Had a lovely dinner at Voltaggios! We were a little late to our reservation but we were still seated right away. This was during a weeknight, so it wasn't crowded at all. Our server was very attentive and accommodating to our requests. The dining space is dimly lit, so perfect for a romantic outing! Now onto the food! We had the deviled eggs, house rolls, the crab cake, the rack of lamb, filet mignon, and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious! But that standouts were definitely the rolls, lamb, and filet mignon. I wasn't a huge fan of the accompanying sauces with the steak, but it was good enough on its own! The rolls were so soft and the honey butter it came with was great (though the dijon did take some adjusting to). My husband enjoyed the lamb the most out of everything! We really enjoyed our evening at Voltaggio Brothers. We each started with a cocktail and they were delicious. For an appetizer, we had the rolls that came with a mustard butter and the lamb bacon. We absolutely loved the bacon and the rolls, but the butter just wasn't good. For dinner, I had the pork chops (which were huge- thick, juicy, and perfectly cooked) but I do wish the sauce was a bit thicker or more pronounced. My boyfriend had the rack of lamb, but when it came out it was a half rack so that was a little surprising. We got the trio of three sides, and really enjoyed the Mac and cheese and the asparagus, but the broccoli with the Greek yogurt was our absolute favorite. We did order 9 oz glasses of wine each, despite the absolute shocking price of $30 a glass. Personally, the dessert menu wasn't thrilled. We were celebrating an anniversary and they did bring us out complimentary macaroons which was super kind, but they were the kind from Trader Joe's so I'd almost say just do without. This steakhouse is tucked away in one corner of the MGM casino and can be a hike to get to if you are inside the casino. But you can bypass the casino and go straight to the steakhouse - if you make a left turn at the entrance. The food here is phenomenal and the services pretty good as well. First, let me say the service was amazing. They were attentive and on point. My wife and I were there for our anniversary and both ordered steaks - medium rare. Both our steaks came out well done. They retired our steaks and they came out fine. My problem is when the bill came, I was expecting some adjustment, but nope - we were charged full price for everything. Disappointing... We've been there several times, but based on this experience, I would be hard-pressed to go back - especially for a special occasion. I had a few hundred dollars in MGM points to burn so decided to treat the family to a very nice steak dinner. I've also always wanted to sample the menu from these celebrity chefs so it was a great opportunity. The joint is jumping. I'm happy that I made a reservation several weeks in advance because there was waiting room only. The atmosphere was comfortable but not cozy, probably because they have to handle such high volume. Service was prompt and friendly, but clearly, the wait staff is rushed. That's not to say that our waiter wasn't pleasant, but he had to hustle, so it affects the experience. The food is excellent as one would expect. Steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly. My daughter said that she had the best filet of her life. Had a very delicious meal here. Reservations were for 5:30pm on a Saturday evening. It was busy but that wasn't what caught my attention. The ambiance did. It was quite dark inside. Tables were spaced apart well, but I was also surprised at how casual some folk were dressed. I thought this was a fancier restaurant (shrug). Our server was quite pleasant. I think his name was David. My table ordered the blue crab pop tart as an appetizer it was delicious! Three people split it just fine. For my main, I had the cedar plank salmon. I was quite impressed with the size, as most restaurants only give you a little sliver. And it was quite tasty, along with the cauliflower falafel with hummus and broccolini. My table ordered a few sides: broccolini, mushrooms, brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes. I only had the brussels and sweet potatoes, and as others have mentioned, I would pass on the potatoes. The girls and I had dinner at Voltaggio after spending the afternoon at the casino. We had an 8pm reservation on a Saturday night, and we were seated right away, which was great! I had the filet mignon and mac n cheese - both were good. I couldn't finish my meal, but I brought the leftovers home, and they still tasted great when I reheated them the next day. My friends ordered ribeyes and said they were good also. We shared some appetizers and enjoyed a glass of wine each (there were four of us). He was hoping to enjoy some croutons or bread with his salad but we did not receive any of the sort. A friend had the wagyu pot roast (he has a gluten allergy and he was very pleased). I ordered the tuna tar tar and salmon. The tuna was the only dish I do not recommend. Though I love onions rings and sour cream, it did not go well with raw tuna and I was very disappointed with that dish as it states nothing about fried onion rings or sour cream. Booked a reservation for two for dinner before the show that we were scheduled to see in the theater. I was concerned after reading the email sent earlier that day that their may be delays in being seated due to high volume. Upon check-in we were asked to sit and wait however it wasn't more than five minutes. We actually arrived three minutes before our scheduled reservation slot, thankfully. From the moment that we were seated, service was phenomenal and attentive. I had already looked up the menu prior to booking so I had an idea of what to order and be shared between my mom and me. They shared specials. Every dish was absolutely delicious. We shared a 16 oz ribeye (medium rare) that was conveniently sliced for easy sharing. It came with three sauces as listed. We chose the three sides for $35 deal: asparagus, spinach artichoke, and russet potato. We went back and forth about getting our own potato but in hindsight we are so glad we did not. The potato was more than enough for both of us. I've never seen a potato so large. The ambiance was upscale and dim lit. Everyone was well mannered. While we did not have room for dessert they brought out