When we got to the dealership we were surprised to see the price had increased significantly from Monday's internet price. We asked if they would honor the original price and they refused. Their finance manager said car prices fluctuate daily and there was no negotiating it. Then he had the balls to start pushing extended warranty and paint sealant, ... I do not recommend first time buyers or someone who isn't experienced with purchasing a vehicle to step foot into this business. We were ready to purchase a used 2021 Tahoe listed for $50,733. Mr. Hamby wrote down our dream APR, monthly and down payment we then were asked to sign the paper so he can go to his manager. A blank printer paper with his handwriting! Right away I knew we were at the wrong place. He came back and it only got worse. They ran our credit, came back and the total was 82,000 for the vehicle, there were unnecessary add ons like exterior coat paint coverage, because we live in the valley this is necessary due to all the bugs. We didn't even want to hear about the other add ons after that. We said absolutely not so he went back to the office and said let me see what we can do. Then Mr. Rodriguez came out to talk to us with more non sense and insane numbers. We got up and walked away. Magically the numbers went down $15,000 on our way out of the parking lot. It was a waste of our time, and I truly can't imagine how many people have fallen victims of their high prices. One week later we purchased a brand new GMC Sierra 1500 duramax from Alfred Matthews GMC in Modesto and they were exceptional. We wanted a Tahoe but when we saw this truck we switched our mind and we are glad we made the drive to Modesto. There were no add ons. We had our Chevrolet Truck serviced here. An oil change and a tire rotation. Now I am wondering whether any of the serrvices were ever completed. The service depart had my truck the entire day. I called several times to check on the vehicle. After keeping the car the entire day, I was told to come and get the truck. I had previously had a leak in the right front tire. So when the rotation was completed that tire should have been moved elsewhere. The tire rotation was never completed. The tire with the slow leak was in the same place as it was before servicing. I contacted the service manager and he appeared to be livid upon hearing this. He assured me that the person would be terminated and I said, that was not my objective. He said that he needed to make an example. Was my oil change completed? He asked me to reach out to him when I needed service again. He promised that he would make things right, when we returned, Of course when I called him back again he offered me nothing! He claimed he knew who I was and all he said was that he would ensure my entire service was completed in the future. We paid over 250.00 for the service that was likely never rendered. How do you trust this? We know for a fact they never rotated the tires. Di they complete the oil change or not? read more

Typical bait and switch. Called to confirm options and pricing for a vehicle prior to driving to the lot and when I sat down to sign the invoice it had $7k added to what was discussed. I wish I could give zero stars! I bought a 2018 GMC truck from them about 6 months ago. I was informed of a few repairs that needed done by the general manager. Specifically it was a crack in the windshield and a missing hubcap. I ultimately wanted to purchase the truck and so we came to the agreement that they would be having the repairs done. I waited for them to contact me and a few months went by... nothing. So I contact them and get told that the GM no longer works there and the new GM tells me to go ahead and get the repairs done and I will be reimbursed. I do so and submit all the receipts to them in early May 2022. Months go by with yet again with no word from them. When I do call I am told that THAT GM no longer works there. I was promised yet again that this would be taken care of by the new GM, Ed Montilla. Now I feel I have given him plenty of time to make this right and done my fair share of reaching out to them and staying in contact. The cost of the repairs was not a huge deal to me. However, being a business owner myself, I take it seriously when making promises to my customers and I feel I should receive that same respect. They have already lost my business. My wife and I purchased a brand new Cadillac XT5 from Mataga GMC last month with no intention of ever doing business with Gill GMC again. read more

Can never get through to anyone to make a simple appointment, no shuttles "due to covid", no diag's for GM's "due to covid", yet every other dealership in the Valley offers both right now. The "Service" Department is a nightmare. The earliest appointment was over a month out which is understandable to some degree because of supply chain issues, etc., but on the morning of the appt. and while I was driving to Gill, the service "manager" Mike Dusan called to ask me if I could drop off my vehicle at a later date becuase they are short 6/10 mechanics. They initially told me that it would be within 24 hrs to diagnose the problem of vehicle. after calling every other day to find out the status, they told me that it would probably be tomorrow and this went on for a week. They never returned my calls and could never provide a straight answer. They are completely lost and it showed on all fronts. Finally they said that I could pick up my vehicle if I wanted, so I did, It was never looked at and upon picking up my vehicle Mike didnt even acknowledge me. No appology, remorse or anything for completely inconveniencing my life for a week. I will have my vehicle repaired at another dealership and then trade it in for a $75,000 brand new 2023 model. They not only lost my business to future sales but trust that word of mouth is very powerful and I will be extremely vocal about my horrible experiance for years to come. Take my advice and run from their circus of unprofessionalism, ineptness, lies and deception. Gill is a bunch of amatures at business but professional crooks. Run! read more

