There are some awesome shops down here. My favs are Off 5th, Hurley and Volcom. Avoid the American Apparel store since they sell reject items. Plus, there is an In&Out for when you work up a hunger from blowing all your money. read more

I really like this outlet, but I wish all the stores were closer just like the other outlets i have been to like the Livermore Outlet and the Great Mall. Besides the stores being too spread apart, this outlet is amazing. It has a similar layout as the cabazon outlet down in Southern California if you are familiar with outlets around the LA area. They have a great selection of stores, as i think it might be bigger and has more stores that any of the outlets i have been to. Maybe one advantage i guess of being too spread apart is that there a bunch of great restaurants across the street which you could enjoy compared to the limited food court at the Livermore Outlet. They have great sales going on, and here you can find all major brands. Parking wasn't a problem for me here even on the weekends as there is plenty of parking since maybe half of the people walk to the next set of stores while the other half take their cars, as some stores are too spread apart. Considering the fact that these stores are literally in the middle of nowhere this was a great find. Its about 2 hours NW of Fresno. They have ever store that you expect from the Premium Outlets and some pretty good deals. The Coach store was so freaking crowded I couldn't even stand it. However, most of the other stores were nice and didn't have long lines. We made the mistake of leaving Fresno around 1p. So we didn't get to Gilroy until 3p. That didn't give us too much time to shop before having to turn back around. But it was a good thing, b/c I didn't spend as much as I could have if I'd had more time. I had low expectations coming here from reading other people's reviews and it was better than I expected. I came looking for something to wear to a wedding and didn't find anything for that but did get some other random fun stuff. I'm not that lazy of a person but if I walked from each section to the next I would for sure be a whiner by the end of the day. Luckily it was the middle of a weekday and there was easy parking in each center. You should seriously consider the little coupon book (free with AAA card, $5 otherwise) it has some pretty good deals. Like the new balance running shoes that fit my feet like they were made for me, $145 at the running store... $99 at the outlet... and 50% off with a coupon! Yeah, that's pretty much 2/3 off retail. This is THE best place to shop for bargains after the holiday season. Most stores were offering 50% to 75% off. It's your typical outlet mall shopping experience, but not very crowded on on a Sunday afternoon (at least not today). Where do you take friends from out-of-town on a lovely Saturday afternoon? To the Gilroy Outlets, of course!! The only thing I missed were buying some garlic fries and something from my favorite brand--MaxStudio. And I think the only reason I bought something from Coach was because it seemed like all of the women who were shopping at the Outlets were in this store. I ended up with this casual-style purse that had smeared "C's." I was told by the sales associate that they were supposed to be like that as the purse was funky and had that artistic altered look. I ended up liking this purse anyway, but when I looked at their website, those "C's" were not at all smeared. Damn you, saleswoman!!!! All in all, I got pretty great deals including Prada sunglasses that were less than $100!!! read more

I feel like the idea of going here is always better than actually being here. I've never had a hard time finding parking...but then again I am comparing it to finding parking at Valley Fair during the holiday season. I rarely find something that I actually like here that fits me and is at a price I feel it should be. Nike outlet is cool...Gap is decent...Vans is cool...I am not a Coach whore unfortunately. The line for that store sometimes is just ridiculous. Maybe next time I go, I'll check out Jcrew and I think theres a Banana Republic there too... As a whole, this place sucks. Very depressing. There are only a few shops I'd go to and most of them are for my boyfriend (Calvin Klein, Van Heusen, Banana Republic). Actually, I can't think of any store I'd stop by for myself besides maybe the Cosmetic Company. However, one nice thing about this place is when you buy from one store, you get a coupon for another store. Only problem is the coupon you get may not be for a store you want. The drive isn't worth it for me when I could just go to the Great Mall. Plus, other stores like Hugo Boss, Saks, and Kenneth Cole are still too expensive regardless of outlet prices and additional sales. read more

