We are vegan eaters and are able to customize pizzas to our liking. There are lots of items to choose from for all people. The ambiance is amazing! It's bright with many neon signs & a huge pizza oven. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Service is always fast for us. A large patio is available in the summer and there's even a room that seats 60 if your party is that large. I can't complain about Gino's. (Their new name is Gino's Fired Up Kitchen.) read more

Was overcharged for dinner. Fettuccine with chicken and vegetables 14.99+5.99+4.99 should be 25.97 was charged 29.99 Kara Took our dinner order with our drink order and appetizer came out right away then salad and dinner right after that, all food was on table at same time. We felt rushed out. She never got my water and never checked back during our meal. Atmosphere is nice. Will try pizza next time. Will go back but will not order dinner until done with salad. FOOD: - house salad: basically a bowl of lettuce piece w/ shredded carrots and Italian dressing... should have ordered the Caesar instead as that looked more appetizing - mashed potato: lack of butter taste, but you were able to taste the potato bits... with the addition of gravy, still needed some salt & pepper to bring out the flavour - veal: very crunchy, reminded me of pork/ chicken katsu... but lack of the actual meat flavour, all you tasted were tomato sauce and the cheese - gravy: mushroom gravy basically but not enough flavour ATMOSPHERE: - very spacious, have 2 sides with either darker or a brighter side read more

I ate at this place just under a year ago and to this day my partner and i talk about how atrocious the food was. Chicken noodle soup comes out of a big metal tub... right in front of you. Absolutely tasteless. Pizza? Clumpy cheese that falls off the crust. Also pretty tasteless, given that the sauce is equivalent to water. The inside looks nice though. Workers were nice. Even though Covid is putting a damper on dine in restaurants, Gino's is continuing their wonderful service through take out. Always ready when you need it, and always delivered with smiles (even behind the masks). Excellent food. The chicken and veal parm are favourites for my family. WE had a birthday party there last night with approximately 14 people. Atmosphere was good, very relaxed, food was great, and the server ran her butt off for everyone with a smile on her face! One person had a Greek salad that was actually not very tasty (lacking authenticity) and that was her entire meal. When asked how it was and she mentioned that she did not care for it, it was removed from her bill, with apologies and an offer to quickly substitute something else! NOW that always speaks volumes to me if something is not quite right and an establishment wants to keep the customer happy! Price, value and taste where all 5 star. I have given this restaurant several(too many) chances, especially wanting to support small business during Covid. Their daily special prices are great but don't waste your money. Meatballs are hard like rocks. Pizza crust is like leather. I added sausage to mine and it tasted worse than the industrial sausage you get in economy packs. Yesterday I ordered their combo pack with Veal parmesan, wings, homefries and fried raviolis. The veal was very sinewy and I had to throw out the flats of the wings as they were almost petrified. Strangely, the wings also tasted fishy like they had used the same grease. Overall, for an "authentic" Italian Restaurant, you can do much better in Sault Ste. Marie! read more

We tried this on a suggestion from a local, That being said she may not have ever EVER had Italian food before and that is why she thought it was good. I cannot remember the last time I have eaten a complete meal and it was this bad. First the good the place was nice and wait staff super nice as well. and the rest..... Started with Calamari and it was oily over cooked and rubbery. They brought out a bowl of "Salad" or a head of iceberg lettuce swimming in watered down ranch dressing, no bueno. My wife ordered poutaine made up food. basically fried raviolis covered in cheese and other mystery stuff. My daughters ordered spaghetti and steak. the spaghetti was regular pasta with watered down red sauce. my other daughter had a steak. Which was the best of the food on our table but it was not good. Now to my meal, I dont know what I was thinking but I got chicken and ribs, I know I was asking for it ordering this at a Italian restaurant. I swear both my proteins were boiled and then fried. It was so bland that i could not have finished this meal. Overall people very nice, place was ok, food not so good. read more
