Freight House opened this week across the parking lot of Joe's Meat Shoppe (same ownership) in North Hampton. This casual café offers made to order breakfast & lunch sandwiches & bowls, fruit bowls, toasts, bagels & cream cheese, baked goods, coffee & tea drinks, juices, refreshers, hot cocoa, and cooler drinks. The coffee comes from Blue Harbor Coffee Co. The place is order at the counter and there is table seating here. I stopped by the Freight House recently. I ordered a Build Your Own Breakfast Sandwich ($7.99 plus tax) on an everything bagel, 2 eggs, chorizo, cheddar cheese, chipotle aioli and a Blueberry Scone ($4.50 plus tax), which I got to go. The sandwich was made to order and all set in 6 minutes. The breakfast sandwich was big with the fillings overflowing out of the bagel, which was dense & chewy. The scrambled egg sheets were soft layered with pieces of spicy sausage, sauce, and melted cheese. I added more sauces on my sandwich including hot honey and ketchup. The blueberry scone had a firm texture, not too crumbly and had plenty of blueberries, dried icing on top. The food went well with my hot black coffee (got it at another place). Overall, this a good place to stop for quick brunchy food on the go. The hours of operation are limited due to parking concerns by the Town.

Tried this new adorable little place (next to Joe's Meat Shoppe) for the first time today and they did not disappoint! I got the "build your own" breakfast sandwich with a plain bagel, two eggs, American cheese, and ham- nothing fancy, but what I was craving. :) It was perfection! The bagel was just the right amount of toasted; the cheese was perfectly melted, the ham was high quality and delicious; the eggs, scrambled just the right amount. It seemed more like a three egg sandwich! It was huge! I also got a regular coffee, which was delicious as well! Looking forward to trying more of their menu!

Clean neighborhood place with very good sandwiches and bagels. Excellent coffee from Blue Harbor. I like this place when I'm in the area.

Very delicious and enjoyed the service and food.

LONG REVIEW AHEAD. - our server tells us we can choose our own seats, which at first seemed awesome but her lack of care for us being there was uncanny. - NONE OF THE STAFF (other than the outdoor server) WERE WEARING PPE. No masks!! Not even the cook! A warning would've been nice. My mom's a nurse and has seen Covid impact firsthand. But ok. - when ordering, I asked if my meal comes with a side per the footnote on the page. I'm told no, only the ones with stars... ok cool I'm fine with it because it's Mac n cheese, so it's filling right? Remember this for later. - we wait about 40 minutes for our food with no follow up or update on it. (We were her only table). - THIS IS WHAT DID IT... food comes terribly COLD!!! Like it was sitting out for a while. My mom's steak was barely chewable because of the temp. Mine and my bother in law's Mac and Cheese was by no means "homemade." It tasted like Kraft with too much milk. Way too much. - back to the sides. There's a corn on the cob plopped on both his and mine's plates. So much for not coming with sides. The issue is he hates corn. And at no point did we have the server come up, explain and ask what side we would like. We saw her for drink order, food order, food delivery and check. We were there a while (including the 40 minute food wait). - lastly my $8 up charge for the two pieces of lobster meat I received was absurd. Should've gotten way more meat. This was awful. We vacation every year in Provincetown on the Cape and always have amazing dining experiences. The one year we branch out somewhere else in New England, we get this. I'm not sure if politics was involved due to my mom looking Hispanic(even though she isn't), my brother in law being black and me being gay. Not sure if we were too diversified for this establishment. We went back to our hotel and dined out in Portsmouth later where the experience was far different.
