty. I'm surprised it actually works together. The fries were seasoned well and the portion size is very fair for the price. I would totally try one of these again if I had the opportunity. Overall, it is a sports bar. It isn't as brightly lit as a Buffalo Wild Wings; it is more like a standard bar in design and atmosphere, but they have a bunch of TVs, so I'll say it is a sports bar. The drinks are hit and miss, but the food was pretty good. We had a good time and ordering and paying was quick and easy. I would go back again and get the same burger/bbq pulled pork sandwich. We stopped here on our way to a wedding. It had plenty of parking and it looked like a large enough place to be able to sit five of us. We were able to walk in and we're immediately seated. They had indoor and outdoor options some seating. We ordered fish and chips, clam chowder, a cheeseburger, a steak salad and a baked potato. All portions were generous. We walked in on the evening of 03/28/2026. Dustin or Justin whatever his name was, looked straight at us, just kept talking to the person he was talking to. (no it was not a customer). He finally walked us to a table, but acted like it was a chore. I asked if he had any booths available, but if not that it was ok. He never even responded to me, walked by several open booths with no reserved on them, but he sat us at a table. I just ignored it cause that wasn't a big deal. I was like eh whatever. It was atleast 45 min before we got our drinks, and then he couldn't remember what we ordered for drinks or food so we had to remind him. We ordered a simple appetizer which was shrimp cocktail and we had to flag another waitress down to get that. We sat there for another 30 min or so, was going to have an entree but decided against it cause he never came over to check on us. He never said a word to us and he knew we were going to order but it didn't seem to bother him at all that we just left without eating the entree. His attitude was like he didn't give 2 sh*** which if that was my business, I would have a serious problem with. The other waitress was very apologetic, we reminded her it wasn't her fault, but it was greatly appreciated that she took the time to apologize. We have eaten there before and the meal we had was good which is why we went back so it was very disappointing to get that kind of service. That kind of service kept us from going there several times while we were in Lincoln city. Had we not gotten terrible service we would have probably eaten there several more times while we visited. We gave our business to the Pelican Brewing Company which was phenomenal on service, food, taste, drinks, etc. It is now the Rusty Bucket to us and we will not be back. I don't do a lot of reviews, and my husband has never been a complainer so for him to complain was a big deal but this constitutes a review due to the lack of caring and poor service on the waiters part. We were told that it's their policy to seat people with dogs outside on the porch. We explained that our dog is a service animal (complete with vest and attached license). The host repeated that it's their policy to seat ALL guests with dogs outside. I pointed out that it was dark and cold on their porch and then was told that they have heaters. No other diners were outside. ADA law allows service animals into all areas open to the general public. They clearly need to get educated! As far as the food? We'll never know as we don't do business with those that discriminate. Pelican Brewery, just south of there was amazing! Great food, service and atmosphere. We have been here a few times years ago, guess it was a while back in the peanuts on the ground days. We had a blast, eat dinner then partied in the bar which is not something we do, ever! Was very high on fun factor, Covid seems to have squelched most of that tone. Still nice enough and following Covid protocols but just not as much fun. well that is expect the bartender, she was awesome and I think there on our last visits. Not sure if she is the owners but awesome and working like she owns the place. Location: Great spot easy to find and park even large rusty trucks. Food: was okay, good menu but pretty much bar food here but great drinks. Lots of locals doing take out. Drinks: Oh, I said they were good already, well they were really good, dope! Tables: are well spaced out as were some of the customers, well that was another story. Value: really good YELPers please visit and tip that bartender. read more

I have read some prior Rusty Truck reviews that are less than stellar. The last time I visited here was about 20 years ago so I decided it was time to try it again. With that said, this review is based only on their weekend brunch. We liked it. My wife had the french toast, and I had the breakfast with potatoes, cheese, sausage all mixed up. My apologies about these descriptions because I can't remember the technical names for the breakfasts, but they were tasty and definitely large portions. And unlike another establishment this weekend, the waitress brought the condiments including Tabasco sauce automatically. Everything was there...no asking. I like that. The waitress was cool, experienced, casual and experienced. This weekend brunch was a definite step up from Dorry Cove or Pig n Pancake. I would go there again on the weekend for breakfast. read more

I hate to give a review like this, but... We went to Rusty Truck Brewing in Lincoln City for the first time tonight (2/9/24) and especially as they advertised prime rib dinners on Friday and Saturday nights. I am an avid lover of prime rib and will usually order it when it's on the menu, so I was excited. Review: FIrst of all, I ordered a glass of red wine and got it, literally, in a small, round water glass as opposed to a wine glass. Not a really big deal, but the first time I can remember not getting wine in a wine glass in a restaurant...ever. It's just kind of clumsy. Anyway, we both ordered prime rib dinners and I ordered a salad with ranch dressing. The salad did not come before the entree...again a first for me...and it came without any dressing. It was not a very good salad (limp lettuce, bad tomatoes, not properly plated) and definitely needed dressing. The prime rib was sad...pale pink, not very healthy looking, hard to cut and chew and even tho we ordered medium rare, it was definitely very rare. I have been eating prime rib for years and years and have never seen prime rib servings quite like these. The baked potato was good except I didn't get a choice as to what I wanted on it. I prefer just salt and pepper, butter and sour cream. I got bacon bits, cheese and sour cream...no butter. The vegetable was good and the dessert, pineapple upside down cake, was good. This was a very disappointing dinner and, needless to say, we will not be going back to this restaurant. I want to be sure to state that the servers and other staff were great...polite, friendly and helpful...the quality of the food is not their responsibility. We paid full price ($115) + 20% tip as, again, the servers did their job. Very, very, very disappointed! read more

I remember this restaurant from a visit in 2018. It was hopping with a wait to get in. Today there were only a handful of customers. Service is awkward with ordering at the counter, but after that, everything was like a normal restaurant (visits from staff, delivery of food, etc.). Great Bloody Mary's and only $6 each on Fridays and Saturdays. Food was adequate but very pricey. Dinner for two was $60. Finally, it's Saturday and free to hit Rusty Truck. My brother said the Clam Chowder is the best on the coast. Ran up from Newport to try some. I pull into the parking lot to find the restaurant is dark. They are remodeling the restaurant and will restructure the menu and organization. They expect to be back open in May. Found the taproom open in the brewery. I went in and had a rack of tasters. Good beer. read more

Food was terrible. We had a larger family group, 3 kids and 7 adults and it was $500 for some of the worst food I've had. We have never paid that much for our family meal. I ordered the 8oz steak, 40 bucks, and it was the driest steak I can remember having and it was so hard to cut and chewy though I ordered medium rare. I asked for no mushrooms but it of course was smothered in them. The green beans were whole but not fresh and were very soggy and there was no flavor to virtually anything on my plate. My 11 year old daughter was the only one happy with her meal and she got the chicken strips. I can get a better cut of meat at the deli for a fraction of the price and 10x the flavor. We were also the only diners but our drink cups remained empty for probably 20 minutes, appetizers took about 30 minutes, and the food came out a couple plates at a time with wait time between. We dropped A LOT of money and unfortunately they will never get that much from us again. read more