VF for undies, swim suits and sporty fits, sometimes kiddy clothes. Rocky Mt. I always recommend coming weekdays. It's usually slower. But if you are in it for the deals be ready for crowds a majority of the sales start in the weekend. They got MK, Banana Republic, Lululemon, Gap, and the list goes on. A little of a drive but it's not a bad stop to hit the many shops. Weekends are a mad house - too busy, takes out the pleasure from shopping. Try going on a weekday, it really is quite pleasant. Just shopped there on Friday after quite a few years, very happy to see they have added lanes both ways so the congested area is not so bad anymore. Like others, you expect to find bargains at this outlet stores. It really depends on your luck - there are times when you score some steals and times when you wish you didn't make the trip. Lots of shops spaced out over 4 malls. This is the annoying part, for example to get to one part you basically have to take your chances across a wide 5 line road (or drive the car around which seems stupid). Quite a wide variety of shops for everyday living type stuff. Gap outlet was particularly good but probably changes with what they get in when, etc. You definitely want to get the coupon book someone else mentioned. If you sign up at https://www.premiumoutlets.com/ to the "VIP Club" you can print out coupons and get a voucher to get a coupon book at the information desk there. Coupon value varies, some are valid with only non-sales items, but many were valid if you spent over a certain amount ($75-$100 generally). Savings were pretty good, usually about 15-20%. However, also grab some of the pamphlets around as they often have even better coupons. Not a great deal of good food around, so don't plan on a grand lunch. Was not busy early (~10am) but was getting a bit more hectic when we left around 2pm. read more

You can find GREAT deals here but if you go on the weekends: Parking SUCKS! Dont bother driving to the other side of the mall. You'll need to walk or you'll spend half the day looking for a parking spot. If you plan on spending lots of $$$ there , go to the outlet info desk and pick up the "VIP" card. Ridiculously long drive from me (mid peninsula) but worth it for discounted shopping! I love how it isn't poor quality since it's name brand (not necessarily good) and cheaper than retail prices in a shopping mall. They have a few great stores I like to hit up everytime, and they have so many stores that stores for parents, kids, chefs, athletes,etc will all have something to look foward to. I have a love/hate relationship with the set up though. I'm a little too lazy to walk to each of the 4 strips since it seems like it's always a bajillion degrees down there. But its a little too short to turn on a car and drive to. What am I complaining about! A few years ago, I would have given this place a 5. A starry-eyed first timer, the plethora of four gargantuan shopping spots stuffed with brand name stores was like some impossible dream come true. Yeah, I bought stuff and only had enough time to hit 3/4 spots. I came home a happy camper and vowed to never shop at the likes of regular malls ever again when I could get the same stuff for cheaper. Unfortunately, that first time was my only happy experience... Next visit; everything was whack. It was crowded, flippin 100 degrees, clothes selection were UGLY!?, and then ones that were decent weren't even discounted. What the fak Gilroy, why'd you give me so much hope then dump all that hope out the window and replace it with garbage. I've been here several times since then, frequently hitting all spots and coming home with NATHING, besides jelly beans or a pretzel. This is so lame, I could cryyyyy. I love shopping here, even if the weather can negatively affect my experience sometimes, I am a reasonable person- I understand that this is not really controllable and therefore will not deduct any stars. However, this review concerns their policy on vandalism (essentially, their motto. "Our Pants Cannot Wait For Your Pee"). I am so so honored to have such a welcoming environment for all here in Gilroy. We were there in the late afternoon this Saturday, we stayed until they closed at 9pm. It was not crowded and very comfy weather. This place can be very hot in the summer. Only 30 minutes drive from San Jose when there is no traffic. I like the selections in the Nike and Skechers store, but not the Adidas store. Though this is named a Outlets mall, many stores are NOT real brand-name outlet stores, they just sell regular stuffs. So it is important to know the regular price of stuffs. Gilroy has several stores to pick from but one has to drive to the varying sections. You may wish to plan your day by picking the stores ahead of time as they are spread apart. I found a Jelly Belly outlet and of course had to buy 2lbs. of jellybeans. We obviously needed the Jelly belly's to keep our energy levels up to do more shopping. I confess that I have visited most of the outlets that are out there. I like coming here just for the sake of saving money when I can. I don't live far, so it's not heavy on the wallet to make the drive out. My main problem with the area is the parking accommodations. They really should have more parking, what with the busloads of tourists that come in to shop, on top of customers that come in from near and far in their own cars. The hassles of finding parking here, and I'm not even going to talk about the tourists that clog the place, is enough of a deterrent to say "Meh, eff it, I got my Amazon Prime. I'll just go online and I can find promo codes to save as much, too." But the prices in the stores make the hassles worth it, depending on how urgent a need the customer has to purchase. For myself, when I want to buy gifts that run up to expensive at MSRP, I just come in to shop super early and parking's fine. Therein lies the rub: I've the advantage of being a resident near the area when I'm not away for school. Plan your trips here accordingly. Bathrooms are alright too, but I've visited more than one too many times when the facilities were out of hand soap. Ladies, do yourselves a favor and buy a cheap small plastic bottle, fill it with your favorite hand soap, screw the lid on tight, and stash it in a ziploc baggy before placing it inside your purse. read more

