    House special seafood noodle soup

Joe's Peking Duck House has been our favorite spot for consistency, quality and creativity. My kids grew up there . The staff is always friendly and very accommodating. Newly renovated with updated tables, chairs, and wall decor. We enjoyed the seafood noodle soup, so good, and the 1st course of the Best Peking Duck in South Jersey. Crispy skin, succulent, tasty duck , shredded scallions and hoisin sauce rounded out a delicious meal. Treat yourself to the best. They will.not disappoint.

I got so many recommendations to try Joe's Peking Duck House and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is small but service is quick. Our group of 6 was in and out within an hour. FYI, it's cash only but there is an ATM inside. We ordered the Flounder Filet with Tofu and Vegetable, Honey Glazed Walnut Jumbo Shrimp, Beef Chow Fun, Steam Pork Juicy Dumplings, and Salt Fish and Diced Chicken Fried Rice. Can't go wrong with any of these choice! Food was delicious and we had plenty of leftovers.

This is a solid spot for Chinese dinner. Judging by the packed house it's a good place. We sat immediately and given menus there was a good amount of options including soup , noodle bowls , and traditional Chinese choices. We had a few different servers think they all cover the whole restaurant. The food was good , hot and tasted fresh. I had the a beef dish was tasty. The dish had lots of spicy peepers and jalapeños. Kung pao also good chock full of peanuts and chicken . The 4 stars are given for 2 reasons one they are a cash only option. This is over annoying since we're not cash carriers. The second is the dumplings were deep fried not pan friend and were greasier than normal. All in all good stop better to eat there unless you live close. Service and quality good compared to others .

We went here yesterday for the first time and it was so busy even before 6pm! Luckily we got in right before the rush. Every table was taken and it was extremely loud inside the restaurant. We started with the pork dumplings, which were absolutely delicious! For entrees, we had the shrimp lo mein and clams. The clams with pork were really good and unique. The shrimp lo mein was massive and good quality as well. They are also cash only, which is not mentioned anywhere online or in the restaurant. They did have an ATM on site to use, but they should let people know ahead of time online.

    Pecking duck roll

Food is quite under-seasoned. The chow fun needs to be saltier, but chicken is good, not dry. The pecking duck roll is pretty bad imo: the pancake is too thick, almost like a tortilla, and the duck doesn't taste quite the same as the typical pecking duck. Maybe because we are ordering individual roll instead of half/whole duck. Cash only! Price is affordable. Place is not too big.

Visiting from out of town and everyone on Reddit advised this was the best traditional Chinese Food place in the immediate area. Well, they weren't wrong. Came in for lunch, and paid $15 (cash only) for the Roast Duck and Pork combo. Service was kind and attentive. Had some good tea, and some great food. Just remember it is cash only. Would definitely be back. Friendly service, clean tables, great food!

I've been a Joe's fan since 1984, when he opened his first restaurant in Chinatown. This suburban New Jersey location has had its ups and downs over the years. The menu is less ambitious and the food coming out of the kitchen has occasionally been too bland, but as other good Hong Kong-style noodle houses have shown up to offer competition, then closed, Joe's has survived and thrived. You can't go wrong here ordering traditional noodle house dishes like soups, chow fun, mei fun, roast duck, char siu, and dumplings. We are partial to the Needle Noodle with Shrimp & Pork, though they now include baby shrimp unless you request jumbos (for a fee -- worth it!). The sleeper hit: flounder in scallion and ginger sauce with tender greens. Yum.

These people already have a ton of good reviews and so it's pointless for me to add one but...I usually eat in Philly but we had things to do in jersey and this place popped up. Plenty of parking in the lot which is a plus over Philly. We walked in around 1:30 on Father's Day, so it was busy but we got seated right away. Very friendly greeting. Everyone was nice which sometimes is lacking in many Chinese restaurants because they're like our food is good and that's all you need. Place was very clean inside, including the bathrooms. We got duck roll app which was as good, if not better than Philly. We got won ton soup which was great. The broth AND the won tons. We got beef ho fun which was perfect. We got roast duck and roast pork combo. We also got clams in black bean sauce which was like the best I ever had. Worth driving from Philly for this place.

Let's start with ambiance/location: located in a strip mall with many other shops. The restaurant itself is small, maybe can seat 30-35 people at a time. Looks like a typical Chinese restaurant. Staff is friendly and attentive. We waited about 20 minutes for our seat, not bad considering it was a Friday night. Now to the food: total cost was $137.50 not including tip. We ordered fish maw soup, dumplings, chicken fried rice, chicken with XO sauce, sizzling beef, seafood crispy noodles, and salt baked shrimp, scallops and squid. My favorite dishes were the seafood dishes but everything was so delicious! My daughter is a very picky eater and she loved the chicken dishes. The soup was a little bland and needed soy sauce with jalapeños (they used to serve this soup at every Cambodian wedding that came with a side of jalapeños dipped in soy sauce). This was our second time there and we will be returning. The first time we went, the only dish we weren't a fan of was the grandfather's chicken - it was too sweet but that's how it's made so no fault of the chef.

Is the dining room open or is it only take out?

    Dining room is open now.

Do they still only take cash?

    Yes

What are some vegetarian options I can order for my parents for dim sum?

Does anyone know if Joe's plans on reopening for take out orders and delivery? I miss the guys and top notch Chinese food!! Other Chinese restaurants are open but it's not the same. They would make a killing on take out and delivery orders.

They reopened for takeout on June 2. We ordered dim sum today. It was SO GOOD!

This place is a gem, when we came in we looked around and saw a comfortable atmosphere it was really fancy looking inside and it was perfect for a lunch with my mom. This place would be great to take a date or go with friends. The food quality was absolutely amazing, this is the best Chinese food I've ever tasted with unique flavors I have never tasted before. The staff was so friendly and we tried their rare teas they were delicious and as a tea lover I enjoyed talking and learning about the tea and its history and origin. We had orange chicken which was so flavorful the flavors were perfect and the quality of the chicken was absolutely amazing. We tried the honey walnut chicken as well and it had a smooth semi-sweet sauce it was another perfect dish. All in all I will definitely be back and others need to know about this spot. This place stays busy, and after trying the food, it's easy to understand why. The restaurant primarily focuses on takeout, which seems to be the main reason for the constant flow of people picking up orders. We decided to stay and eat because we had somewhere to be afterward and wanted to enjoy our meal before heading out. The restaurant itself is small, but the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly prepared Chinese food coming straight from the kitchen. It immediately sets the tone for what's to come. We ordered a variety of dishes including Chicken Udon Noodle Soup, Fried Chicken Wings, Broccoli and Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Shrimp Lo Mein. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the shrimp dishes were satisfying and well-seasoned, and the fried chicken wings were crispy and delicious. Every dish tasted like it was made to order, and the quality really stood out. It's clear that the kitchen takes pride in preparing food that keeps customers coming back. I've actually never heard of combining egg drop and wonton soup but my girlfriend loves it and King Wong does it upon request.
