A great place for the old-fashioned country breakfast! I had the Western omelet with hash browns. The omelet was excellent with GREAT flavor. Others at our table had biscuits and gravy (huge portions) with hash browns and sausage patty. Another had the bacon avocado breakfast burrito; also huge. The service was outstanding! It's open only for breakfast and lunch. Saw a hamburger served at another table. Could easily have fed two people. Excellent value for the money! Will be back again. read more

Found this on Yelp for a Sunday breakfast. Not fancy at all except for the food on your plate. I ordered the Ginger omelette which pretty much includes the whole kitchen. Crispy hash browns and a biscuit with gravy. I managed 1/2 the omelette which was delicious but I was stuffed. It's huge. The hash browns were perfect which is rare when you order crispy. The wife got country fried steak w scrambled eggs hash browns and a biscuit. She will have two more meals at least. Reasonable cost and great food is a winning combo read more

Our family of 4 was staying at the Adam's Mark for a weekend away. I knew Yelp would lead us to something local and good for breakfast. Ginger's was about a 10 minute drive and worth the short drive. There was no wait at about 8:45. The 9yr old boy ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, 15 yr old boy had the French toast scramble. BF had the Farmer's scramble and I am the boring one getting 2 eggs, bacon and dry toast. The 3 pancakes were huge and tons of chocolately goodness. He ate about 1.5 and had to give in. The French toast scramble was gone before you could blink. The Farmer's scramble came with a biscuit that the BF said was so good he could have just had two of those. Mine is always good lol. This was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant feels like a step back in time. Like a diner in a small town in the 1960's, with smells that remind you of homemade breakfasts from your childhood. They serve a really decent breakfast at Gingers and a good cup of coffee to go with it. There were several options on the menu that sounded good, but I went with the French toast. It was cooked well and my eggs and bacon were made exactly as I requested. Coffee refills were frequent, and the servers were quick even though they were busy on a Saturday morning. This was honestly one of the BEST dining experiences I've ever had. We came to this area for a family emergency. No one was in a good mood but this place was the highlight of our day. We came for breakfast and we got coffees all around. The waitress was perfect. No frills, and fast. My brother got biscuits and gravy, hash browns, and eggs. I got French toast and eggs over easy. The biscuits and gravy were honestly the best I've ever tasted (of course we all tried each other's food). My Mom had eggs and toast. The hash browns were perfectly golden brown with no soggy spots and I overheard someone coming in JUST to order the hash browns. Our total for ALL of our meals was $20. Seriously. The ambiance was provided by the 1995 boombox playing Queen and other classics everyone loves. If I lived anywhere near Raytown I would come here all the time. I love this restaurant! I have never came and left disappointed! The service is pleasant, at times it's busier, so it's a tad bit slower, but they still manage to get you taken care of. The food is that home cooked loving that you expect to get every time you go home to visit! Very reasonably priced and you definitely get more than you're paying for! What a great find. Little tiny place that serves fast delicious meals. I like to see how breakfast places make THEIR biscuits and gravy. So we ordered a 1/2 order the wifey and I did and to our surprise we got hashbrowns with the order. They were cooked up the way I liked with some crunchy bits. The biscuits and gravy were good but kinda tasted like packet gravy. No sausage chunks but it was edible. I ordered a sausage and cheese omelet and asked for additional tomato and onions inside. I got a huge omelet that looked like they used a beater to make the omelet fluffy. It was not overly beaten so there was some texture with everything. The staff were very nice and helpful. We noticed a lot of first name basis customer relations which tells me that there are a lot of regulars and that's fantastic cuz we will be back soon. read more

Well the main reason I'm giving one star is because a friend and I attempted to try this place, arrived, went in, stood there for nearly 10 minutes and the lady at the front counter barely acknowledged us. Never told us to seat ourselves, just stood there. Watched a group of 4 get up and leave because the server had never come to their table. Don't just expect people coming into your establishment KNOW what to do. This is why most restaurants at minimum have a sign telling you to either wait or seat yourself. They had neither and apparently the woman at the front counter couldn't be bothered to utter the simple statement "Please, seat yourselves". read more

My wife and I happened upon this little mom and pop place and were surprised to find excellent service and food. Aimee ordered the Bacon/Avocado burrito--filled with gooey cheese, avocado, egg, bacon and pico. Hashbrowns on the side and a consistently half-full cup of tea perfected her experience. I ordered the Veggie Scramble--a generous portion of peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese and eggs. Sided by home fries (deliciously seasoned), sour dough and a coffee, my meal was filling and satisfying. Our server was kind and ever-available but not annoyingly so.