If you are in Gilroy and need to kill time go here, plenty of shops to visit at great prices. I make sure to stop in the clothes shops and my husband makes sure to visit the tech shops like bose. There is plenty of food here like In-N-Out and Ginger Café. Lot of parking here, you shouldn't have any issues unless its a holiday. read more

Insane during weekends, so go early or on weekdays. Shops are good with some really good deals. Picked up a pair of leather gloves from Wilson leather for $6 and a few great pairs of pants at Ann Taylor for $30 each. Coach was a total zoo, and so was Nike. Dropped by Auntie Annie's pretzel place and felt nauseous after eating their cinnamon sugar regular pretzel. I had those before at different locations but this one was plain nasty. Shopping?? YES!! Gilroy? Sure! This place has some pretty awesome stores. The drive from SF can be brutal (about 2 hrs) but it's well worth it if you can find some deals here. They got great stores like BCBG, Coach, Cole Haan, BR, JCrew, Off Saks 5th, Guess, etc. Everything is spread among 4 mini malls next to each other so some strategy could be helpful. Make sure you have some cold beverage with you as you walk around since it's flipping hot in Gilroy or pay the 1.50 for the 20oz sodas from the machines. I give this place 3 stars because the deals were crazy enough for me to buy alot, but decent for a day trip out here. read more

This place is HUGE - from what I saw there are 3 distinct areas. This outlet is like any other outlet malls - same stores same prices same selections. The one thing I will say is Saks Fifth Ave has a very extensive collection of designer items so if you're looking for a fly bag or some sweet shoes this is the place to come. The other stores had OK selection - nothing worth mentioning...yet somehow I still ended up with 6 bags and hefty credit card bill :) Worth stopping by but not worth visiting on the regular. read more

Anytime I go there, I find something to get.. how can you not? 4 huge broken off sections... If you cant score 1 thing, with all the discount prices and deals (depending on when you go there) I dont know what to say. I usually go there to bring my family.. and i always find something to spend money on. Place can get really crowded and parking can be A BIOOOTCH AT TIMES!!! I wish they had more trees in the parking area.. on a hot day it sucks!!! If you dont live near Gilroy.. you usually have to drive the distance ..I live in Burlingame... OK, so my friend kept telling me what a great place this is. One Saturday, I made my husband and daughter make the trip with me to the stores. Sony had great prices according to my husband! But that's about where the good prices ended. We went to all of the children stores and each stop 3 -5 items cost us about $60+ How is it an outlet? I am not quite sure. I go to the children's place in the great mall and buy and buy and buy and it all ends up costing about $60 - 70. Why is this place an outlet and more expensive? Not sure again. Motherhood Maternity prices were also about the regular prices with probably less variety. I bought 2 tops, 1 dress and a shorts+top outfit and that for a total of $120. Why?????? Shoes were also not much better, that I decided not to buy any. I am not returning. The great Mall has better discounts, variety and a way better organization. And to top it all, it is indoors! I also heard good things about the tracy outlets, will try them sometime. I guess after recovering from this shopping spree. read more

Gilroy Outlets is one, if not, the oldest outlet mall in the South Bay. Despite of having Livermore now as the premier outlet to go to, I still like going to Gilroy. They have the stores I totally dig such as Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein, BR, and etc. Also, I have noticed that the place is less crowded now, perhaps because of the Livermore Premium Outlets and the economy, so the parking is less worrisome. It is 40 minutes away too from San Jose, so I prefer going there if I really have to buy gifts for an affordable price. Therefore, I still think Gilroy Outlet is still a good place to go too...heck, if nothing else works, there is always In and Out burger to indulged on! read more

This mall is my local mall. In my opinion, the quality of the Mall has generally gone somewhat uphill. Even the merchandise in the better stores is better and the service from years past. I appreciate having this place in my backyard... I especially like all the shoe stores and Disney Store. read more

Gilroy premium outlets or one of my favorite outlet malls of all! They have a ton of stores and really grey prices . I was able to get a pair of jeans from the gap for $11 that's insane! Crowded, too spread out and the customers generally suck. The one thing this place does have is sales and great prices. This is a "true outlet" where a lot of the stuff is factory seconds. Columbia, Northface, Izumi, lululemon and Ariat make it worth the trip. Nike store is always crowded and is absolutely nothing special. I understand that the Coach store is pretty awesome but not my thing. So in summary, if good prices make it worth your while to deal with long lines and unhinged kids then it is a great place. I enjoy going to the outlets, is a great place to go with my husband and girls. We make it a whole day we try to be their early especially in the weekends to get good parking.
