Came on a Thursday night, early show. The good: beautiful atmosphere and vibe. The music and sound was fantastic. Drinks and table service were great-- for drinks. We had a real issue with food service. Ordered two simple salmon handhelds at 6 pm. At 640 pm; asked server where our food was. She told us it was coming. Meanwhile, we see food slowly trickling out to other tables-- including one table that arrived at 610 pm-- AFTER we ordered and after the show started. Why wasn't our order prioritized? This tells me it was lost and only put in when we complained. At 650 pm, spoke with manager, who said, "we only have one guy doing food, and we've never had so many food orders on a Thursday". Not the right answer, Mr. Manager. Here's the thing: this space holds about 45 people. We were in a position to see the whole room. There were six employees basically standing around (including the manager) after we complained and one guy slowly doing food (he was in plain sight, not in a kitchen). Maybe solve the problem by helping him? We finally got food after an hour, and it seems our order was probably lost, and was not acknowledged and prioritized after we called it out. Also, the handhelds we ordered are so simple that they literally could be made in two minutes. Manager comped our food and gave us desserts. But would not recommend coming here and expecting good service for food. read more

Really enjoyed visiting Ginger Rabbit yesterday. Ginger Rabbit is a jazz lounge that has cocktails and a limited food menu. It has a swanky, classy feel. Tables are reserved in 90 minute increments, which is enforced. I got the Carrie Bradshaw Plays Bosa Nova, which came with Gin, Montenegro, Yellow Chartreuse, Cranberry, and Lime. I will note that most patrons were dressed a bit fancier (e.g., blazers/ sport coats), so that is something to keep in mind if you are visiting. Overall, loved the music, service, and atmosphere here. Highly recommend checking it out! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They seem very arrogant and entitled considering that they serve food out of a can. I came the first week that it was open and it was a very great vibe but ever since then they have been very uppity and snippy about who they let in. They claim that they have a "wait list", when the bar is completely open and they have a ton of tables open. The bouncer is not friendly and the whole establishment seems to act better than everyone. read more

Fabulous vibes and music! This is such a cool place. Everything was well thought out from the decor to the cocktails and music. They made us aware of the 90min reservations which was appreciated. It downstairs which gives it a speakeasy vibe from the start and once inside, it was perfectly dim lit and comfortable. The glass tile in the bathroom was amazing! We also loved how they carried the logo to the drink napkins and menus. There's a lot of attention to detail! Our only suggestion would be to have the staff up their attire a bit to go with the theme as they were wearing T-shirt's and jeans-many super casual. Maybe black collared shirts with the logo or something simple but a bit more old timey like the bartenders? Definitely recommend and can't wait for their third sister restaurant! read more

Such a cute vibe!! At first I felt a little out of place because tobpulls a bit of an older crowd (I am 23) but once the jazz started I was obsessed. The drinks were really good (a gin bar so if you don't like gin I wouldn't really recommend it). You need to get reservations in advance because it is a small area. I can't believe I am just discovering Ginger Rabbit's existence after having been around Columbus for quite a while. My gf and I went for the first time on a Thursday evening. Reservations are made through Resy and the link can be found on their website. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Tues-Thurs reservations are for 1hr 45 minutes and Fridays/Saturdays reservations are for 1.5 hours. They do have bar space available on a first come first served basis. Live jazz is featured every might and a $5 music fee is applied to your bill to compensate the musicians. The have an extensive drink menu featuring cocktails, wine, beer, gins, whiskeys, and bourbons. Expect to pay typical prices for drinks. The cocktails we tried were all fun and pretty good. They do have snacks available but we did not end up purchasing any because they are on the pricier side ($35 for a charcuterie board). The food did look quite delicious and much of it is locally sourced meats, cheeses, and spreads. The service throughout the night was exceptional. Definitely will be back here in the near future! read more

Super cute new jazz lounge in Columbus! The cocktails were FANTASTIC. I got the Carrie Bradshaw and the Monkey Gland, both were very very good. My friend got the Ponyboy which was also delicious. A live jazz band was playing when we were there and they were excellent although I didn't realize it would be such a "show". It felt weird trying to make conversation with the people around me since all the seats face the jazz band and we didn't want to be rude. Overall super cute inside and we had a good time. read more

Came here on a surprise date with my gf and it was so fun!!! She made us reservations online and it seems like that's highly recommended because they referenced the list before they let us in. This cool speak easy is hidden just off High St and there's street parking available nearby and at Goodale park. When you enter, you'll walk downstairs to find an upscale bar and jazz lounge. There's surprisingly a lot of seating with mostly seats for pairs of 2 but also seating for groups to the side and seating at the bar as well. They have a few appetizers that looked good but were a little pricey so we didn't try any this time. There's an extensive drink and cocktail menu with fun, inventive options and you can't go wrong- they were excellent! Cocktails range from $10-15. Staff were nice and gave good recommendations. Great set tonight. Good service and we enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. But food was very disappointing and expensive. The appetizers were modest, but the mains were ridiculous. What amounted to a tin of fish you could get in the grocery store for $5 was closer to $30 and came with just some bread slices and a tiny spot of green. This place is awesome so I'm sad to be leaving this review. I went with a friend on a week night and you could only reserve a table for 90 minutes max. Our service was fine. Waitress was nice. She came over to let us know we had 15 minutes left on our table. We were respectful of that and she closed out our tabs. Walking out, we noticed several other open tables but just assumed they were reserved. On our way out the door, however, the man checking IDs was telling some others walking by to "come on in" because they "have plenty of open tables". But be prepared, they kick you out after 90 minutes, the food is just ok (and very limited) and they charge $20 per table to "tip" the band. Sorry, shouldn't the lounge pay for the band!?!