If you're getting anything more than an oil change I do not recommend Gil. Had my truck in there because I had some play in my steering wheel and they misdiagnosed it replace a steering shaft in the meantime they broke a part to my airbag and then after picking up the vehicle I noticed that they did not put in the rubber grommet that seals the engine bay to the cab so I took it back and then they reinstalled it in properly and still have not fix the problem there's service techs are terrible I do not recommend Gill automotive group for any services other than oil changes. read more

Wow. Not sure where to start. Tried to get through on the phone for a couple of days with little to no response. Against my better judgement I went in anyways. Stood in the waiting room for a couple of minutes before being greeted. I knew what I want, just needed to get an order placed. They didn't even have to "woo" me. Eventually I am directed to Joe. Joe wasn't wearing his mask. I was uncomfortable & didn't want to have to ask him to put it on but I finally decided to because he kept touching his nose & over all I was just too uncomfortable being that close to someone with no mask . He covers his mouth only. I said can you please wear your mask correctly. He said "I have it on" I said um... please cover your nose too, I have asthma & really do not want COVID. I could tell he was annoyed with me, but oh well. We start going through options & apparently I know more about this vehicle than Joe. He was asking me if I want specific options... which are actually standard with the package I asked for. He seemed pretty confused. He also had a really hard time keeping that darn mask on even after our conversation. I decided I didn't want the rona from this guy, or a new car from this dealership, so I ended up leaving. I don't really feel bad for this review.. being that they didn't have the time to take my phone call in the first place, they must not need my business. read more

When the smart ass finance manager Miguel told me they only $100 to $200 for each car they sell, I said he full of shit. Each car the dealership only making $100 to $200 per car they need a better business. Same day call Steves Buick in Oakdale and got exact same Buick for $4000 cheaper. This dealership was purchase from great owner Chris Pistoresi who I purchase 2 prior vehicle from and new owner ran into ground just cashing in on Pistoresi loyal customer base. My wife has frequently visited this location for work on her car. I brought her vehicle in today because the last time she visited they neglected to program the tire sensors after they were rotated. They did not attempt to charge to rectify the situation at least. I asked if they could fix a flat at a discounted rate for the inconvenience and the gentleman said it would be an hour plus to get that answer. I want to point out I did NOT ask for a free service just discounted a bit. It should not be a big deal for a small discount. If management is not trusted with those kinds of decisions you need to ask yourself why. My other complaint comes with the fact that she asked the service dept if they could throw a cabin filter in her car. They said sure but then charged her 40.00 for a job I could do in 5 minutes. In the back of my mind I have to ask why would they charge so much for a 5 minute job. If it takes them longer then that presents a whole other set of questions. read more

I have taken my 2012 GMC Terrain SLT2 for servicing/repair to Gill Buick GMC Cadillac since purchasing the vehicle in April 2012. I've taken my small SUV nowhere else. I live in Fresno and travel to Madera and Gill and have always waited at the dealership for my vehicle to be serviced or repaired and without fail the service has proven to be quick --a fast in and a fast out. Regular interval service usually takes no more than 45 minutes to complete. I've had a couple of repairs over the past year (my car just turned over 62K) and again, the Gill service staff have gotten me in, out and back on the road in one to two hours max. With each visit the staff has always been professional and courteous and the service writers have always taken the time to answer and explain any questions I may have as well as alert me to future service needs and issues to be on the lookout for with my Terrain. It has been well worth the 30 minute drive from Fresno to Madera the past 3 1/2 years for the quality service I've received each time from Gill. I have nothing but high praise for Gill Buick GMC Cadillac. read more

They are HORRIBLE, ***do NOT buy from this dealership. This is my very first car buying experience and it was completely ruined. They brought me the car I asked to look at but did not bother telling me it was damaged. It was dark so they parked the damaged side where I couldn't see. The fraudulent car facts they gave me mentioned no where about the car being in an accident. (I learned later that dealerships pay cash to fix damaged cars to avoid reporting damage or accidents to Car Facts). They sold the car to me with tires with no tread. I almost slid off the freeway the first time I drove it. There had been no oil change or maintenance to the car. I'm a 22 year old single mom so my grandfather went to confront the dealership about the bad sale for me. This pasty white man came out the back and laughed in my grandfathers face and denied the damage to car. He was rude and basically spat in my grandfather's face. And Rosalind Larson, the best and funniest Finance Manager, I have ever dealt with was awesome. She made the final process of the lease a breeze. She took the time to explain the lease program in detail to me, went over all the paper work with me in detail, and was patient in answering all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed or pressured to purchase "additional items" like those "warranty" plans for the paint, carpet, and who know what else. LOL!!
