Great homemade hash , muffins, bread and delicious mimosas. A go to for our breakfast group at least once a month

Had brunch- fairly long wait for a table and they don't take reservations. I ordered the Florentine Benny and grits. They ran out of grits so substituted home fries. None of my food was hot so I can't say I enjoyed it. Not sure if I'll go backEggs Benedict. read more

Best menu for the best price! As a local of the area, this is my absolute fav place to come with my girlfriends. The service is always fast and great! My personal fav is the two egg breakfast with sourdough & potatoes. It's always PERFECT! I would recommend ginger and clove to anyone looking for a great bite! read more

Stopped in for a late breakfast on our way home from Portsmouth. The service was great! The food was "okay"....nothing outstanding for the $$$. I had scrambled eggs over fresh veggies. The vegetable were fresh and crisp (as I like them), but this dish wash definitely lacking seasoning. My daughter had the sweet potato hash bowl. She claimed that the sweet potatoes were definitely undercooked. She ended up using quite of bit of hot sauce to "perk up" her dish. Oh...she also noticed that the hot sauce had an expiration date of 11/21. read more

Came in for a quick bite and some mimosas before heading towards the boardwalk for the day. Restaurant was cute and bright. Service on the other hand wasn't the best. Our server barely attended to us. Not even a thank you when she handed us the check, felt as if we were an inconvenience to her for asking for the bill. I've worked in the restaurant industry for many years so I can understand if she was super busy and had a lot to do but that wasn't the case. She went to check on every other table multiple times- besides ours. Granted I still tipped at least 20% because like I said- I've worked in this industry for a long time and I understand that the money comes from the tips. Although I will say, I did not feel she deserved. Don't even know her name because she did not introduce herself when she approached our table, but please, do better. A smile and an occasional check in goes a long way. read more

Nice place to have breakfast...Very nice people that work there and the breakfast was so yummy! I had a veggie omelet that had green peppers,tomatoes, onion,spinach and cheddar cheese...So good and filling ...Comes with a choice of potatoes (very good) or grits and choice of toast...My hubby had the California bennie which was eggs Benedict with spinach and avocado...He enjoyed immensely...Definitely worth a try!! read more

Just had breakfast here and there was a little wait but well worth it. Food was delicious, excellent portions. Very friendly staff and love the light beachy feel and decor. I had the Cali omelette and hubby had the New Orleans eggs Benedict. Highly recommend it! We will be back. read more

We had a wonderful breakfast this morning. We shared the southern breakfast, plus 1 pancake for a side, and it was fantastic. Our server was very attentive. I drink decaf coffee which they had brewed and it was actually pretty decent - this is hard to come by in the era of watered down drip decaf that a lot of restaurants do today. They have a great menu and we will be back to try other selections for sure. We have one complaint - the woman sitting behind us was on the phone the entire time. We heard her numerous conversations with F'words galore and it was incredibly abnoxious & rude and really took away from our dining experience. My recommendation to the owner would be to post a sign telling patrons to kindly take their cell phone conversations into the hallway out of respect for other customers. You think others would be more respectful when in a dining establishment but apparently that is not the case. read more
