Can you believe .. I have a 5/5 .. I generally give my reviews based on taste , service , ambience , cost etc and this restaurant check marked everything !! I love Chinese food and my wife loves Thai food . We went in and saw this restaurant has Chinese , Thai , Japanese food .. bingooo.. super awesome . Lots of parking outside .. now, let's get to the food .. The lunch special was so affordable and super good .. we had lunch for two of us for 25$ or something . Great value for money .. plus we ordered jasmine tea and they gave a pot full of tea - for free .. yes you heard it right - FOR FREEEE. They started off with chips and sauce . Was great . Didn't look healthy but we had a few bites of it . Miso soup was good . A bit of pepper in it , and it tasted great . Veggie with rice was good - Thai style ... and I had kung Pao chicken which was also awesome . Was less spicy but got their additional spicy sauce and it was perfect after that .. My two previous orders, over the past month, were very good. This time, I ordered the cashew chicken. It would have been so much better without the frozen vegetables. Even as the dish was hot, the carrots in the middle were cold. I will be stepping away and trying another place. read more

I've been coming to the restaurant for over 14 years when Wendy and Jeff owned it.... Through other owners once they sold. This was thee Place to Go for sushi and to bring your family or even a great Date night! You could clearly see the pride in the way they prepared and served their meals to you as you dined. Tonight is our Wedding Anniversary and we love Jasmine's restaurant. So, of course, that's where we came! We ordered the Shrimp Shumai appetizer and we saw our Favorite server, Tom... he is Amazing! We enjoyed the Baby bok Choy with garlic !! Delicious!!!!!!! We ordered the House Won Ton Soup that serves 2. It is perfect for 2! And General Tso chicken with white meat chicken and Singapore Mai Fun! Our favorite dinner selections and we chose fried rice instead of white rice. The shumai was delicious! But it went downhill when I saw strips of Cut up deli Ham steak in the Singapore Mai Fun. I didn't serve myself any yet, because I took some General Tso first and broccoli, which sadly tasted like Dirty or Bad frying oil. I looked over at my husband and his grimace told me Exactly How his meal was! I picked a piece of ham out of Singapore Mai Fun, which normally would have roasted pork, not deli ham in it. I know that probably sounds Bougie But the ham tasted and smelled rancid. My husband is a chef of 33 years and it wasn't just Smelling "Off" or a different kind of meat.... When we spoke with the owner, he swore up and down that he tasted the ham and that it was fine, when it wasn't. Just the thought of someone trying to convince us to eat something that was sour or food that went Bad, is sketchy. When we said that it wasn't enough that he still wanted to charge us for food that we didn't eat, food that was Bad, that's called Bad Business. Even when we tried to get their attention, they were Too Busy on their phones.... Right at the front of the restaurant. I mean, I don't have to break it down for you, who puts Deli ham julienned in an Asian dish that is supposed to have roasted pork?? We will Miss Tom, we wish Tom well, but sadly we will No Longer be dining at Jasmine's. I hope that my review of our experience will keep you informed of where Not to go, I'm now finishing my review and it is 9:48pm and my husband has been clammy and feeling very sick since we left Jasmine's restaurant. Came here for lunch one day because I was craving sushi. Ordered a couple rolls- spicy salmon roll, and salmon avocado. The crunch in the salmon roll tasted old, and oily. Simply the best for Cantonese style cooking locally IMHO. Their menu is extremely varied with offerings from other Asian cuisines.

Sushi is always good. Great party trays when you have alot of sushi lovers. Soups and appetizers are really good too. Only issue is sometimes they are s l o w with orders. Tell you 20 min and 40 min later...but other than that it's great. read more

I absolutely love this place! Great options fast service delicious food. They have fresh sushi with a great presentation. They are BYOB with a bottle shop a couple of doors down. We have not had anything that we did not love. The hibachi is a favorite of my husband and the kid's always enjoy the show. They do get packed up on the weekend nights so make a reservation for a big party. Carry out is also available. read more

