Then on two occasions I brought my vehicle in for service before taking road trips and got stuck a thousand miles from home when something broke that they should have fixed. The first time, I was driving to Colorado and the car quit when I reached the Rockies. Turns out the air filter hadn't been cleaned or replaced. When I returned home, I told Happy's what had happened and their explanation was that the filter got dirty between home and Colorado, and they hadn't done anything wrong. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and a few months later got my brakes done before a trip to New York. By the middle of Pennsylvania, the brakes were squeaking and pulsating so badly that I had to limp to a local garage that my sister recommended. They redid the job for about 2/3 the cost of what I'd paid Happy's. That was when I decided to take my business elsewhere.

I dont even know where to start. The manager, as the place was empty. There are never customers…read morehere's hes in the lobby sitting on his phone. Almost mad I even walked in the building . Told him id like a standard oil change or the cheapest in can get. Right off the bat, "you have a car that requires the most expensive oil change". Go figure right. I told him numerous times that I want the standard synthetic 75$ oil change. As I know cars, yes not the best oil for my car but I needed to get buy for 3k miles. Then I asked for a tire rotation. He walked out the side of the door and told me hed lead me in. Again cranky as heck. As we are outside i show him a coupon that states "we miss you 25$ off any oil change" no restrictions besides the expiration date which wasnt for another month. He stated "that code for that coupon wont work for this oil change." Literally argued with me as I said it says nothing about having ANY RESTRICTIONS and it says ANY OIL CHANGE. So at that point I said screw it i just want the oil change no rotation. He leads me in and does the oil change. Has me signs some papers and once again argued with me about the type of oil change I wanted. I stated I didnt care. As long as it was a synthetic oil it didnt matter. The standard synthetic is 75$. At the end of my oil change which took about 20 min he asks for payment I give him my card and magically asks for the coupon code cuz somehow NOW it will work.... I get my receipt.. HE CHARGED ME FOR THE MOST EXPENSIVE OIL CHANGE FOR 116$, with coupon it came to 100 even. The man was so combative with me to begin with i wasnt even gonna argue with him and was going to call the manager and file a complaint. Not know this guy was SOMEHOW THE MANAGER. After leaving 3 voicemails over the course of 2 weeks i hear nothing. Yesterday I notice somthing sticking out of the hood of my car in the front. A needle nose pliers he slammed in the hood and dented the front of my car. (It was minor) So I drove there. Low and behold, no customers there as id figure. Place is a dead zone and obviously can see why. My mother was with me as I took her shopping and she was the one who saw the pliers. After being confronted he denied everything I said and told me that I couldn't have had such an oil change. IF THAT WAS THE CASE I SHOULDVE BEEN TURNED AWAY IF WHAT I WANTED WENT AGAINST THEIR POLICY OF MAKING SURE NOT TO DAMAGE A CAR. But instead he ripped me off and overcharged me against my wishes. Claimed the pliers were not his and that he was going to call the cops on me for confronting him. My mother took the pliers and said good. If these are not yours, your finger prints shouldn't be on them at all. He didnt say a word after that and we left. I called corporate, and not long after received a call from one of the owners im assuming. After all that said and done. I asked for a refund or the difference of the amount of what I wanted and my scratch to be repaired. Instead I got a free tire rotation at another location in white bear lake. Thats a 20$ value btw. Absolutely ridiculous. I will be getting my tire rotation and I will be making sure I let EVERYONE i know never to go to ANY OF THESE LOCATIONS. Especially the Stillwater MN location. That manager should be fired. 0 customers service skills. Mad that hes even getting customers to begin with. I feel that their service/evaluation was thorough, and their communication throughout the process was exemplary. They are going to do follow up work on my brakes and I will see how that goes. I was told I needed new rear brakes, so I planned to replace them myself on Saturday, 12/29/25. When I went to start the job, my security socket was nowhere to be found. So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection. Needless to say, it was a major inconvenience--and I didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. This was my experience as a first-time customer. They refuse to take any appointments for oil changes and they don't care that customers want appointments. I have gone several times to get an oil change this month to be turned away because they are too busy and can't get it done before they close. So I ask when would be a better time. They always say between 2-3 pm. Yet that's the time I've been coming and I keep getting refused service. I pressed and asked why appointments can't be made and was told it's because the owners don't feel it's necessary. Um clearly the owners are clueless because the customers want it and when customers are being turned away it's clear you need appointments. I was told the owners are aware that customers want appointments but they refuse to do it.
