This year we were thinking hours reduced low staff etc. These are the most phenomenal bartenders I've ever come across here at Gilmos, other than my past favorites. They hung with us, laughed with 6 played fun games with .these guys made us fun drinks! They accomdidayed my mom who is ill, lauaghed and cried with me, they did not get Over whelemed woth an entire resteraunts plus 20 additional guests! Come hang. Went on a for fun drive and found Gilmo's Bar & Bistro in little Sturgeon. Beautifull location on the water. Staff was very friendly, service was very good. I ordered the "Wave Melt", a rib eye steak on rye with haystack onions, Swiss cheese and a nice choice of sides. Very very good and a nice big size, plan on going back. read more

We did take out so we could eat on our balcony off our room. Hamburger was dry and burnt, and steak on sandwich was so fatty I had to pick most of it off. Food is really overpriced! People from pool were in bar with bare feet. Yuck! Nice bartenders though. read more

Waited over 1/2 hr to get menu's and place our order. Ordered drinks and Placed our order waited an hour for food and came out wrong and also not right. Plus we went to the bar to reorder drinks that we never got. I mean how hard is it to make a grilled cheese? They put the bread in a toaster and slapped two pieces of cheese between them. My wife and I were camping in the area and decided to give this place a try, we love eating water side when we can in summer. We showed up right when they opened and asked for a spot outside. I will say their outside dining area does leave a lit bit to desire. You really are not looking at the marina, you pretty much are right next to the resorts pool. It wasn't to bad, we picked a table off to the side so we could kind of see the water. Our waitress was super friendly and very helpful. My wife got some sort of a french dip sammich and I got a burger. We were both very pleased with our food and their fries were tasty too. I got a bloody mary and she got an old fashioned and they were good as well. All in all even though their outside dining area was just okay we did enjoy our food and took a nice walk down by the boats afterwards. read more

We came here for a company holiday party. This is the restaurant is part of the Wave Pointe Marina and Resort. It is located downstsirs. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The bar is pretty complete with 2 baristas during peak times. They were very attentive serving customers promptly. The menu is rather modest, but has a variety of popular items. All the choices that other people ordered looked delicious causing me to wonder if I should have ordered differently. I ordered a supreme pizza. Our orders were placed the day before to give the staff time to prepare for this event. We were to be served at 7pm, and the first plate came out at straight up 7pm. As I stated all the food looked delicious. My pizza was very good. The crust was thin abd crispy, hand tossed and brisk oven baked. It had a slight smoky flavor to it. There was a good amount of sauce. The toppings were nicely distributed with an adequate amount of cheese. This 12" pizza was more than I should have eaten, but it was so good it was gone before I knew it. This one will forever live in my "Best Pizza" list. read more

We went for dinner last night, sat down at a corner table. Nobody came over. After about 15 mins, I went to the bartender and asked if we could order. He said he'd send over a waitress. Nobody came. The bartender came back another 15 mins later with some water and we told him all we wanted to order was a pizza. The waitress brought our pizza out, we asked for some Parmesan, she brought it when we had about 2 pieces of pizza left. There were few people in there. It seemed like the people at the bar were regulars and if you were from out of town, you were out of luck. We were tired and there wasn't a lot of other options for dinner. Save your money go somewhere else. I've gone to this establishment for years and used to work their yrs ago. Has been a gradual decline in service and quality. Has hit an all time low, Service was horrible food was over cooked resembled something that was reheated waited an hour just to eat their special was so thrilled that it wasn't what I ordered if I wanted a burnt steak I'm sure I could do it myself, waitress asked if everything was all right I asked her do you want the truth or do I lie to you she said the truth the moment I said I wasn't happy she walked away didn't even bother to ask what was wrong. My wife and I went in wave point to see if it might be a good place to stay next year, We drove around the area and then stopped in to the restaurant around 130-2 on Sunday Sept 12, 2021. I have heard that things had change there and I had not been there in maybe 10 years. It wasn't busy I think 3 people at the bar and 1 other table inside. We sat down at a table and no one came to our table for 15 min, then a busser said some one would be with us soon from the distance. Then 10 more min. a woman came from in the back and was rude. said how can I help you. My wife ask for what the Sauv blanc brand was and she said it doesnt matter and she would look, then left. I got up and left and told her we were going into town and she had something smart to say. We went to Inn at Cedar Crossing and had a great meal. When I told the server there how we were treated she stated they have had a lot of problems and most locals wont go there. I did leave a message for the Gm and as of today I havent received a call back. I wont go back, there is plenty of places that are better read more

We went on a Monday and it was not busy at all. Our server was quick and very polite. The food was good and had a lot of flavor.

I look forward to eating prime rib here at Gilmo's Restaurant at Wave Pointe Marina, Little Sturgeon, Wi I plan my get aways here at the resort hoping I can be here on Sunday for a massive cut of the best Prime Rib ever!!!! The chef accomodates me and his au jus is meat au jus not a powdery mix. read more

Getting better! With new ownership (last was receivership) they seem to be doing it right. Unfortunately one of the few places you can get to by boat that has slips to tie up at while you eat. We went there for lunch on Sunday and were pleasantly surprised at how much better the food was then last year. Drinks were good too and dock hands very helpful. Will go again. read more

It was ok nothing that knocked my socks off. The beer selection is very weak. The portions are huge. Staff was fine. Very average.

Ate here 3 times and evertime it was consistent and delicious. We will continue to come back and recommend it. Clean!

Good food, good drinks (they have a happy hour every day between 3 and 5), so basically a good place to tie up your boat for a quick bite. Definitely much better than sunset aka the place that overcharges for terrible deep fried food.. read more