It's the middle of the afternoon. I just got done shopping and then the hunger strikes. When this hits, I need to think of something quick and delicious or else I'll eat a horse. Luckily this place was right near where I was ending up. A quick call and ten minutes later I was eating delicious Wonton Soup and some Beef Lo Mein. The wontons themselves were a little thicker, but tasty. The broth was perfectly seasoned and the filling was spot on. The beef lo mein, I ordered a small, was just as it should. Had a delicious dinner of Chicken pad Thai. The waiter was excellent. Said he had been there since it opened many years ago. But when I got my bill, the pad Thai was no longer 9.95 but now 12.95. when asked they couldn't figure out what happened. Finally cashier said we must have updated the register but not the menus. Had a terrific hibachi dinner with my wife this past Sunday. Being new to the area it was our first time there but it will not be our last. We arrived without a reservation which we were told is usually a good idea for hibachi on the weekends. Nevertheless, after a minute or two of waiting they were able to accommodate us with a smile. The food was delicious and the service was some of the friendliest I've ever encountered. The orange slices we received after dinner were particularly good and when I asked where they got them from they brought one out for me to take home! Good food at a decent price and a staff that remembers that restaurants are a SERVICE industry can be surprisingly hard to find. We couldn't have been happier with our initial experience at Jasmine and we hope to return with our family sometime soon. read more

Honestly, not the best sushi I've had. I'd give it a 2 for the sushi - got a few spicy rolls like spicy salmon, tuna, etc., and they all tasted the same. The seaweed salad was pretty good, while the salad that came with the lunch special had such a bitter dressing, I couldn't eat it after a few bites. One thing I liked was that they had crispy noodles and duck sauce on the table when you come in. The staff is really nice, but when I called on the phone to ask if they had 3 roll lunch specials the guy said yes. On the menu it didn't have that as an option. They were able to accommodate us with a good price for the 3 rolls, so that worked out well. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with the food and the ambience felt really outdated. read more

First time ordering shushi. It was good had some regular rolls and some hand rolls. We had the shrimp tempura, california hand rolls, the Ming Dynasty Roll, and a Rainbow Roll. Add some shumai and we had a good meal. My local sushi place went out of business. I've been Looking for a replacement. We tried Jasmine tonight and it was good. If you want sushi this place gets the job done. It's not cheap if you order the specialty rolls. I had it delivered so I paid a tip and service fee on top but that is standard these days. I gave it 3 stars probably they missed a roll and the delivery was okay. I live one town over but it still took almost an hour. read more

Terrible -- Medford, NJ location: The Ribs Combo had tough ribs and any soft area was fat. Sesame Chicken was spicy - Sesame chicken is not spicy in any other restaurant we've been to. Worst was Sinapore Mai Fun. Almost flavorless. Only 2 shrimp. Pork and chicken pieces were tiny. Our local take-out Chinese restaurant has at least 10 shrimp and decent size chicken and pork in their $8 lunch meal! Never going back. read more

Just left after being excited to try this place for the first time. After walking in, I was told that we could not be seated because I didn't have a reservation. I told the hostess that if I had known I needed a reservation, I would have called. She said she couldn't accommodate us because they were only taking reservations. I asked if this was a common thing, and she replied no, then said yes. I was told the next available reservation time was an hour later. Jasmine was the best sushi in Medford. After my lunch there on Friday, I don't think I'll ever be back. My mom was coming to visit me at work for the first time and I wanted an excuse to have lunch here. Two birds with one stone! So she and I and my boss sit down and order and eat. They had Chinese dishes, I had sushi, which is prepared at the sushi bar separate from the kitchen where the Chinese food is prepared. So we eat and it's delicious and service is friendly. When the server picks up my mom's plate, A FRIGGIN COCKROACH SCURRIES OUT FROM UNDERNEATH THE PLATE. I kid you not, a cockroach. Like, an Al Paccino cock-a-roach. FROM UNDERNEATH THE PLATE OFF OF WHICH SHE HAD JUST EATEN. The server starts freaking out, grabs my boss's napkin and starts swatting at the thing, which is on the table directly in front of my mother. He finally crushes it and scoops it up in the napkin, all while apologizing, "oh so sorry, so sorry, I take away." When he brings the check out, we see they actually had the audacity to charge us at all for her lunch, and instead just gave us 20% off her meal. She probably ate a cockroach for lunch, and we still have to pay for it? I'm a pretty forgiving eater. I understand bugs are bound to show up from time to time in things like salads, dishes where fresh local produce is used, etc. I don't get squeamish about it.....but a cockroach? I can't. So as we're practically running out the door, the hostess yells to us "Ohhh so sorry about that, you know, it's summertime! They come from outside!" No. They came from your dirty kitchen. It's summertime in my kitchen, too, and cockroaches ain't on the menu, sister. It was horrifying, actually, and I felt like a huge turd for bringing my mother there.