a complimentary birthday dish for my mother. Came for my cousin's husband's birthday. The restaurant reminds me of a Beauty and the Beast Belle's Restaurant in Disney World. Very high ceilings. Posh booths and various tables with marble tops. Oh this feels expensive. Looking at the menu, yes, it's a expensive steakhouse. Everything is a la carte. This is a special occasions/event place. The Washington Capitals happened to have their end of season team dinner in one of the private rooms. We decided on the Parker House Rolls ($12 for 6) served in a cast iron dish. Served with Honey Dijon Butter. This is a must get! Hot and fresh. The butter has a hit of dijon when you first taste it but flows and ends with the sweetness of honey. I could have just feasted on those rolls all night. Yesn that damn good. I opted for the 10 oz of Australian Waygu Hanger steak ($72) and a side of Broccolini ($14). Our food did take a while to come out. When it came out, the broccolini was warm as was the hanger steak. Should have been piping hot. I suspect it was ready but waiting on the other steaks so it sat waiting and cooled. The hanger steak was seasoned perfectly and extremely tender. Not sure if the knife was sharp but when cut, it was so soft. As I tasted it, you hardly needed teeth to chew. It could have been gummed. You could tell it was grass fed as it didn't taste like regular USDA corn fed beef. The fried beef tendon chip was very unique. Looks like fried pork skin (chicharonnes) but it melted in my mouth. It was seasoned nicely as well. The broccolini was cooked well. Didn't taste the salsa verde but the yogurt dressing lacked flavor. But in terms of the veggie itself, it was very good. Needed a tad more seasoning. Maybe quickly grilled or sauteed with garlic would have helped. I tried the mashed potatoes and it was smooth and creamy. Delightful. The twice fried chips/fried were crispy on the outside, fluffy and potatoey on the inside. PERFECTLY FRIED FRIES! Best I have ever had. Didn't try the sprouts. They looked good. Our friend didn't finish all of it. Since the place was busy for dinner, the service was very good but not exceptional. We did get dessert. I chose the Key Lime Pie. Everyone else went with the Chocolate Cake. When the dessert arrived, it was not a slice of pie. It was a deconstructed piece of art. Graham and coconut crumbles. Coconut sorbet/ice cream. Green concentrated globs of tart key lime curd/custard and a dehydrated chunks of whipped cream. The most unique dessert I have ever had. It was an experience. For $16, it was a bargain. Other places would have charge twice as much. Men's bathroom was small. A urinal and a stall. Clean though and had mini bottles of Scope and some cups which held packaged toothpicks. Popular music played as background noise. Dress is collared shirt and slacks. But I saw people in shorts and one person who wore basketball shorts and flip flops. I suspect he was a high rollin' poker player. Overall, it was a very interesting and unique culinary experience. $$$$ is correct. Most of the quality of food justifies the price tag. Quality is high level. Execution could use a little improving as well as service. Also, if you order soda, refills are not free as each soda can (8 oz) is $5.00 each. I booked the night before and there was a lot of availability. The restaurant is located in the MGM, so there is free parking. The restaurant ambiance was really nice. We sat in the main room. Had a very memorable meal here celebrating a belated birthday. The restaurant is quite large and each section had a different vibe. My friend and I had a large booth to ourselves. We started off with cocktails (I had a carrot one with gin and it was very good) and we shared the tuna ceviche. For mains, my steak was cooked perfect medium rare. If you're not going to order appetizers expect to wait pretty long for the entrees to come out... my entire family had ordered steaks and it felt very long as we sat there chatting while waiting for our food with sides. They do bring out everything together and two of our filet migons were a bit cold when we received it. Steaks here are amazing though especially as a rare steak eater they did amazing. Our recent dinner at Voltaggio Brothers Steak House, located within MGM National Harbor, did not reflect the pricing or the upscale image being promoted. We were a party of four dining before a concert at the property. Despite having reservations, we waited to be seated. There were additional concerns expressed at our table throughout the evening, but I will refrain from detailing those here and focus only on the most significant issues. I ordered the 16-ounce ribeye, medium well. It arrived undercooked with blood on the plate. It was taken back and returned closer to correct the second time, but I had to sit while the rest of the table ate. At this level, a steak should be right the first time. The table total was $430.39 before gratuity. When the check was presented, we were told it could not be separated. There had been no notice of that policy beforehand. After speaking with a manager, the server returned with two checks. The one placed in front of me totaled $233.79. Believing the charges were accurate, I added a $46.25 gratuity, rounding the total to $280. After reviewing my paperwork at home, I discovered I had two printed copies of Check #491378 showing different subtotals. The check I paid included three "special drinks" at $18 each, when only one was ordered. That represents a $36 overcharge before gratuity. The second printed copy reflected a different subtotal of $214.13. The same check number showing different totals raises obvious concerns. When the numbers are corrected and gratuity is recalculated at 20 percent, the accurate total should have been $213.76. Instead, $280 was charged. The difference is $66.24. I first contacted MGM National Harbor and received a response stating the matter had been forwarded to the restaurant's General Manager. Since then, I have written the restaurant multiple times and have received no response. For a restaurant charging over $430 before tip for a four-person dinner, billing discrepancies combined with repeated silence are extremely disappointing. The lack of accountability has overshadowed the entire experience. At this price point, professionalism and customer care should not require repeated requests. read more
