Review for MANS Auto - Unfortunate Experience with Customer Service I came across MANS Auto while browsing Groupon for an oil change and was initially impressed by the positive ratings and reviews. I always check reviews before choosing a place to ensure they treat customers right and offer honest service. That's what led me to call them directly and ask about the Groupon deal they were advertising. During the call, I mentioned I had a Groupon and asked about the requirements for booking an appointment. While the man on the phone (whose name I didn't catch) began scheduling me, he informed me there would be an additional $25 charge for an oil filter replacement and oil disposal -- on top of the $50 Groupon. I let him know that the extra cost was a bit high for me and was simply trying to understand the full pricing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Before I could finish explaining or ask any follow-up questions, he cut me off, talked over me, and told me to go find someplace cheaper -- then abruptly hung up. I was shocked at how dismissive and rude he was. There was no attempt to clarify, help, or even show basic courtesy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Customer service means a lot to me, and this experience was a red flag. I take good care of my car and expect the same level of care and professionalism from anyone I trust to work on it. If someone is quick to hang up on a potential customer, I can only imagine how they might handle customers' vehicles behind closed doors. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend MANS Auto. Respect and professionalism go a long way, and I hope they consider improving how they treat people on the phone -- it's the first impression that matters most. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Brian is the hardest and shadiest person to do business with.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had came for front brake pad/ oil change package for $200 for a sedan and he recommended new rotors because one of them had a slight heat spot but i had told them their only about 10-15,000 miles old (they run for about 30k to 50k miles) and he responded by refusing service unless i bought 2 new rotors. My family comes from mechanics. when i asked how much for the new rotors he said $290 on top of the $200. So for 4 new brake pads and 4 rotors on all 4 tires, he is charging $800(shouldnt be paying even half of that for 4 new rotors alone). when i only came in for $200. Even if my rotors were completely destroyed that price is laughable especially for the quality of service. I still went thru with the oil change and tire rotation because of my busy schedule. But even then Brians level of service was horrible compared to the years of mechanics i've grown up around. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When rotating the tires he had asked me what i think and where each tire should go and then when i gave my piece of mind he told me i only have one option and it's the way he wants.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]He didn't understand what pigeon toed meant for my tires and even when i explained it he acted like a ignorant child.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]In the end i had to go back and fourth to get the tires the way i wanted on MY CAR.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He then had said "he would refund the voucher for the brake pads" and me never using a voucher had taken it as he would do something on his end to refund the voucher. He never took any action to refund and when i called he said he cannot help me. I had our conversations and interactions recorded ahead of time and lucky enough my family also comes from lawyers so i am pursuing a small legal claim for (Breach of Contract, California's Business and Professions Code § 17200, California Civil Code § 1770) I am doing it simply out of spite but thats besides the point. read more

I got a Groupon for this auto center, since my car takes full synthetic I wanted to see what else is out there as far as places I could get my car checked out at besides Pep Boys. The Groupon was about $63 for an oil change as well as a tire rotation. That sounded really nice, but since my car takes an extra quart and a half they would charge me for the extra along with an oil filter disposal fee for another $40 DOLLARS. In total my oil change came out to be $104 and some change. Prior to setting up the appointment it took me almost two days just to reach them to schedule I kept getting a voicemail even during business hours. Everything seemed fine the receptionist was friendly, but overall it was quite a weird experience for me to have my car sitting out on the street instead of in their parking stalls. read more

I found them on Groupon while looking for an oil change. I called them because it said it requires a 48 hour prior set appointment. Because I was leaving town soon, Brian got me in the same day. He honored the Groupon rates without having to go through Groupon. Finding it is a tad difficult. It's in a cul-de-sac and through a fence. But once I was in, I was directed to the office and was helped immediately. On the phone, Brian estimated my oil change and tire rotation would take about an hour. That's exactly how long it took and the mechanic came in and told me how things went. This was my first time going here and will definitely NOT be my last. They were all great! read more

I had them work on my White 2003 Honda Accord. I would pay in cash because I would always save for a rainy day. They charged me and more problems would come up. I explained,my wife was ill!! I had to work. They want to rebuild my motor.. I was devastated!! They still want to get paid? My wife passed.. Had some other mechanic look and fix my Honda Accord all it need it was a blown head!!! He quoted me $682 for parts when I found them all for $195, or even $158. I don't mind paying $100 an hour for labor, but when your mechanic is banking off of the parts, that is sleazy. He says he gets them at O'Reilly's which is much more expensive than Auto Zone, but even with O'Reilly's expensive quote online, he is still pocketing a couple hundred. I almost sold my car because I couldn't afford the repair he quoted me at. What's even more messed up is I thought me and him were friends. I actually referred him to some people. He acts all cool with you, but when it matters (the price you pay for the service you receive), I believe I could have got messed over. Came here because my friend told me about this place. Brought my car in to them for diagnostic about the leaked, hoping they could fix it, then they told me some shit where it's coming from.... i was iffy what they told me. I asked if they could show me where and they refuse for me to come in and explain to me where is the leak coming from. I didn't really trust them because they don't let you watch if they really doing the oil change or if they really fixing the car. I came to Clawson Honda and they are happy to explain to me what they are gonna do and also give me detailed information. And there it's for sure that they are doing the right job cuz you can see what they're doing. Their front desk clerk are also rude and suspicious. They charged me $90 for 15min diagnostic. It's not even that long and I feel like they didn't even check my car I feel like that just took a glance and oh! Ok I know what's the problem is! People here are so unprofessional. Which is the fastest I've ever had that done anywhere Brian is very professional and is an honest man. I had a groupon that I could not purchase through the app as all I had was cash. I highly recommend these guys, they care about their quality of work, the integrity of their business and will do what it takes to make something right if it is not correct. I had an issue with my vehicle out of town, and I called my mechanic/owner of MANNs Brian and not only did he set me up with a mechanic out of town but he made sure I was safe, I had transportation back to Fresno, mind you I was four hours north. Brian stuck with me through the entire process and made sure everything played out correctly as if he was sitting next to me. I cannot think Mann's auto and the ownership enough for what they did for me this past week.
